Build 4 small Dino gates out of stone and set them in a rectangular shape with cracks big enough to shoot tranqs through. This is the most efficient way to tame a rex and safest.

You have tamed the legendary trex it's the strongest of the dinos

Build a trap raft with a sloped stone ceiling leading to a cage, with dinosaur reinforced gate. You can tame most of dinosaurs this way, except for giga, bronto and paracer alike.

Unless you have a death wish use cheat forcetame.

I have a lvl 270 Rex with 40k health from trading with the alphas on the server. Try to trade resources with alpha tribes because normally they are to lazy to go out and get stuff so they just trade dominos for it :)

How to tame a Rex: Step 1. Get 10 tranquilizer darts- Step 2. Bring a couple dinosaurs if you want security but make sure they aren’t near the Rex unless you want him 💀. Step 3. Shoot the Rex from a good distance for a head start then when he notices run like hell. Step 4. Knock him out and bring 20 narcotics to keep him drugged I mean asleep. Step 5. Feed him prime meat, if he is a low level it should take like 8 prime meats. Step 6. Wait 10 minutes and it should work. I did this and now I have 5 of them 🫠

Here's a strategy used when you find one make sure there other dinos it could kill easily then it will focus on killing everything and you sit there shooting it it helps take from me

This isn’t really helpful BUT Valguero has Rexes that come in larger pack than normal (up to SIX!) so be careful. I’m going after some lvl 37-40 females and a male

(Mobil) I am playing on hard and I happen to stumble across a level 290 so I go back to my base to pick up a trap and later I use 7 stone gate ways and two large bear traps and it worked like a charm!

Here’s something cool on mobile. Once you get a Rex to run from you, you can go back to it later and it it sees you it will run again. How to tame one my way: get tranq arrows and just shoot it down. Or just use tranq darts. Shoot it, run, shoot run, FUN AF it like playing tag. REX DONT SWIM THEY SINK

Honestly just use an equus and knock it out with the back kick just dont kill it

Find one and lead to to a cliff where you can stand on top and safely shoot it. This is my method for all carnivores

Build a stone foundation with 3 normal stone walls and a door frame so you can enter after that build 4 stone door frames one level higher on your stone walls and place a roof on top the rex wont be able to hit you when inside and you can easily tame

All you need to tank a few hits from it you need chitin gear which is the third gear in the game

For killing use a shotgun

For taming use a crossbow
