Make sure to bring 2 crossbows if its over level 150. I tamed a level 130 with a max durability crossbow and it only had 5% durability left by the end

If you want to tame a Rex you have come to the right person

Prepare:

•Stack of 50 knockout ammo (tranq darts or tranq arrows)

•Weapon (crossbow, bow, rifle)PS: make sure your weapon is at full durability!

•Taming food (I recommend the pulminoscorpus kibble but any meat will do)

•A LOT of Bio toxin or narcotics(I don’t recommend narcoberries)

•I recommend to bring a strong saddled tame that is tall enough so raptors can’t get you ( they are a challenge without a mount)

Knockout:

There are two methods of knockout

Method 1: TRAP

First grab 9 to 16 large bear traps and arrange them as shown:

@@@ or @@@@

@@@. @@@@

And grab a flying mount (I recommend pteranodon or tapejera)and get the Rex to agro on you and follow you and run him into the bear traps and fire away. Feed him the food and voila you have a Rex

Method 2: THE CHEAP AND EASY

This is a much easier method than method 1 but it can be dangerous

So find a cliff that is tall enough so the Rex can’t reach you and fire away(be careful because if you fall off the cliff you can kiss your entire ark legacy goodbye)

And either way works but they require different skill sets. And make sure you feed the Rex the bio toxin constantly and you have yourself the ultimate boss fighter!

If you tame a tek rex, work up to putting a tek saddle on it. It will be the coolest looking tame you will ever have!

Tip: If you play with friends like me, get a flying bird of some type that can carry things and have your friend fly the bird pick you up and shoot your new huge Dino with tranq arrows/darts!

The way I tamed my Rex is I k.o-d it and put wooden spike walls around so pluminos and theriz couldn’t get me

You don’t need a trap to tame these, there are less costly taming methods.

1-This only works for low levels but if you line up a bunch of large best traps and bait a Rex into it it is a pretty easy tame.

2-If you use a creature you can shoot off of you can just follow the Rex around shooting it until it is knocked out.

3-If you get on to a hill or big rock that the Rex cannot get on to you can just shoot it from there until torpor run then chase it with a relatively fast creature to finish knocking it out.

I have never used a trap but from what I have seen and experienced using a trap is much easier than any of the methods listed above.👍

Just knocked out a level 145 Rex with 29 train darts !

Knocked down a lvl 150 Rex, she got very high HP, what's a lucky day. Had to make sure that none hurts my precious HP breed Rex... just 20s before she fully tamed, a Raptor chased a Phiomia and took 2 bites on my precious Rex as the pig got stuck on it tail... My precious Rex is not perfect anymore, that Raptor took 8% taming effectiveness from her...

So i named her "Bullied by Rappy"

How to easily tame a rex:

1. Get a sarco (easy tame) and crossbow with tranq arrows

2. Find a preffered level rex

3. Lure it into a river

4. Keep swimming up and down the river with the sarco. The rex is a slow swimmer.

5.tranq it out

6. Get prime meat and feed. dont worry about kibble, as prime meat is easier.

7. You will not need narcotics (at least i didnt need them)

8. Enjoy your powerhouse of rex! ;)
