If a Rex is near some sort of cliff bait it to the bottom of cliff and shoot in the head with tranqs arrows

JUST Don’t turn back and RUN

Taming is the same for tek rex about 20 to 30 tranq darts

Use these for alphas get it very low then kill it ur self to lvl ur self up.

If u want to find rex find in snow and always tame a higher level rex

About 100 tranq arrows on primitive crossbow for a 150 rex

When taming a Rex, hold ston gate ways ( small or behemoth ) and encase it in a trap. Then tranq and feed ( use a snow owl to freeze it in place to trap it more easily )

Get two rexes (the gender doesn’t matter) and a Carno that are more than lvl 7. Take them to Herbivore Island and go nuts on the “Attack Target” button (please don’t go after the Bronto’s unless your 100.00% sure they won’t die).

Trapping a rex will make it easier to tame. Best to knock out with tranq darts. Best to feed them mutton or exceptional kibble. Have some meat prepared.

Rexes you can encounter in the jungles/forest of the island, also the mountains, redwoods, plains, rivers, and snow. On scorched they are the same but just the desert, mountains and the little rivers. Aberration I do not believe spawn. Extinction they spawn in the city. Genesis part 1 they spawn in the lava biome and the lunar biome.

So everyone is saying to build traps and go on birds but if your lower level looking for a very low level one to tame 0 narcos needed and if it’s low level you could just go on a big rock or ledge and shoot it with tranqs that’s what I did with my rexs

Taming these Bad Boys are easy for Low Level Players!

Step1: Find One (Obvious).

Step2: Get a bunch of Tranq Darts Ready! (You can Unlock them at Level 21.)

Step3: Stand afar and let the T-Rex fight some random Dino Like a Triceratops.

Step4: Start shooting Tranq Once he Kills and Harvests Their Meat

Step5: Once it goes down, Put some Meat after some time and you can Keep Feeding Narcoberries and Berries(Any) by Feeding them both 1 by 1.

Step6: Now put some Meat in Whenever you think it is Hungry enough.

Step7: Waiting game begins.

Step8: Enjoy The Little Beast.

Get some scorpions and whistle them to attack the Rex while you and your friend light it up with tranq arrows or darts. The best way to ko a Rex without any building nonsense. WARNING the scorpions WILL die.

I found a T Rex and got it to chase me, I ran to where there was a Brontosaurus and stood behind it. While the T Rex was busy with the brontosaurus I started hitting it with tranquilizer darts till it went down, Brontosaurus walked off and I tamed me a T Rex

Rexes are very useful all around carnivores with great health and melee. Having a good Rex helps when gathering meat, other resources (hide, chitin, etc.), and great for hunting/defending. If you're on a pvp server Rexes are for raids on other tribes as well, On Scorched Earth DLC a good Rex that has been leveled properly can solo kill a death worm but if not a few decent ones together will do.

If you’re using the bear trap strategy and want to lead the Rex into your trap with a flyer, use a high lvl Pteranodon and avoid using an argy. When I tamed my first Rex I used my lvl 230 Pteranodon and it followed me into the trap first try. When I tamed my second Rex I was on my lvl 240 argy and the Rex would fight anything but my argy. It took half hour for the Rex and I to clear the entire area of any wildlife and for the Rex to finally follow me into the trap. After trapping it I realised it was too low for me to tranq safely so I waited another half hour for it regen to ~2/3 health. Still was a successful tame but had there been a few more brontos nearby the Rex probably would have died.

I once ran into a level 150 rex and was shredded into pieces lost my raptors from that very day i swore revenge against these huge chickens
