Me and my friend tried to tame x rock elemental. We took the elemental out of the volcano cave and knocked him out and he did not eat... We tried to feed him with everything dododex says he eat. I don't know if those are not tameable or if it was because he was outside the volcano cave. I've heard that many other have the same experience...

Tried to tame one with stone, ended up taming a Giga while waiting
Use the formula y=(5000+100x)/1800 to figure out how many cannonballs are necessary to knock the golem out. Y is cannonballs. X is level. I suggest bringing at least 2 extra cannonballs.
It's a bit silly that kibble tames it a lot better than rocks or sulfur because even in the dossier it says that it lives off of absorbing nearby rocks and minerals. So mabey they should make it so you have to feed them a rare mineral like obsidian what if they made it so you could tame one fast and with high effectiveness by giving one a few hundred or few thousand obsidian . or what if there kibble was made out of a combination of ores and minerals .
If you have a level 9999 and use stone and are on 0.01 times taming it takes 80 years....
They should make the boulder throw able to knock out other rock elementals.
If you are on fjordur, Don't try to tame with ptrerenodon they fixed that bug, now ptrerenodon can't rideable when you go to magmasaur cave, you have to use Desmodus latch on some distance so it will aggro on it and try to setup cannon for knock out.

Metal billboards!!! Use 5 (or more) billboards and trap the dang golem in one spot. Make sure you get one on each side AND through the golem.
You can set up a cannon defense wall a little ways away. 3x1 foundations across and the cannon is in the middle. Place a metal single door frame in front of the cannon and then solid walls on either side and one level higher. Good defense! Aim and shoot!

There is a great little natural passage that you can kite the golem in to at 64.1 - 49.9. We tame all our Golem there. They can't get out but once tamed can be moved out. It offers a great firing position for your cannon.
