When you encounter it with tame it chases rtame so you want to go with a tame that can die

theres a glich were if you go into the second seat of your griffin wait about 5-10 sec and you get stam even when ur flying just make sure its not following anything if it trys to land go higher isk if it works on other devices but it works on my phone or it might just be bugged idk

Useless tame. Not worth wasting time to tame this in official server.. unless you're already got nothing else to do in game (end-game).

Try to trap it knock it out with toxicant arrows or darts get crown be lvl 85ti tame for the trap build pillars and Dino gate but make sure there is enough room to get through it then lure in your griffin then knock it out get soothing balm and allo kibble find a low lvl griffin starve it then use the soothing balm and allo kibble

If your taming one and it’s a high lvl then I suggest just letting it starve after trapping it so that it doesn’t take as long, you will have to check on it quite a bit tho to make sure it’s still sleeping and losing food though.

So you know there are toys in the premium shop that boost maturity rate by 1.8x-2.1x? Yeah that does not work with Royal Griffin, I tested it in single player default settings. You're stuck with default rates of your server, and that takes around 48 days on official servers with base maturation speed. But you only need to worry about the first 5 days (or until juvenile) because once it's juvenile, it eats from a trough. So protect it somewhere safe inside the base, feed it meat and do it until it's a juvenile, tribes help a lot, with everyone taking turns to do this.

If in mobile Use major soothing or any balms if in pc or no amber in mobile I suggest crafting 256 narcos and feeding qith the narcos then use prime meat it should tame in 30 minutes if not use more narcos

This tip will work with all creatures, but I specifically tested it on these guys. I know Dododex says for Griffins you need a LOT of bio-toxin, but if you use my strategy and run off getting meat then come back and use five at a time, not waiting till it gets supremely close to waking up, you rarely need more than a quarter of what dododex suggests, on those rare occasions that it is more than a quarter, it’s not more than half. This is really helpful for creatures with speedy torpor drainage, like griffins, acheopteryx, spinos and others. But just in case this doesn’t work for you, I suggest taking a lot of bio-toxin, just in case.

Dont trust what the taming calculator says about the amount of kibble, a 145 only takes 1 super kibble with a 15x balm. Their taming calculator is kind of busted

So this is for breeding. You can breed griffins and their eggs take 5 hours to hatch. When the egg does hatch, keep the mother by it so it will eat food. The baby griffins take forever to grow up, so keep it in a protected area with walls surrounding it.

Soothing balm is broken.... I'm using x15 on a lvl 80 with raw prime meat and getting 1.5% each time it eats. And it takes 2mins to eat one piece. Wayyyy longer than the 10 mins dododex says it should take.

Good for griefing other people in pve

I've found a semi easy way of taming the Griffin with the need of breeding em ( for moblie) (u can do it in multi player aswell expect the sleeping part)

Requirements:- kibble processer, 1 10x balm, 6 stone dino gates, 2 doors for the gates, 1 foundation, 1bed, 4 element, 4 active Griffin implants, 32 any type of kibble.

-How to get active implants?

:- kill a Griffin an yonk it's implant for the dead body

-why so much kibble?

:- U can use any kind of kibble i suggest the cheapest u can make, as the conversation rate is 4 kibble per Griffin implant which will give u Griffin kibble

Now that's put out the way it's simple put the dodo kibble (just an example) in the kibble processer along with the 4 element and tap on the implant and tap process now u will get a pop up tap ok and voila u got Griffin kibble

Now go the mount Griffin (that's wt i call it) go to the beach and place down the trap and bed (u can skip the bed part if ur in multiplayer) find the high lv u want or which will respect ya trap it and wait for night now before u sleep u need to be sure the Griffin is flying so just shoot it once which will make it fly then sleep which will lower it's food making it faster to tame once it's morning knock it out AND USE THE BALM (I messed up the first time :( smh) after using the balm put the Griffin kibble and bam u got ur self a royal pain in the ass ( credits to the guy who found out if u sleep it lowers the food)

Im taming a royal griff right now, her names Ballisa and shes level 40! I used my best griff trap design to trap her. Its made out of stone, with 2 dino gates (with doors), walls 3-4 on both sides, the bottom is 6 by 4-4 by 3 stone floors, stone ceiling with a trapdoor in one corner. I hope this design helps you tame griffs in the future! -Enraged Enderman

Why cant these guys carry larger dinos since they are bigger argys. I havent tamed one yet but looking at a few animals I want to tame I see griffins cant carry it, but they are larger than a argy. Griffins should be able to carry the same dinos as argys and maybe a few more rather than smaller creatures.
