Why do big carnivores attack almost every thing they see? i found another high level rex i lead it to a cliff with my spino i put the spino on the cliff but the rex attacked carnos and the carnos killed it… just why? do big carnivores hate everything? irl they aint evil or have anger issues they just kill for food but in ark they attack anything even when theyre not hungry i hope wildcard adds a hunger feature for creatures so carnivores dont have anger issues in ark 2

Here is how I did my one.

1. Go to Carno island.

2. Locate your Rex.

3. Use a raptor to make it Afro on you and run to the small cliff on Carno island.

4. Make sure you are at the top of the cliff and your Rex is at the bottom and shoot at the Rex

5. If the Rex somehow manages to get up the cliff. Just get on a raptor and run of the cliff(don’t worry, it’s not high enough to take too much damage). Run around the cliff fast enough so that when you get to the top the Rex is still at the bottom.

6. Repeat until knocked out.

P.S. there are better ways to do this like using a trap but this is how I did mine so this is kind of a cheap way of doing it.

How to tame a rex:

1. First, you need to bring 4 stone dinosaur gates. And a large bear trap.

2. Place 3 of the gates (in this shape \_/) and the large bear trap inside them.

3. After you've found a rex, lure it and get it stuck in the trap.

4. After the rex is stuck in the trap, quickly place the fourth gate to prevent the rex from escaping.

5. Now knock the rex out with a tranquilizing ammo like tranq arrows or certain darts.

6. After the rex is knocked out, feed it meat or preferred kibbles.

You can also do the exact same thing to tame giganotosaurus, but with metal gates.

FOR AN EASY TRAP:

1.build 3 stone foundations, 9-12 stone walls, 6-9 wooden ramps and 5 stone dinosaur gateways

2- place gateways in a rectangle formation(with one ‘end’ missing as you only have 5 gateways)- the below pattern represents the formation required

3.place the foundations on the missing side to complete the rectangle

4. Place walls(3 high) on all foundations

5.starting at the top place ramps leading to the ground the tops of all walls

Congratulations, your Rex trap is complete now all is left is to find that juicy high level and bait him up the ramp where he will be trapped.

I think the developers should buff the „roar“. Because imo there is nothing special about it right now...the roar should cost 30% of stamina but the rex gains then 25% damage per hit and this should last for 15 seconds.

For me, traps are never necessary unless it’s for an Argy, even then, I’ve managed to tame one of those just by using the environment as a weapon, untill it trapped itself without me wasting any resources,

Anyway, I got a 140 level Rex from Carno island tamed by riding my Direwolf and running circles around it, tranqing it without it hitting me except once or twice , easy tame without any traps!.

Baby Rexes can be picked up by an Argentavis or larger flyer.

It’s amazing how something that can get a Tek Saddle, can’t even break through stone, but an oversized turkey with knives for fingers CAN(I’m talking about the Therizinosourus)

How to tame any knockout creature in ark

First trap the creature then place a bed or sleeping bag sleep and wake up start to tranq the dino then put the food in its inventory it’s ok if you don’t have kibble use prime meat if it’s a carnivore use mejoberries if it’s a herbivore and look at the taming going to 100% under 5 minutes

Just place dino frames like this \_/. Make sure it Is In a plain surface AND when u get the rex into the trap just put the fourth frame behind And shoots it tranqs. Really easy

A good tip is if you dont have enough resources to build a trap from any material get on a high enough ledge so it can’t bite i tamed a 75+ with no trap with an two darts and 40 arrows

THIS IS HOW YOU EASILY BEAT AN APLHA TREX,

Lure alpha trex into the middle of the ocean by carrying a herbivore app in the talons of an Argentavis (I used a Parasaurolophus) then use an aquatic mount like Beelzebufo or megalodon to bite the alpha Rex to death, with the water mounts increased speed underwater it can easily evade trex attacks

It takes about 77 slingshot hits to knock out a lvl 1

All around good game, I use them for gathering hide and meat but have spares for an exceptional kibble farm, great for boss fights

Dude run rexes are perfectly slow

Carea more about big prey than you, so try to run past anything bigger and meatier than you, then keep running. It won't take long to kill whatever it finds. That being said, I did see a Rex take a long while to kill 2 carbonenemy turtles

this is how to tame an rex

a)safe option

what u need:at least 50 tranq arrows (changes by level(make sure u give him one shot per 5 sec.)lot of meat and narcotics)

1)find cliff

2)MAKE SURE rex cant attack u

3)made him sleep and feed him

4)PROTECT HIM FROM OTHER DINOSAURS!

5)well done u tamed rex ; )

what u need:longneck rifle +tranq darts,meat,narcotics,

pike and shotgun for protection

1)find rex and check if there are no agrsive dinos (if yes kill them they can kill rex &u)

2)start shooting into rex (with tranq darts)and running away from him but make sure he’s following you

3)knock him out and feed him

4)protect him

wooow u tamed rex

In my 4yrs of ark experience I use eqqus to tame these. You can pump health and some melee but not too much or you can possibly kill the rex. You can just follow them around and kick them to sleep. Super easy.

I swear guys I pinky promise swear that I saw a rex get killed by dimorphodons! they flew just above its head and hit it while managing to always dodge its bites. These were wild, not mine or somebody else’s ( I was in single player on xbox) there was only two dimo’s. it was nuts. And let’s just say I had meat for ages.
