What are tips for rhyniognatha? Tips and strategies for rhyniognatha in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
It’s basically just reaper but on your Dino instead
RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN RUN! THEN JUST GIVE UP AND DIE
I am building a house on the Island, and this massive creature has been very helpful towards building, you can build while riding and flying, like on an argy but you can move backwards/move around a lot easier, for me anyway, I do suggest trying them out for building, gives them a new use really-
In case you were wondering you do NOT have to feed it the requests. If your creature loses health don’t worry it is fine. (PS: Daeodon doesn’t work
High levels can be great for carrying Dino’s who run/attack back
The amount of HP And Weight cap is insane for picking up lots of useful Dino’s, it’s great as a carrier as well
Take a rex, for example. Rex are dangerous and you are broke on materials to make a trap but you have a high-level rhynio, use the rhynio (yes it can pick up rexes it’s cool) and pick it up, have your tribe mate go ahead and tranq it out while the rhynio goes ahead and tanks damage (with resin armor it takes 20-40 damage)
Rhynio can also stun/encase creatures with Amber with the sniper mode (RB + LT on xbox) or the grenade launcher mode, you will see a sort of bar on top of the creature and the more you hit it, the more icons get colored with an Amber color, once it turns full and red, the creature is now stuck and has basically to no movement speed, making tames like Gallimimus easy
The Taunt attack (Hold R3 or Right Thumbstick) will do the reduced version of the fear roar from the yuty, making an blue/teal aura around Dino’s
I learnt this from experience, and I will sea you layter

Host drag weight over 900 = Bronto, Giga, Carcha, Megachelon.
BUT baby inherits Stat POINTS, not stats, so a mega mutated Giga with zero points in all but Melee is a bad plan as you will likely inherit a bunch of low stats.
If you’re looking to max out your Rhynio, try and find a host with a good spread in HP, Stamina, and Melee with a bit of weight for good measure as resin ammo is heavy. I reckon you’re more likely to find a decent spread in a bronto than a Giga. My best so far actually came from a bred Yuty. Even though I lost a percentage of stat carry over due to the lower drag weight, the stat spread was way better and made up with a better baby in the end. Oh and make sure you have all the cravings ready because it breaks your heart to grind for two days and then get a golden egg craving on the second one. Take your hesperonis fishing. Every five fish it eats you get an egg. Every four eggs or so you get a golden one. Be ready to run to a refrigerator because they spoil crazy fast.
Best sacrifice of tame is bronto
While using a quetzal might seem like a good idea because the weight is high enough and it's a flyer so it doesn't have any unnecessary points in movement speed, I would advise against it. Because it's drag weight is under 650,the extra points which would have gone in movement speed, will be lost because of insufficient host size
just typed a whole command witch is annoying cause it didn’t work and it was all for nothing this is what I wrote: admincheat SpawnDino "Blueprint'/Game/PrimalEarth/Dinos/Rhyniognatha/Rhynio_Character_BP.Rhynio_Character_BP'" 500 0 0 60 but this didn’t work at all I need help finding the Rhynio can anyone tell me where it spawns and give coordinates?

For the people who can’t find the rhynio you can find it in the swamp area on the lost island map an the island be awear it is as rare as a giga and you need 2 one for the feromoon and one for impregnated just like a reaper only a female can impregnated your tame needs to be under 10% of its hp to impregnated your tame
It’s possible to get babies lvl 400+ if you use massively mutated dinos as the host. My 1113 lvl mutated carchs have generated bugs lvl 700+, passing the carch’s melee of 1377%, 50k health, to the baby when using lvl 150 parent rhyniognatha. It is random which parent gives up it’s stat but pretty consistently I get at least two/three stat lines out of five I’ve mutated on the carch on each bug. Use the biggest dinos to get the best stat transfer. Rexes work but the bug level will be lower even with all cravings satisfied. 150 bug parent on an over 250lvl Rex generates bugs lower than 200 on average.
Step 1: kill a male for a pheramone
Step 2: find a female
Step 3: use a harpoon net to put it onto the ground.
Step 4: drop its health below 10%
Step 5: pull out tame you want impregnated (remember to put on passive)
Step 6: once impregnanted pull away in the opposite of the rhynips flight path away (if you are wanting to repeat this)
Step 7: make sure to hit all cravings as this effects the % of the stats given as i have noticed in 20% increments (golden hespy egg will be the bain of your existance if you dont have some available)
Step 8: baby will kill tame and will continue on the normal impront process.
Tip: the stats run off the physical stats of the tame. If your tames mutated melee is at 254 and you get a full craving on a bronto, carchar, or giga thats what will transfer over if the stat is carried over from the host dino.
It is very important to get ALL cravings because if you don’t it’ll be a lvl 20 instead of 260 seriously the max level is decided based off of the sacrifice, Rhyniognatha, and the cravings a lvl 150 Rhyniognatha with a 230 tame can be about 200 with all cravings but only 56 with no cravings it is very important!
It seems using a highly mutated large creature like a Carchar as a host and hitting all the cravings for the Rhynio will birth you very much a sky giga
