Has a terrible hit box for taking out Dimophrodons. If (like me) you're tired of dimes killing you when you aggro 1, roar. This causes the winged terrors to land and you can nom them easily!

Super rex I've seen alot, what's the max lv dino out there? cos I'm getting worried hatching 365s atm, with 1000% and 50khp after levels, I'm hoping they don't disappear when they hit certain levels. Long live the rex

Rexes have a bad grip on cliffs and mountainsides.They also take extreme fall damage.I had to get my Rex revived 2 times because of this.

Crazy stamina drain I had to change the settings because of it

Make sure there are no other predators around. You will need to know this.

For the newer players that encounter one of these things. 9 times out of 10 a bronto will spawn next to this thing. If you don’t want to use a trap try to lead the Rex to the bronto and tranq it with a crossbow and you should have your Rex as long as the bronto doesn’t kill it. Note that this only works if the bronto is around the same level as the Rex that you are taming.

Step one: take 2 hours to find one Rex

Step two: get on big hill that Rex can’t reach

Step three: hit with tranq stuff

Step four: chase because Rex is a wimp

Step five: knock out and tame with meat

I recommend for taming a Rex efficiently and getting hold on them as they run and chase you is with an Argentavis. The Argy has all the things needed such as, a way to keep the distance from the creature/Rex, stamina, weight capacity, movement/movement speed, and if you get An Argy to a high enough level they can slaughter a lot of creatures in Ark. Be sure to put your Argy on passive and not to follow unless you want your creature your trying to tame dead.

I saw a lv180 alpha Rex on the way back to my base with my giga, that Rex have 100000 hp!!! Thankfully it didn’t do that much damage. My giga with 18000 health killed it, then this Rex drop me 319 prime meat?!

How to tame any level Rex:

1: Build a pen out of either Dino gates or three high walls.

2: Build a 5 wall high tower at the end of the pen that’s not facing where the Rex is (you don’t want the pen to be too close or far away as when your are building it the Rex could just wander round the side and then it’s annoying to get it back into position).

3: Lure in the Rex with a flyer or if your really dumb then you could run away from it.

4: Lots of tranqs them throw in some narcotics or bio toxin.

5: Wait until it’s hunger is low then put in some raw prime meat mixed with some raw meat in case you run out or for when it wakes and you have a Rex!

Also you might want to farm some prime while you wait for the hunger to go down if your near the ice mountains then kill some penguins but always remember to check it’s torpor sometimes.

All you need is a few spears and rocks

One time I was on smalls and knocked out a 135 with a slingshot and my other friend. It had 50hp left and someone killed it when it tamed on a 365 mana

Knocking out a rex is easy get enough movement speed and just shoot it on a cliff if it gets on the cliff parachute down and shoot it.

DO NOT TRY TO TAME MATE BOOSTED X-REXES! Please for the love of god separate them. They take enough tranqs as it is, so don’t try it because you definitely won’t have enough tranqs to get them. I know from experience…

So I was level 81 looking for a Rex and found a lv 85 male I built a trap 16 stone door frames 4 wooden ramps and 4 stone foundations for the trap it escaped once but got back in and boo that thing was a pain it took almost all my tranq arrows and broke my crossbow and resorted to fists then I knocked it out and it was at 49hp I speed feed it meat to get its health back up then now I have a lv 125 male Rex!

I was bombarded by raptors while taming this but I managed to tame it after that I wondered how to get it to herbivore island and when I made him swim he swam fast, and way faster than me.

I would run away but not far to aggravate it to follow me and knock it out with either darts, tranq arrows, or a slingshot.
