If you are a beginner, and you find yourself in a predicament, where a Rex is chasing you down here is what to do; 1. Scout, once it saw you it will roar, look everywhere that might get it stuck( Rocks, trees, ravines) or run through rough terrain!
2, vigilence if you here distant stomping, the Rex may still be following you, this leaves you with the same options as before or try to run around the beasts favourite food, it might take that opportunity rather than just a snack. (Parasaurs trikes or any herbivore that drops medium poop)
3. Prevention, Rex unlike any other creature releases a distinctive roar, being a raspy kinda like this; RAAAAAHHH or itβs primary roar ; roaA -A-A. Not very good at saying roars, but after you hear the roar, check your sorroundings as when it roars it saw something and is gonna chase it down until it eats something, that something will vary time to time, if you see a Rex stay away from it unless you have a decent mount, and or weapon!
Taming; wanna tame one of these beasts? Iβll tell you my way, step 1. Prepare, do not use melee weapons, as they do a lot of dmg per hit, so I recommend tranq arrows, and a decent ranked crossbow, remember all Rexβs regardless of lvl always have more than 1000 torpor, so pack a lot of tranq arrows, also pack scorpion kibble or prime meat for a quicker tame, prime works well as well. Step 2 the hunt, rex are commonly found in open areas; volcano, arctic, mountains, and plains) I recommend a flying animal put it on lowest follow, and fly arround till u see one. Step 3. The Knockout, the objective is to get as much tranqs as you can without it hitting you, so shoot it until I gets close then hop on your bird and fly further away to continue shooting it, once it runs get off you mount and chase it down while shooting it, once out put the taming supplies in its inventory! Ther you go you now have a Rex! Up if helpful
More Rex Encountering Tips
If you ever see one and it sees you here's how you tame and stun it
So there's a glitch in both games where there's a rock glitch
The rock glitch works like this
1st you find a rock
Make sure you can't sprint or walk up the rock
Make sure you can easily jump up and climb the rock
Look for something you want to tame
Get club ( clubs are harder or extreme mode to tame) or tanq ( easy mode) or anything you can use to kill
Find the rex then run up the rock ( PS: this works for any other animal including spinos)
The rex shouldn't be able to run up the rock so you can safely hit him or shoot him also melee is impossible any melee weapon is dangerous and I suggest you don't use them (why: they can still hit you and when they do you get knocked off the rock and have to run) also make sure the rock is big and tall or else they can walk on it
Pt 2 coming at 50 ups
So there are average rexes. They drop meat, prime meat, hide, and keratin. There are tek rexes. They drop scrap metal, oil, electronics, and element dust. There are alpha rexes. They drop tons of prime, cool loot, and some hide and keratin. So tell me: WHY ARE THERE NO ALPHA TEK REXES THAT DROP POLYMER??? thank you for your time happy hunting
Once me and my friends were terrified of Rex, and one came stomping near our base. So we grabbed all our Dino's and it was anticlimactic as we pretty much killed it instantly. Donβt be scared of rex.
(How to escape) craft yourself a super duper grappling hook, grapple a tree (high out of the rexes hitbox) now pray to God for your life, and plea for you life to the Rex.
When you encounter a rex when your a low level RUN!
I just found one near my base wish me luck and any tips
Them: low level can not kill it.
Me: stands on cliff and shoots it with a bow
Me: goes from level 10 to 25
This is an attempt, but once I was killed by an alpha Rex it scared the crap out of me

As you prbly know I ran like U couldn't run
