Contrary to the listings, the rock elemental does not actualy gather metal or flint(i have tried this on 3 servers and have tecived the same results)

Sometimes they will die when you use rockets and cannons SUCK at maneuvering. They also can't get metal and are basically large hatchets.

If you're looking to slay one of these beasties, here's a clever way. You and a tribemate go out on an argentavis, one of you is driving, the other is attached to it via grappling hook with a rocket launcher and a good amount of rockets. Tried this with one of my tribemates and we had a blast.

If your a lazy person like me use a catapult and make about three times as many boulders as you would need cannon balls. This works most the time

The only way you're killing this with your fists is with Tek armor. It still takes a long time to kill, and you'll still have a hard time killing higher levels.

Only aim for the head, otherwise you are wasting your time.

Place stone pillars down and exit its radius then it will just attack pillars, reverse in your paracer and boom fire away it won't Agro on you

Run and never look back

I've found the best way to tame one is to agro it to a hill or mountain. Put down a few metal pillars and some foundations above them. Put your canons on the foundations. Aim for the head and it should be pretty easy to dodge the rocks.

Put up pillars 2 high have 5 in a row made by a allied tribe then make a cannon on high ground then have a argy flying in between you and the pillars to Argo the golem and it won't throw rocks if your flying

I say the best way to knock out a rock elemental is to place down Dino gates around him . place two Dino next to each other have it run at you then place the Dino games behind so its trapped .

Gathers a lot of stone way better than the dodec and has way better weight

Use pillars to tame it and have a paracer with a cannon on the other side to shoot. To aim the cannon it is difficult to aim when manning the cannon so have some ride the paracer and you can have a more accurate shot.

On primative taming this is a lot harder but can be done! Use the ark calculator and add 10% the amount of boulders needed. Don't fire when he's throwing rocks as it won't register and don't space out your shots it's not needed! Use stone pillars to trap it and if it's a high level get someone to replace the pillars as you're fighting. Two catipults are preferred.

Since they are slow what you can do is build a large pen that's made of stone with stone behemoth gates (be sure you have enough room to run in and run around it to get out if alone) the walls don't have to be more than 2 high than i suggest you have a parcer with a platform saddle and cannons so you can dodge the boulders it throws this is a good effective way
