Not hard at all, intimidating but not hard, they are stupid, just get up on a high rock and start shooting tranqs. I tamed a level 247 with under 100 tranqs in a crossbow and 190% Mele on my character at level 69, I used my newly tamed snow owl lvl 236 (oooh, wooowww) My crossbow broke and my nearest place to repair was 1/3 the map away, I rushed to a high teir loot drop, there was an APPRENTICE crossbow (wow) and I tranqued and now I'm boss boy :) I called him optimus prime cus he had the perfect matching coulours and was a tek rex

Use a stone trap since they can’t break stone for some reason

A level 10 takes 17 tranq arrows 👍🏻

1. Get 40 to 50 trank arrows and a lot of meat and black berries

2. Get somewhere high like a rock or a leg

3. Make sure they can’t get you and open fire with trank arrows

If it’s a low level (around 8-19) you can tame it in around 40 seconds depending on how high it’s torpidity is and what you feed, my cousin and I tamed a level 8 for me and it took 7 tranqs and 4 cooked prime meat and POOF we tamed it

Dont shoot the head since last upsate shooting the head won't knock it out shoot the body

If you want to tame this big guy without a Pteranodon just lure to you then go to a high cliff make sure it’s standing there then Shoot it with Tranq or Toxicant arrows there A KO’D Rex. The moral of this is DONT BE A BABY ACT LIKE A MAN not too manly or else you will get killed :/

The simplest way to knock this Dino down is bring it to 2 Brontos and while its distracted go to a high cliff and shoot the Rex with a crossbow. There now you have prime meat or a Tamed Rex

Just go to smugglers pass their are a lot of spaces to get rexes stuck

just to let you know tere is a glitch on ark when u jump off cliffs keep pressing circle (or which ever to get in your inventory) as fast as u can until u hit the ground use water to slow u down when glitching animals over good for when u have rexs and are to lazy to swim😉your welcome

Don't use an apprentice crossbow.... even with tranq arrows.... I lost a level 150 male because my crossbow was too strong

The easiest way to tame it is using the god console. First clear surroundings. Next, get 200-400 Toxicant Arrows. When it’s nocked out put 200-300 Bio Toxin in inventory. Finally, level It up as much as possible. Ip if this helped or don’t I don’t care honestly :^

If your looking to tame one of these I found a simple hack that allows you to get prime to tame it without going and killing things which takes a long time. Breed a baby dodo and kill it, when you do it will drop prime meat and that’s an easy way to get it.( hope this tip helped

Without doing the usual thing of telling a massive story, I'll only say this. I almost tamed a lvl 145 Rex, but I made some mistakes.

I only took as many narco arrows as I needed, when I should of brought 3 times as many, for the shots I missed, and the times when I had to run away and come back, giving it's torpor time to wear start going down.

I should of left at the crack of dawn, or sooner. I fought it for so long, I was still fighting it at midnight.

I should of brought a backup Crossbow, or 2. When my crossbow broke, I had to sprint back home to repair it, which cost me valuable time, torpor, and lead to my final mistake.

I should of kept a better track of where any nearby alphas or other Rex were. I almost lost it when it ran in the direction of an alpha Raptor and it's pack, but managed to kite it away, and later in the evening, either by luck or instinct, it fled to the safety of a nearby 150 alpha Rex.

I eventually had to give up after using 60 more arrows than I should of needed, needing to replace my crossbow, chasing it around till midnight, (at which point I was having to switch between the torch and crossbow to shoot blind) and chasing it towards an Alpha Rex.

Next time, I'm leaving before dawn, bringing 3 crossbows, 300+ narco arrows, and maybe killing the alpha Rex and alpha Raptor first (though honestly, I'm scared to try, and lose my best dinos. Why did there have to be a level 150 alpha Rex so close to my starting zone base?! And a level 145 Rex not too far away from it, teasing me with the chance to have an OP Rex so early into the game)

If you are begginer and want to tame t rex make some stone dinosaur gate and trap the t rex and take a sleep when you woke up shoot it with some tranq arrow or tranquliser dart after it knocked out put meat ot prime meat it will be like 5 min to tame it with this trick
