If you’re using the bear trap strategy and want to lead the Rex into your trap with a flyer, use a high lvl Pteranodon and avoid using an argy. When I tamed my first Rex I used my lvl 230 Pteranodon and it followed me into the trap first try. When I tamed my second Rex I was on my lvl 240 argy and the Rex would fight anything but my argy. It took half hour for the Rex and I to clear the entire area of any wildlife and for the Rex to finally follow me into the trap. After trapping it I realised it was too low for me to tranq safely so I waited another half hour for it regen to ~2/3 health. Still was a successful tame but had there been a few more brontos nearby the Rex probably would have died.

I once ran into a level 150 rex and was shredded into pieces lost my raptors from that very day i swore revenge against these huge chickens

My little baby Rex is getting so big and fast almost as big as her mom, and she’s so juvenile. 😭

For once I will get 100% imprinting in baby Rex bench every time she just wants to walk every 30 mins the thought makes me so happy 100% imprinting

The easiest way to kill or ko these guys is to hop on a tapejara and switch saddle in the sky and just shoot it, they will usually spawn in the redwoods too

If your on easy they only take a few 15 tranqs you can easily outrun them. Once tamed their only downside is their stamina

I see t rex and spino are not fighting if you want to tame near at the spino kil spino because it can help the trex destroye the trap and chase you until in the base

I play on mobile and I’ve killed like 20 brontos and 20 rexs and I’m lev like 25 just with the bow u get from completing the dilo hunt and a bunch of stone arrows I just ran very far away and spammed it I’ve also killed a lot of spinos going beserk around me base

Just make a giant bear trap and 4 stone gates and put the the stone gates in a U shape then put a giant bear trap in the middle, lure it in through the the giant bear trap without the gate when the giant bear trap is set when u hear the giant bear trap set off the last gate behind the rex then knock it out.

Fun fact that I just found out is they with occasionally gather black pearls when harvesting trilobites. Not the most efficient way, but it helps if you need some quick black pearls. 😁👌

I’d recommend anyone to make a trap for anything in the game honestly since it’s soooooo much easier and safer (ik everyone says this and that) but making a trap is new player friendly and it will raise tame effectiveness

Rexes are very useful all around carnivores with great health and melee. Having a good Rex helps when gathering meat, other resources (hide, chitin, etc.), and great for hunting/defending. If you're on a pvp server Rexes are for raids on other tribes as well, On Scorched Earth DLC a good Rex that has been leveled properly can solo kill a death worm but if not a few decent ones together will do.

Go to the lava zone and u will find a ton of carnos and even some times a tek rex and a lot of obsidian

These guys normally spawn near cliffs so get on top of the cliff and shoot the rex with Tranq darts.

Not that hard of a tame I took my argi and 100 narcotics 50 tranq arrows and I set out to find one. While scanning the rivers I found one trying to get a theri witch was on a steep hill. I noticed the opportunity and I landed on the hill the rec could not get me so I used my cross bow and it took only 35 tranq arrows in the head to knock it out you know when it's about to be knacked out because it will start to run away from you so you can stay put and shoot it or you could follow it since it's running away it will not attake you. Keep in mind mine was a level 25 so a lower level would be easier to take. Like to share.

Me and my tribe mate tamed three rexs so I say get Tek armor fly using it and tranq it and we play on ark FINERCRAFT/ BOOSTED/ INSTAME/CLUSTER6 with mutations on valgeruo over Xbox one unnificul pc sessions
