If you are on an animal it's way easy to tame these guys. I'd also recommend having the kibble and having a creature of any kind with high health. You can knock these guys out on foot too, but it's a lot harder and you risk other animals killing you/the rex. I'd also recommend not going after any mate boosted rex, since the torpor you do is directly related to the damage you do.

For me, I just stood on a higher land than Rex, but not like the stupid people and just a high cliff. I stood atop my battlements( for those who don’t know, are massive walls higher than any creature and have an extremely large amount of resistance.) and shot at it a few times and had it done. It could easily be a high structure instead, but a strong and less necessary one, but none of this cliff stuff or high rocks. You do that, might as well go at it and try punching it to death.

Here’s the best tip of all; go ghost, summondino rex, force tame and bam, good job you just tamed a Rex

Dont use traps it waste time so just bring a diplo with u around 20,000 health and just let the rex nibble on ur diplo while u start shooting it with tranq arrows.

You are faster than the red if you upgraded movement speed so just run a dead of it tranq it turn around and run again while you reload

In mobile the torpor drop is slow as hell and it only takes about 5 raw meat to tame. Might be a bug or not. This makes taming it as easy as taming a dilo

I have a Rex I’ve named Caaarrrrl, best tip knock them out and tame them , get your longneck rifle, shoot him till he’s bleeding, then use tranq arrows to shoot him till he knocked out, be careful when shooting him don’t shoot him to bad cause when the arrow hits it’ll still do damage.
