When knocking out a high level rock elemental, make sure the last shot is aimed from the side. When shooting straight into its head, the cannon ball goes through its head and deals extra damage to its body which will start the taming effectiveness 90% instead of 100% if it isn't done from the side on the last shot.

If the earth shakes and you see a moving rock. Don't try to tame it. Don't save your animals. Or your home. Just run.

Great for raiding with better than turtels for natural armor you can allso hide in its rock form with it while regenerating health try leaning forward into enemy structures or dinos to stop them from picking while sokeing you die leave I on neutral now just in case you get picked off better than letting defenders gang up on um -

Cannon takes less shots, but rpgs are less costly to make and keep you mobile, have someone get it stuck on big rocks while you bombard it's head from an elevated position... good luck

Get a paracer with a cannon on it and someone with a flyer to stall it while you shoot and have the flyer tell you the adjustments so you can hit your shots

Fined a natural bridges that's low to the ground and trap the rock elemental under the bridge then use cannon to knock it out

There are plenty of natural spots on the map to trap them even where they spawn. Try leading them between two big rocks to save on building something.

Trap the rock golem around metal pillars and get the Canon in front of its head and keep shooting it.

You can also use golems as a great base defense tame. Encumber them with stone and leave them on aggressive.

To knock a rock elemental try get it stuck in between ruins n a rocks also u can have a person grappling hook the bottom on of a cliff n keep aggro while u pump shots in it's face with a rocket or cannon

You can use a tek tapy saddle r a tek rex saddle 2 knock them out easy aim for the head tho.

You can use a tek rex/tappy to knock them out, just hit them in the head

Load up metal dino gates (roughly five), have a pararacer with the platform for a sturdy base for your cannon (the rockets no longer deal torpor), line up the gates with the paracer out of punching range, and finally have your buddy kite him to back of your paracer and be ready to take stone throws as you belt him from your cannon.(Be sure to unload three cannons after every stone) Once you get him dropped starve him out and load on your kibble. You'll be taming 150's before you know it!

The Rock Elemental is not only a devastating monster used to raid. If skilled on weight, damage or health it's incredible for farming stone etc.!

If you disguise then as a rock, they'll change their look after the map you're playing on. On SE it's an conspicuous yellow rock, but on The Island/ The Center they are a difficult to recognize, big grey rock.

You can set them to follow a smaller creature and hide the creature somewhere and it will have a larger agro distance and not be kited away from base

It never runs out of oxygen and cant be knocked as well as all animals leave him alone at sea so he is ideal for fighting underwater
