They are tanky and have high damage but they are slow so fleeing it the best option as long as it isn't a alpha t rex

I‘m level 35 and I tried to tame it for the first time. The Rex was lvl. 11. Unlucky it was near the ocean so he ran into it and disappeared. He was nearly knockouted. I think he died in the ocean. So guys be careful if you’re near water !!

in the night i decided to go harvesting with my moschops it was all calm until i heard stomping coming straight towards me i ran and the light of my torch showed a rex coming out of the darkness me and my moschops ran for our lives thankfully my moschops was perfectly faster then the rex

So if you wish to tame a low level rex on the island you need a health boosted trike. Then you need about like, 20-35 tranq arrows because they have a massive torpidity pool, so then just shoot it's head until it is down, then you need bio toxin or narcrotic (bc the sleep berries won't do much) then shove da prime meat down it's throat until it urs, then give yourself a pat on the back

If you want to get a couple easy Rex, go to RG island. I found three normal, and 1 tek

Idiots idiots idiots you don’t need a trap just need a high-ish rock or something like that and a bow, crossbow, or some other thing that can shoot tranq stuff knock the Rex out feed regular meet or if you have any of the other stuff feed it that you don’t need as much narcotics and Dododex says btw you only need to feed narcotics once the consciousness is really low so you use less for my level 2 (which I had first thought was 26 bc it looked like the 26 had been in the place the 26 was and I had come for the 26) I only used 1 narcotic and I didn’t even really need to use it it just made me feel better and less nervous when I used it.

Resource intensive but easy and flexible trap to tame any (and many) rex:

1) Get a wooden raft

2) Place stone foundations 3 by 3 to make your raft indestructible by rexes (look up dropped raft foundation on utube to get the 3x3, it takes 10 seconds). You can also use a hatch frame over the rudder to still drive.

3) Fill in all sides with empty stone doorframes 2 high

4) Add wood ramps up the front of the boat so the rex can walk over to get in

5) Park the boat anywhere near rexes, lure your favorite into the trap and tranq through the open walls from safety, the rex can’t get out

Now you have an easy and mobile rex trap that works for plenty of other dinos too :) I’m not sure if you can drive around with the rex while it’s unconscious, but you can always build a couple spike walls to keep other dinos away. Enjoy my favorite trap in Ark and have fun with free rexes!

Use a fast flyer ( wywren,snow owl,Griffin......) Then go in large circles while every bit stoping, shooting and realising till he's out. Then kill a stego or two to get enough RAW prime

All you need to do is get on a cliff or a high speed place and then you can just shoot it cause a Rex can’t do anything when u r high up it’s not that hard

I would usually build a trap using behemoth gates and than tranq it out with tranquilizer darts or shocking darts

I tamed a 145 male rex and after leveling it up for a week its health was 9k and melee was 967+%(i put like 3 or 2 levels into health only so the melee is very high) REXES ARE GOOD

Pretty simple tame just use your ordinary stone pitfall trap. You’ll need about 75 tranqs for a 150. They don’t take headshots so don’t bother with them. You’ll need rex’s For the boss fights on the island especially.

If you see one of these get a lot of meat get at least a bow guess about what level it would be based on what level most animals are get as many tranq arrows as you can actually you probably won’t need very much unless it’s a really high lvl get narcotics to keep it asleep and go tame it don’t kill it unless you already have a Rex!!

If your a low level like me and want to breed them, use normal walls. They are high enough to contain them (4 walls high to be precise) so all you need to do is get the resources. Won’t even have to waste your engrams points on the behemoth gates and what not

Do not agrow it on the ground feels were it can get you get in a small place where it will still be argue and can’t reach

I even saw a T. rex that someone tamed who knows how to tame a rex

Always tame your rexes on the outer parts of Carno Island. Lure one without attracting anything else, then bear trap it, I sent a buttload of tranqs into its face. It can’t run because it’s in the bear trap. (MOBILE) (THE ISLAND MAP)

I find that 3 rexs spawn on Dead island. But do not underestimate them. They will kill you and your bird if you let your guard down. But overall this is a great spawn place!
