You can tranq these easy enough using a Griffin. Either go up then come down at a steep angle and shoot them or fly about turning and shooting. The hardest part isn't finding them or tranqing them or even protecting them once they are down, it's getting them by themselves or stopping them killing themselves by attacking every single dino they see.

Barely live to tell another tale... here is a tip for mid level people... if you have a assault rifle with good ammo and a backup like a advance pistol find a rex that is alone. No allosaurus no Carnos no other Rexes... what you would want is something that wouldn’t team up with the rex.... if you are able to find one clear the area of any danger Raptors, Spinos, etc. If you manage to get prime meat quickly feed it to the rex. Pray to God that your ammo and supplies will last you... taming a rex may be easy keeping it safe... a whole other story..

I tamed one of these at level 15 and I am not lying btw, I play on hard and tamed a good raptor and shoot and run.

So there is a lvl 140 alpha Rex and a lvl 104 tek Rex on my island I’m thinking if I’m able to tame the tek Rex I could kill the alpha Rex btw my strongest Dino is a lvl 307 carno

I'm a noob but I just manged to tame a rex. Fide a low level rex and you use a crossbow and 25 nark arrows and made my self a 1by2 stone hut shoot the rex once then run into the hut shoot the rex easy

Started a new world, near a medium in the east zone 2 or 3 (cant remember) Rex on the other island, couple seconds later gone HE SWAM TO MY ISLAND!!! Needles to say I ran into the jungle and was killed by a scorpion

First of all, tame something like a galli or raptor. Then get the rex’s attention by shooting it with whatever dart or arrow you want. Continue doing this until it gets too close. This is when your creature comes into play. Hop on, ride away and repeat.

I tamed a rex before I tamed an argy no lies

Tamed my first today. Wasn’t even that hard. I found a good level in the snow. I was going to make a trap, but I didn’t want to waste time, so I distracted it by dropping a deer from my argent while I tranqed it out from a rock with my apprentice longneck and normal darts. After not so long, it was down. Just surrounded it with wooden spikes and tamed it ( I had 10x soothing balm on mobile btw). Had to kill another Rex, but my argent did that like a g. After that, I took it home and named it slayer. Hoped I helped anyone.

You need to build 2x2 trap from stone then put wooden ramps on one side and get the rex in the trap Mele sure he can't get out and you can knock him using Thanq arrows or darts good luck

Fr tho... The cheapest but most dangerous way of taming a Rex is to find a high level tame that you can access your weapons from. I use Thylacoleos and level up their health and stamina so that I can get the Rex to chase me while maintaining a safe distance and get a couple shots in and run do it until he begins to run away from me. Another more expensive way is to make a trap(which you probably know about) but create either a metal or stone trap of 3x3 to 4x4 foundations and doorways about 3-4 levels tall around the edges. Then place ramps on one end for the dinosaur to be able to run in. Get a flier with good health and lure the dino into the trap. This works on most of all the big dinos from Thylacoleos to even a Giga(if you tame the giga in this trap be sure to use metal bc they cam damage stong and shred your guys face). Its an expensive build, but it works for raising eggs, and taming ;). Also be sure to know if the dino cant damage it or escape from the doorframe

Today I knocked out a lvl 45 rex. DodoDex said it would take me about 40 tranq arrows from a crossbow. I shot about 15 arrows and it started running. 5 more shots and it was down. DodoDex said it would take 40 shots. I shot him 20 times and it went down?? Does it have any head multipliers cuz DodoDex says it doesn’t have any...

I would reccomend you bring 80 to 100 tranq darts depending on its level everybody misses shots sometimes.

I like building an argy trap to tame these, just get 5 behemoth gateways and two doors, line them up on the mountain with gaps in between so u can run out as it chase u in, one problem is u need a tribe mate on the other side so they can close the gate as u lead it in. another problem is u need a flat surface to build it on or else there’s a giant gap at the bottom where other creatures can get in and try to interrupt u, or even the red can glitch out, so make sure u have a fast and powerful mount so u can chase off any unwanted guests or incase it gets loose.
