For some strange reason the pachyrhinosaurus puff has no effect on it when Koed
on mobile i shot one with about 10tranqs before running out, then i had to use a slingshot, which broke multiple times until i couldn't repair it, then i jumped down n used a club which broke n i couldn't repair it either so i finally punched it unconcious before stuffing some prime meat into it right before my ipad (and i) died when i had battery again, i died again (luckily i had a bed next to there) then i ran over and luckily it was tamed, then my battery died again.
I had a level 8 Rex and it took 18 arrows to take it down and it only needed 2 narcotics it takes a while to take but the trex is worth the struggle.
You can pretty easily kill any lvl of t-rex just by stegosaurus, when riding it because stego got knockback that high that he is not gonna give rex any chance to hit.
Big boy like meat big and strong
If you see it when you spawn leg it
TBH you don’t need to use a 3x3 foundation trap if you are short on resources. 2x2 is enough and 2 or 3 door frames high but it has an occasional chance that it will glitch out but ONLY if something that appeals to it or you gets close it but rarely. Use kibble for high leveled ones along with a soothing balm to get an op one.
After me and my friend had just escaped valgero (Ben wiped 3 times). We go to rag and we are starting our with our thatch base and we hear a roar and the base disappears and we see three level 150 one of them tek and I went back to the island
if you’re staying on old ark mobile instead of the new one , make sure you don’t leave it when you’re taming , they keep dissapearing mid tame on me if i don’t stand and watch
I tame one at lvl 50 and it was lvl 80…….
Took me three hours to tame
I got one yesterday they are amazing they are slow but really strong high damage good health and are a really good option for boss fights hardest part of taming them is finding them since they are rare and spawn on mountains the redwoods and the snow biome on the island map pls like this or a Rex will spawn at your base
Very easy to knock out because they are slower than a lvl 1 character so every so often turn around to shoot it until it starts to run
If your trying to get the rex in a trap but it keeps agroing on everything else then use an argy to pick up the creature (if possible) that the rex agros on and guide into towards your trap and drop the creature in the trap.
I don't know what patch they released this on, but the Rex now does 15% more damage to herbivores than carnivores. Like so everyone can use as much exp as they need on melee :)
When taming, turn off ark music and play reality check through the skull. Trust me, it works.
Hover just above it with a Quetz then just hop off, stand on the Quetzs' back and tranq it! SIMPLE! Happy taming!
The boxing method mentioned by others is very useful! I trapped a level 92 Rex in the box and it took under 20 tranq darts with the basic longneck rifle to knock it out (most were body shots before I started aiming for the head, I’m not sure if headshots increase torpor quicker). I killed some baby dinos beforehand and had my hyeanadon hold the prime meat in the craftable meat punch saddle. The tame bar goes up by over 20 percent for prime meat each time it eats, and 9 percent if it eats raw meat. The guide says the Rex’s TORPOR reduces quickly, but it DOES NOT. I did not need to put any narcotics into the Rex throughout the entire taming process. Have fun, you got this!
I remember on an official pvp server me and my tribe mate were chilin with our sinos on lost island and a lv 180 black female rex with blue underbelly and red pattern attacked us. Lost out carno pair and a couple of raptors, but eh it was worth it. We named her glitch. :) also for details on how we tamed it we air striked it with out sinos with tranq darts
