When your trying to tame a high level rex I reccomend having a quetz platform saddle and using that.

3x3 stone foundation with hole in middle if you want

2 high doorways all around (you can take out bottom layer if you have foundation support turned off)

3x3 or 3x4 ramp leading up to the pen attached to the doorways

He is a passive game very friendly don’t worry about what others say mine is named snuggles

You can roar well riding it. And it will smash rocks too.

Wonce you have them it will hiss like a snake

Just hit it with an ascendent club

Had a friend hold me above it so I hit it with about 15 tranq arrows. Easy

The way i solo tame a rex of any level is to have a flying mount and enough tranq darts or arrows for the Rex in question, Agro the Rex and land away from it so it walks towards you, jump off your mount and shoot it in the head as it does this, fly over its head or around it and repeat, be fast!

Build a trap house with Dino gate and a reg door way at other end run straight through and around the side to close gate ehind it. Have window walls or a tall ledge you can shoot from and put it down. The trap house will also help tp protect it during taming from other creatures attacking it and ruining your efficiency.

Kite back to ur own base to tame =higher success rate for taming

Make sure u have all the items you need to knock it out and get picked up by another player and shoot from above ! Otherwise you will get eaten .

in ascended it’s really easy to get baby’s! that’s how i have like half of my dino’s i have a rex and like 5 alloys and like 20 dire wolves!

Well Lord Fred saw the views so it’s time to tame a REX. (Latin for King)

1) GO FOR A SINGLE ONE!!! It’s better to find one on a mountain 🏔️ or on the carnivore island 🏝️.

2) if u get lucky, u can find a normal or a tek. (It’s easier to find a tek one but it’s in the space biome in the genesis pt 1 dlc.)

3) u need to tranq it. U can starve it to tame faster or u also could just wing it!

4) and 123…..bang 💥 u tamed a Rex!

How to Tame a Rex when your low lv

Step one: get a slingshot and a bunch of narcotics and like alot of meat

Step two: get a parasaur to hold alot of rocks and slingshots

Step three: get maybe 200-500 rocks and like 5-7 slingshot

Step four: get on a very high rock high enough he can't reach you and start shooting

Step five: when Rex it's knocked out give it meat and narcotics.

Step six: Enjoy!

To capture the Rex you should build a raft with two high door frames surrounding it. Then you can kinda noclip the Rex into the raft then bring it to a safe area. Once you have it safe exit the raft and run through the door frames. Then the Rex is easy to knock out with tranqs and tame.

Ps I did this on mobile so it might not work on other versions.

Hunt Dino a first to get some meat and always have anther tame like a few raptors just in case the Rex try’s to kill you
