Don’t bother making a trap, run on foot and tranq away or get on a fast creature that allows rider weaponary (baryonyx, thyla, etc) traps are only good to make sure it doesnt drown if near water

3x3 foundation, normal gates on each side except for one side, lure the Rex in, get it aggro against an Argie but don’t let it hit the Argie, then place last gate behind and done! Hope this helps.

Ok I will say this I did die one time but I did not die the 2nd time:) I tamed one with a boomerang that’s all you need 🧐and I thought Rex’s were strong

If you are on mobile trap it sleep in sleeping bag then tranq it fast so it is hungry

The safest way to find and tame a rex is to go to the winte- south zone 2 "alley" with the river that intersects into a swamp and another river that eventually goes to green ob

If you are playing casually and you pass through this area a lot one should spawn because it isn't rare for them to spawn here.

If you find a rex and it sees you it will start to prioritize you for a moment but if you have enough tranqs and movement speed you can run far enough away from it so that it will attack something else instead, then you can tranq while it is attacking the other creature.

If you don't you can just use a pternadon or anything thats faster than a trex then just dismount to tranq.

After you knocked it out you can get prime meat from stegos, diplos, or carnos that spawn in this area.

Lure it in with hopes of food then wake it on the head with a club it will submit to you forever

May I just say if you are on a cliff and see a red shoot it with frank arrows in the head. I’m only level 30 and can’t believe that I have a rex. This red is a beast, he kills like a monster. I would just watch out for Therizinosaur.

Always use shocking tranqs cause they maybe do a 1000 torpor if u are high enough level up so everyone doesn’t have make a crap ton ordinary tranqs.

If you are in early to mid game and you want a Rex try to find a decent level one with a baby then kill it. It won’t be as good but it helps a lot.

Como domar um rex fácil (eu acho que é fácil): primeiro, prepare as comidas (recomendo kibble, mas pode usar mutton ou prime meat), então monte uma trap, a que eu usei foi uma de 4 stone dino gateway e 1 large bear trap, primeiro coloque 3 gateways em formato de U com a large bear trap no meio, então chame o rex para a armadilha, precisa ser a parte aberta, quando ele for preso na armadilha, coloque o ultimo gateway por onde o rex entrou, depois desmaie ele sem ficar muito perto, quando ele desmaiar, coloque a comida no inventário dele e não deixe ele acordar

Wile taking a Rex just use a trap it’s the most effective.

The Rex bite force is very high

1 bring more tranq arrows meat and soothing balm if u cant afford main taming food for this beast

2 Find high terrain that he cant reach you

3 Use recommend using crossbow if u cant afford use Bow if you want to challenge yourself try slingshot with hundreds of rocks

4 if this beast run to you just dont chase be good at aiming until u take em down this is why other players and i recommend using crossbow if you on mid level

5 If you take rex down Read 1st step

be patience until you tamed it

6 goodluck hunting with your new beast

What resources would i need to tame a level 2 rex

Why do people need taming pens? Just get on a cliff and shoot it with tranq arrows

Do basically you can tame it within 20 second just make a trap and trap it after that don't shoot him after traping rex just place bed and sleep after you sleep then shoot him with tranq arrow and when it unconscious you will See it's food is 0 now put couple of meat in it's inventry it will tame within 20-25 sec as per level of rex. I tame 10 level rex in 7 sec
