Please I wish they would make the Rex less dumb ...like I'm on the ground with no mount, flalling around in its face and it's runs off trying to kill a compy like DUDE WTF

i like to leave one outside my base to protect my weaker creatures from predators. they're a slow but sturdy mount for most traveling cause a lot of smaller pests won't attack you if you're riding one

If i were to trap a rex i will use dino gateways. Not behemoth ones because the rex can walk through it. The normal ones. Like taming a giga you just want to make like a square but with one side missing. This serves an entrance to the trap. Then put a bear trap in the middle. Distract the rex into the trap and when you hear the sound of the beartrap closing, run to the entrance to the trap and put your last dinogateway. And then shoot it with whatever you want whether its tranq arrows, toxicant arrows tranq darts etc.

All you find a high cliff get up to it sand a few steps back from the ledge and shoot a grapple into the ground and repel till you have a good vantage point and shoot darts in to it. And boom you have a rex.

I was level two and it was fighting a trike and I was scared so i got the boys and we fought it with raptors and we stoped and i tamed it but we ran cause we saw a spinosaurusand we were low in health so yeah

If you use dino gates to trap it, like a giga. Be aware that they can glitch the through the top of it. I would highly advise not to use Dino gates.

To Tame a Rex Is Easy for me!!

You have to get trank darts on a normal crossbow get in a good place so no T-Rex Attacks I recommend far from him and shoot as fast you can wen he gets to close get on your mountable tame that is a Winged Mountable and then fly a bit further away when The Rex Gets To Close!

If you want to tame one of these things, all you need is a flyer, a highpoint, and tranq darts. Rexes are slow, but they’re deadly and can quite literally scare the crap out of smaller dinos. If you’re taming one on a big open grassland, you’ll need a trap, and there’s plenty of videos for how to do that

I tamed a level 190 and it was that hard and if it night time and you are taming it and you sleep it tame fast mine was a 79 percent and I slept and it was tamed

I just tamed one with a pterodactyl, a crossbow, regular meat and patience

I stood on a cliff with my ptero and use tranqs and taming balm

I did mine without a taming trap mine was stuke behind ice

When on the island near the tundra they will spawn but its nice to bring a powerful Dino because they sometimes can’t spawn because too many other dinos

If you are on a Sarco and find one near water (like my Tek Rex) shoot it with tranqs from afar while riding your Sarco. I then tamed un-aggro’d using standard raw meat :)

Just get on a large rock and shoot tranq arrows,fairly easy tame.I got twin baby rexes after breeding

I tamed one at a lvl 6 without any Dino’s cuz my tribe mates gave me Tranq arrows and a primitive bow.... it was stuck in rocks and it was fighting argies, I tamed the argies too. Lucky day in a pvp server...

You can find tons of these guys near the mountains and the snow biome.

ATTACK THEM WHEN THEY ARE ROARING! Unlike other giant carnivores they use their battle cry first. And you should quickly stab it with an ascendant or apprentice sword. If they don’t die when they finished roaring, jump onto your fly mount and go onto a mountain for high ground advantage and shoot them with whatever is your best ranged weapon.
