You don’t need like a rifle to kill these. I just put a wooden spike infront of the Rex and it was dead. Spikes are like percentages of the max health. So the bigger the more damage. And the Rex is pretty big

Encountered a alpha Rex lvl 135 on my pterodactyl. Wish me good luck(btw the Rex damage is low with the mastercraft saddle on).

Everyone is saying “Get on a cliff and tranq it” EASY. I found TONS on this mountain but there’s argies and scorpions EVERYWHERE. I personally love the cliff trick but it’s not workin for me. I’m gonna search somewhere else to find one. Also, the traps. I’m not using up all my stuff to knock it out! I tried using gates but they were too small. :( I’m about to go search for one. Wish me luck

To the guy who said find these at top left island, it’s top right. Carno island, also known as carnivore or monster island.

It may not say is but if a Rex eats any thing he gets tons of health. I think the bigger the kill the more health. Hope this helps

One time when I was playing on Valguero I had a wood house on the beach and a Rex fell from a cliff and slaughtered all my tames. This also happened to me on Ark Mobile.

Do not try to kill a rex having a heart before his name if you hit him 1 or more t-rex come to kill you

You can find them lingering around the hidden lake

If you run into one you want a wee dent rifle

Base speed can outrun a Rex, if you encounter early don’t panic, just run.

I’ve found that they normally spawn in pairs. On a quest to obtain a breeding pair, I only found a pair of females near the green obelisk, and a pair of males near North Zone 3. Not sure if they always spawn like this, but don’t accidentally tame both thinking they are each a separate gender.
