I have a level 96 bred sabertooth with over 12k HP and 800% melee. Ain’t scared of nothing. And with an Otter shoulder friend you’ll never worry about hot or cold caves or any critter in them. Great duo.

Get a good saddle and its better than a dire wolf especially for caving.

Better than a raptor and terror bird and better than a wolf with a good saddle and no pack. Tougher than they look don't listen to the comment saying they aren't a worthy tame. Play scorched earth and you'll see how good it is as an early tame.

Be cautious in water, my 190 died to a bloody jellyfish. Also if you tame it in the mosh pit, and you don’t live there, pick it up with an argy or cryopod it.

Definitely my go to when I need meat and hide. I also use this one if there is a threat outside my base that puts myself and my Dino’s in danger. Melee damage is fast hits so I recommend pumping the melee damage and stamina for an effective predator.

I have a level 144 and i still use it for harvesting hide because they get so much also if u find a sheep expect around 155 pelt. :]

If you don’t have a baryonyx and get a high lvl one of these, than they are pretty good for the easier caves on THE ISLAND.

If in need of a transport or chitin this guys are the best I use my level 72 saber tooth for traveling and fighting he took down an alpha Rex only level 4 though

On MOBILE-

If you like doing roleplay, use black dyed amber dust and give it to the saber. Level it to like 500-600 weight, put lots of speed, and a decent amount into stamina,level whatever you want after that, then name it Bageera from Jungle Book😁👍🏼

I understand why people say these are ‘useless’, they are not exactly meant for battle due to their difficulty to tame them because they live in the northern snow areas populated by creatures that want to kill you, although they are decent for hide and chitin farming, head to a cave (obviously excluding the two snows) and you will find that you will get a lot of chitin. Note: Upgrade melee, health and weight if you want to use the sabertooth for this purpose.

Fr these guys are p humble. Yeah they’re not crazy strong but they look cool and actually have really great meat spoil time which I never even knew until literally just now. Good cats

These things are op at getting hide, they ride fast, kick ass and grab hide, chitin and keratin not so much last

I was riding mine and killed some dodos and parasaurs then after I looked age have like 290 hides. Great for farming hide if need some!

In ark mobile you could breed a high level male and female imprint them to 100% and put some levels into health some into melee (atleast 10-15k hp)and you could run the strong cave easily because of its knockback just dont get cornered

Dododex needs to update to show that they can fit through double door frames. With the implementation of the homestead update, all of dododex needs the new thing.
