THESE GUYS ARE AMAZING AT GETTING CHITTIN!!!!

Some say sabertooth is useless cuz it just have 1 attack(claw even it have large teeth)but the reason why i use it:

1.It gather more hide than raptor

2.It little bit faster than raptor

But i still use my raptor

Collects hide, chitin, and keratin very well. Very good in caves. A good tame to use in a group with mate boosting. Stronger than raptors, and requireing a saddle gives them more defence than a wolf. With a short breed time a good tribe can breed awesome stats into them quickly. Good to use on s.e. in a group to hunt deathworms

So funny thing is these guys are seriously underrated. You probably never tried but you can use saber to kill alpha rex any level, if you stay on its foot the rex can't hit your hitbox

Like a mini version of Thyla and the cousin to dire wolf. Saber tooth’s are fast and deals lots of damage. Very useful for the cave divings. Using bolas on these would work very well. Works well from early-mid games. VERY VERSATILE

If the question ‘which is better dire wolf or sabertooth’ comes in mind, as amazing the saber tooth is by appearances, It’s honestly outclassed by the Dire Wolf.

They need an upgrade. Imagine your pet cat, but it weighs a thousand pounds. You want it to do kitty things but on an a thousand pounds kitty scale. Maybe weaker than a thyla, but it should be similar. They’re cats, after all.

If you need hide , pelt , or chitin, then this is the animal to pick . Speed is decent and they are perfect for caves . Sabers don't fit in all caves so be careful . Plus they are super cute when they are babies !

Very useful, mainly for hunting. Only thing is weight...

I play on mobile. Stat lv up after tame is Hp 12,14%, Sta 10%, Oxy 10%, Wg 4%, MA 4%, Spd 3%. Very good for collecting chitin and hide, and a good fighter for both land and underwater. Swim like bary. Good for cave too. Hope it can cause bleeding with it's attack, i mean it's a sabertooth right? Just my opinion.

This is one of the best creatures for early-mid stage tribes. It’s so easy tame, it’s fast, powerful, and common in the North and mountains of the island. Smilodon is a great ally and if you have a larger tribe with a cat each, it’s an unstoppable force.

I tamed a level 175 once and it went up to level 204 when tamed and I maxed it’s speed and damage so now it’s a murderous Usain Bolt that can kill a giga in one shot

Let's be honest guys, they aren't as strong as thylacoleos but, they looking better and taming faster. So, if you are a shepherd, if you have a pack of megaloceros, you can use them as shepherd tigers. They can taming fast, breeding fast, and also they are strong. They can protect your base and packs of megaloceros/sheeps. I mean, if you wander your sheeps, they can win XP faster and better. So you have to protect them outside. And sabertooths are the best way for do that. They can fight against bears, wolves, and also thylacoleos. Your pack is safe. Trust them.

Collects more hide than meat.

Don't let these guys fool you. They may seem weak, but sabers are legitimately one of the best gateway dinos. Tame two high-leveled cats and breed them, imprint the baby, and boom- you've got your ticket to taming thylas, argents, bears, barys, etc. Pump up their health and you can face tank any of these things while knocking them out. Work up their weight a bit and you'll be able to tail your tame when it starts running. These guys are also great for kiting dinos into pens. In all ways a thylacoleo is better, but if you're not at that stage in the game yet, then get yourself a sabertooth.

Don’t try to run up a volcano because they have terrible fall damage. I learned that the hard way.

In my personal experience (I love sabers) they are really good in pvp for 2 reasons 1they are small enough to be discreet when going around the map running from people and 2 they are so fast and can deal so much damage consecutively in such a short amount of time that you just rip through players even in flak
