Why are you all using traps I tame them all the time, I never have a problem, hit-and-run or High Ground baby!

Tamed a max level tek Rex with tranq arrows and a griffin

So just get a griffin lol

How to tame in PvE:

1. Randomly come across a stego stuck in someone elses trap (AI must have wandered it in becoz owner of trap was offline)

2. Watch as moron Rex aggros onto trapped stego and falls into trap itself.

3. Be lucky enough to have tranq darts, narcotics, an empty cryopod on hand and an Ovis grazing nearby.

4. Knockout moron Rex.

5. Murder peaceful Ovis.

6. Stuff moron Rex full of the good stuff.

7. Wait for tame.

8. Cryo that beast and yeet yourself out of there before owner of trap returns to complain about how you owe him a free Rex.

How to tame.

Step 1-make a line of 16 to 20 giant bear traps where you want to tame your Rex.

Step 2-Agro a Rex and get it to step on the first bear trap.

Step 3-shoot with tranqs until knocked out(I suggest a longneck rifle and a lot of tranq darts).

Step 4 -put 20-30 prime meat into its inventory.

Step 5-enjoy your new Rex.

So i found i high level rex near a cliff i want a rex! But i want an allosaur more but all the high levels keep getting killed but when i keep hitting the rex it keeps ignoring me! I have an ascendant crossbow with tranqs prime meat an argentavis and a soothing balm and the rex went into the swamp and got killed by a paracer…… WHY DOES THE OVERSEER/GULA BEETLE HATE ME??!?!?! AAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH

Please dont tame a level 10.

Hit it with your fist I almost did it then he used he teliport ability and sent me to like a different demesion so then I pushed all my buttons on my controller and it sent me like in this winter place 😱.omg

The Tek Rex uses the same kibble as the regular one does.

Kinda confused, so I was going to try and tame a lvl three Rex on scorched earth and I was like I should probably bring like a lot of tranq arrows. I hit the Rex three or four time and it was down btw I used crossbow

4 Dino gateways, one beartrap, and lead it in using ptero. Quick and easy tame.

To tame a rex make either a 3x3 or a 5x5(5x5 has more room to trap it) then 4 doorways high all the way around it. Next just build ramps that go to the top of the trap. Now all you need to do is have it follow you up the ramp and fall in as you jump out the doorway. :)

Just use bio toxin to keep it knocked out. It’s very easy to obtain and you need way less then narcotic

On single player, if you can't find a good cliff to shoot the a Rex with Tranqs, use a good mount with lots of health that you can shoot off of that can easily avoid it. Usually how I knock out Rex's by myself.

So you can go onto a rock the red can't get onto then you place some gate frames around it then you want to add gates and start tranquil it with a recommended crossbow

PREPARING: tranq arrows and a tek bow.

Flak armour and a pump shotgun.

Superior kibble and raw prime meat.

LVL270 and pack.

bruh u guys make thing complicated just get a tapejara get on it's back and shoot that mf in its head when it tries to flee get back on the rider seat and chase it until its unconscious its so simple trust me I tame every Dino with this strategy.

Step 1: make 4 (or more) stone gates and a large bear trap

Step 2: put 3 gates down in a box like formation then bear trap in the middle like this |_| (| means gate)

Step 3: get the Rex on the bear trap and place the last gate behind the Rex trapping it

Step 4: using tranq arrows, toxicant arrows, tranq darts, shocking tranq darts, or creatures that deal a lot of torpor knock it out

Step 4: just go kill a prime dinosaur for prime meat then put the prime and regular meat in the Rex’s inventory

Step 5: once it tames have fun with your new Rex like I did!
