If you have a Sino or a tek suit u can just hover above it and shoot down and it will just stand still until they run from torpor

On extinction they can get stuck on mountains for an easy tame

1. Find a rex

2. find two Rocks that are near to each other

3. shoot it and tame it

The Rex good at:

-Tank

-Prime meat Collector

-causing other low level dino to poop when roar (only heard, not seen it with my very eye yet)

-wipeing dino life

But Rex bad at:

-Small attack radius which mean other creature can hit it from the side or back without you hitting them

-have hard time trying to turn around

-Can swim but lose oxygen while doing it

That all i know for know

Because rexes are slow, you can keep up with it and knock it out when it fleeing so they are easy to tame

Easiest way to find them is in snow biome on the island map, i found alot of them there

Build a tower of metal

Then shoot 100 tranq at’em

Run and keep shooting

When he’s down shove meat down his throat and give narcotics

Tip: How to escape Rex

Run while it roads as it aggro’s you

If on multiplayer, you can use an argentavis (because of the stamina) in order to pursue one while taming. Have a guy get picked up and fly that guy right over the Rex.

I recommend the person shooting to go in third person to aim. It’s pretty hard to see otherwise.

You won’t even need bear traps!

(I’m quite sure this works for pretty much anything, but at the point where you’re taming a rex, you should probably already have an argy on you.)

Just be careful when chasing it when it’s low on torpor. Try to get it stuck—it may be a little faster than you.

I tamed my high level rex(435) in the Arctic i was trying to find a high level direwolf then i saw it, so i tried to knock it out although i'm only lvl 36 i'm pretty confident cuz i have good ascendant bow and they're easy to get stuck lol, i'm pretty happy actually cuz i have an ascendant rex saddle from the january promo. I'll use my rex to kill the alpha rex that spawned near my base when i'm level 13+ i think, i can use an otter too and do spyglass glitch but i tried it many times but my otter always die cuz of stomp damage (i reverted my save)

I also found a level 435 spino near green obelisk i'll try to tame it next, i'll prolly tank it with my rex since the nearest high cliff was a bit far from where it spawned

Just sit on the back of a tanky dino that you can shoot from, stego or anky work great for me

u need 28-36 tranquilizer arrows and a lote of prime meat(Rex)

Easiest way to tame without trap: use a griffin and shoot it with tranq arrows while in the air.

In mobile for some reason Tek saddles don’t work at all, they are just better armour

Me and my brother found its practally tamable at any level with ease if you use a raft and Tranq arrows to make it swim while you shoot it, when it runs make sure it's on land while you follow it on foot chase it down and walla shove some raw meat into its mouth and rex! Worked every time for us much easier on multiplayer while one person drives on shoots, but still works with singleplayer

They are actually really good for taming other dinos. Their immense bulk lets them tank damage as you fire away at the desired target from its saddle, plus they can easily kill Brontos, Paracers and Diplodocus nearby if you need Prime Meat to tame a carnivore.

I breed Rexes there sweet tames I high recommend butt spinos are much better in damage and stam just saying

For tame a t rex, go with a ptéranodon or a argentavis for shoot with a gun and fly and shoot and fly...

For everyone who wants to survive and thrive in the carnivore or Red woods forest, you should absolutely tame a Rex. The best creature you can have for land based raids is a rex. I tamed one who was very low level and killed three alfa allausours and their minus with 880 health lol. I level up 10 times and I then immediately went hunt down some dangerous dinos and conquer all thr swamp area. It was a glorious day of grind. All worth it.

Place a stone foundation near Rex spawns. Then place 3 walls a door frame and a door on it. Next put 4 door frames on top of that do it should be two walls high. Then place a ceiling. Now get inside of it and shoot the Rex through the door frames on top. It won't be able to hit you. You can also tame gigas if the building is metal.
