Find one near a tall cliff and shoot tranq arrows or darts from above, it wont be able to get up the cliff to attack

Utilise a quetz to shoot from the top of. Position it in the direction you want to pr3vent the rex from running such as water. Opti ally postion yourself opposite a cliff so the rex will get stuck when it rjns.

Aggro get on the cliff and tranquility Walla u got it

Pro tip for taming: don't die and don't use your fists

On primitive they like the poultry better than raw meat if u have no Dino to get u prime kill some birds

Attack it with a patchy

step one:get a guy to get rex attention

step two: have second player shoot tranquil arrows w/ crossbow at rex

step three: try to move rex to an open area so easier to know what's around

step four: be the boss u know u are and unload them arrows

step five: once down. put all mean and narcotics in. and go find prime meat (fish or general meat)

step six:.......wait and be patient

Build a 3x3x3 structure on a boat with ramps leading up and the only way out are dino gates lead the rex in, tranq out, carry home to safely tame.

Build a pen with gates and 1 wall with a door frame lead it in shut door behind it walk out door climb to top shoot it

The rex "box" is much smaller it seems and mostly consist of its feet and lower body so they will fit through small dino gates...my rex raft has about 9 foundations sinked into raft in the shape of H with 3 pillars holding a 5x5 platfom,2 gates and 2 high doors the rest of the way around the outside...with the last 4 i have 2 platforms off the back for shooting smaller game, a bed and a fireplace for the north...it may have been fixed but rex use to just chomp boxes through walls so i dont use boxes...i use a frog or raptor to lure in because they are quick and can jump or fit between 2 stone doors stacked

If you capture some dinos knock them out and let them get back up it will starve out without narcotics , you just have to knock it out again when the starve timer is close to empty and put food on , note that the Dino must be trapped and not feeding when awake 😀

Build a taming boat with two high walls and ramps then drive around untill you find a rex stick em in there drive to a better location nock it out n tame it (perfect englisch from germany (: )

If you're alone and don't have a quetz you should keep in mind that rexes get really easily stuck. Just get him/her to a nearby rock which is high enough and it usually works out, but make sure you keep a flyer close to you in case you need to reposition. if this doesn't work then you can try standing on a cliff and shooting down on him.

Have 150%+ movement speed (the higher the better) and just tranq it will a crossbow and tranq arrows. Run away when it comes close to you and hit it again untill it's down. You shouldn't get hit. This can also apply to taming any creature. If you don't have enough movement speed to outrun it then use a mind-wipe Rockwell. Simples =)

Once you have the Rex knocked out you are better to just start the timer and leave it because nothing aggros to a Rex so nothing will attack it other than other players. I usually knock it out and go back to base make the kibble etc or do whatever you need to do for two hours then go back narcotic it up and repeat until the starve timer is ready and it is ready to feed (: same goes for a giga! Enjoy!

For solo tame, make a trap boat that is two walls high and a second boat with a tower. Lure it in on foot if you have beds on the tower raft. Lure by bird is easier. Knock it out, move it away from shore and safely tame.

Bring extra and be prepared tbh I just tamed a 150 Rex and even though it says on thing on here it's recommended but I spent more than 4 hours starving time for this Rex always be propared and efficient
