Taming a rex won't be easy because they can be high level and also because they are strong and they come in 2 sometimes. Mainly you'll need a dino to ride and shoot on it's back. And you'll need meat, I mainly do raw meat because it's faster so is mutton raw or cooked.

I saw 2 of these at the snow . I just saw it did and harvested it and decided to go into the forest and boom another red was in front of me

Build a mini house and anger it and trap it in the house and then tame it it worked for me

How to tame: first get a cross bow lvl 25 and 250 or more tranq arrows lvl 21 or darts lvl 62 up to you second find a Rex and shoot from a distance there not fast but they have decent reach keep shooting until its knocked out put in your taming food in and bam💥 Rex tame😎😎 sorry if spelling is incorrect because I’m still Asian😂😂😂

I’ve never tamed a single Carno in my life… but I have 2 Brontos, 2 Spinos, And 2 Rexes. I’m literally not joking at all. Oh ya I also have 5 Sarco with saddles. I’m lvl 35. So, yes.. maybe I went too far too soon, but hey, I can kill a giga 🤷🏻

Easy tame; just make a pitfall trap with 2 wall high walls and 4 foundations. Get it to follow you through some ramps to the pit and get it stuck. Just make sure the Rex is actually stuck (they can sometimes glitch through the walls). Once you see a little drop of the Rex, he should be for sure stuck and you can tame safely. Make the pit out of stone though so you have yourself a durable taming pen that you can rely on to get multiple of these guys.

If your wanting to take out one of these guys out I highly recommend an argy with at least 3000 health and 400 melee (and of course stamina) Just make sure you don't get hit too many times and you'll be absolutely fine. I find that they won't do the roar if you already attack without them seeing/fighting something else.

4 stone foundations fill the sides with stone doorframe to frames high four ramps and now get that Rex here and then TAME 60 tranq arrows on a starter bow or mobile first bow. Need at least two bows. Then go hunting with your Rex and you two will be best friends.
