Tips & Strategies

What are tips for rex? Tips and strategies for rex in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
here is something that would be cool in ark.
you know, scientists wonder why the T-rex have them tiny arms. they are so short they cant do much, so people have very few ideas because of what is known about these beasts. but some think they uses there claws to poke into dinosaurs that are hard fights such as a T-rex would hold down a smaller but big enough for its tiny arms to hold. so i think it would be cool if rexes in ark could hold down big and only big dinosaurs.
punch the sky if you think would be something you would think nice to be a bigger stronger animal for the end game, i never get many so just if you can.
2 Large bear trap then 3stone gateways.
Dododex has Dino info button under the amount of arrows
Rexes are scary to tame and hard to tame but it’s worth it 😀
Use a tame that can take a beating, like a thyla, preferably an imprinted one. Then use a really good crossbow, they reload quicker so as your tame takes the beating you don’t have to worry about it being killed as you are pelting the rexy with arrows. Then once it starts running you can take your time pelting it with arrows so you don’t kill the Rex you are taking.
I got a raft base, tranq the red, fed it, and gave it a ride to my dock
Don’t tranq it near the beach, it might run into the water and kill itself
Use a building to stand on and ko it with cannon instantly below 150 overwise kill it with 10 rapters
Easy tame on genesis 2 just fly above it with your free tek suit
Easy levels on a map with explorer notes
Easy Ascendant saddles with genesis 1 mission: hide and sink
Easy breeding on genesis 2, do maewing race, it will give you faster raising buff, get egg incubator from a drop to hatch eggs easily.
Use with imprinted Yutyrannus to kill whatever you feel like killing. - Layth
If you need rexes with good levels on the island... just take a powerful tame to the carnivore island (in the top right corner of the map) and kill everything you see. Sooner or later you will get what you need. (You don't need to leave the island for them to respawn I believe).
If you wanna tame anything just get something beefy you can shoot off of and hope
Here’s how your going to tame this hunk of junk:
You will need: longneck rifle with tranq darts (or a bow with tranq arrows if not at that level) and a huge rock.
Stand on top of the huge rock and shoot him in I’ve stomach or the head till he drops then feed him raw meat and narcotics until he becomes your Rex!
Bring a stack of Tranq arrows, a bow, 30 narcotics and a flying boi. Then you gotta find one lead it to a big ol rock that it can’t get on and shoot it until it runs then chase it down and tame. Need at least 4 stacks of meat or kibble or whatever
Just one tranq dart will save you
Tranq your friend and run away
The way I tried to tame mine (I didnt wanna tame it tho this works best for any situation) put down a three by three of stone foundations (anything under stone will be destroyed) and four levels of door frames with two levels of walls on top. use tranc darts for the best results.
If near the big Rex like skeleton on rag make sure to place gates in the arch or rexes have a chance of getting to your tames and eating them
Guys!!!! Don’t compare the Rex and the Spino! Both are good at what they are. Spino is a glass cannon and gets a major buff in water. It has high speed, damage, range and knockback. Use this against small enemies to medium-large enemies to ultra decimate them! Even more when in water!!! It’s damage is what carries it. Rex is a tank that is used against bigger enemies. It has ultra health, high damage (but less than Spino), moderate speed, moderate range and has a ability to stun creatures and make them defecate! Use against small enemies for major advantage, as well as big enemies too! It does good at both tanking and damage, so it’s rounded up unlike the Spino. When comparing each other, none are better than the other. They are both very good at what they do!
