These things are amazing, especially if you are low level. I found a level 150 (max level) in the redwoods, and it helps collect so much hide and chitin. 100% recommend.

You find these just about everywhere. Mostly in the tundra in small 2-3 packs. However, you may also find packs of them in the redwood mountains or large grass plains, and of course on carnivore island.

They're torpor is very high

For the people calling them overpowered, most creatures can become overpowered if imprinted and/or well pumped and high level. It is better than, say, a raptor, definitely. But compared to something like a baryonyx or thyla they are not as strong (though easier to tame).

My damn saber baby ate his dad... They were litterally standing next to eachother and when I left to tame a yuty and when I came back his dad was gone and the "baby" was standing in his place fully grown up.

I think they've got reduced fall damage. Just like a good kitty always falling on dem paws.

Sabers are good beginners cave runners but unlike the dire wolf these guys have saddles which means if you have a good saddle caves are gonna be quite easy for you

Kind of a weird post, but I was out hunting parasaur for easy hide after a quick tame on the sabertooth, next thing I know I’ve got red dye in my saber’s inventory and 3 stacks of hide. Not sure how but it was there.

Half baked island on the center has packs of them.

If you need to tame one follow my instructions carefully, first thing you wanna do is find a sabertooth, where it is by itself, you can either trap it or bola it, personally either is good but I usually bola them, then I get tranq arrows and shoot it in the head with it I got a low level one cause I was desperate for one and it only took 6-7 tranq arrows, you can use a bow or crossbow whatever you like, I do recommend crossbow though since it’s a little more effective. You also can use meat or prime meat I highly recommend prime, but if you don’t have that use regular meat. I highly suggest taking narcotics, just in case it wakes up, hope this was helpful.
