Act III: Griffin
Chapter 20
The commanders agreed it would be best for all of Griffin's Kin to join the other flocks at Winter's Mouth. The cold was their only advantage against fire wielding argents. The journey only took half a day, but Silvermane was still exhausted when they returned.
While Riot and Kald spent their time introducing Griffin's Kin, Silvermane went to the small rock overhang Corvi's nest was under. She was still asleep. According to Sundown, she still hadn't woken up, but was almost completely healed. "Hi, Corvi," Silvermane said, sitting down next to her. There was no response.
Silvermane sighed. "We found Griffin's Kin. It was pretty scary, all those griffins up there. I thought it'd be scarier, but they actually just laid around and watched us." He paused.
"I tried to be brave, like you. I think if a griffin did try to attack us, I would've run. That reminds me, the golden argents know how to dive bomb, like the griffins do. Goldie, she's the commander of Griffin's kin, she showed me. She said she might teach me sometime." Silvermane sighed again. "I just wanted to tell you about my day."
"That's great and all, but could you shut it and let me sleep."
Silvermane froze and looked at Corvi. Her eyes were still closed, but she had stopped snoring.
"Corvi?"
One of her eyes cracked open. "What?"
Silvermane thought he might cry. He hugged her as tightly as he could.
"Ow, ow, ow, ow! Stop it, you're going to break me again!"
"Sorry." Silvermane couldn't stop a smile from beaming on his face.
[Yeah, she's alive ... but if you know anything about me, I can't write a story without killing of at least one of the main characters ;) And Fryse was not a main character...]

I'm playing with my 7 yo son. He wanted a griffin so we started taming one with prime.
After 2,5 hours and 250 narcotics we finally got it!
I took the supporting argys one way (back to base by green obelisk), and he took the griffin for a spin around the canyon.
Griffin ran out of stamina, crash landed next to a Therezinosaur, he started fighting it instead of letting griffin regain stamina, and got it killed within 3 minutes of us taming it.
That, ladies and gentlemen, is a testament to why children shouldn't be allowed expensive toys.
Let the young'uns of Ark play with Argys, they're plentiful, durable, and easy to tame.

Act III: Griffin
Chapter 16
Griffins. Silvermane had never seen them up close, until now. He, Riot, and Kald stood on the northeastern beach facing Far's Peak. Even at this distance, the shapes of griffins soaring around the mountain were unmistakable.
"What's the plan?" Riot asked Kald.
"We need to stay low. The sky is too open, the griffins will spot us immediately. Stay under the trees."
Silvermane felt a lump in his throat. He'd heard Far's Peak was notorious not only for griffins, but for gigas as well. A few of the snow argents had been talking about it before they left, how Griffin's Kin used to be as large as the other flocks before they were massacred by a giga.
They trudged through the thick foliage, keeping their eyes open for raptors and allos. Silvermane looked back at the island in the distance. Dead Island, they called it, one of the most dangerous places they knew of. If it was the most dangerous, Far's Peak had yo be a close second.
Riot froze suddenly, spreading a wing to let the other two know to stop. "What is it," Kald asked. Riot shushed him. "Listen."
There was a sound like whistling wind getting louder and louder, and a flash of gold dropped from the sky. The ground beneath them shook and the air had been clouded with dirt and dust.
"Griffin!"

By the way, you'll hear mention of this giga massacre a few more times. I'm considering writing a short spin off story about it, so when this one's finished, I'll ask if anyone's interested in reading it and decide if I'm going to do it.]

Manticore, I popped in a few days ago and as far as I can tell yes, it is still active. However, the server isn't really the same (at least not for me). There was a huge fight between Seasnake and DTG and Bob about how the server was being run (which we had had those fights before but this one was BAD).
That led to a lot of drama, (which is a large reason why I became inactive and deleted the app) including Snek leaving the server. When I checked in a few days ago, I asked Bob and he says he and DTG still aren't on great terms with her.
However, the others like Dilo Girl and Silverwings still seem to be active. I actually hadn't heard from Snek at all until she reappeared on dodo dex. Thought that meant she and DTG and Bob had made peace, but sadly no, so the server doesn't feel whole to me.
Not to discourage you from joining! Please do, it'll give you the chance to meet some more OGs!

DON'T BREED THESE. IT'S A NIGHTMARE. DON'T MAKE THE SAME MISTAKE I DID.
So, I got a griffin named Thèsaryss and a griffin named Raduuyss (you have to get two griffins with the same last 3 letters of their names to breed them)
and bred them. I got a golden griffin egg, tried to hatch it, but I had to go to a colder area. I went to the artic, built some campfires and I HAD TO WAIT 2 HOURS FOR A TINY GRIFFIN TO HATCH. When it hatched, I had to take it back to the base and put it by it's mom. SERIOUSLY? A BUNCH OF TIME FINDING A MATCH AND HATCHING AN EGG FOR A TINY GRIFFIN. BRUH.
