Believe it or not, it’s believed that the T-Rex 🦖 was covered in feathers, but not entirely like what we believe of on a raptor(Utahraptor, Velociraptor, Deinonychus, etc).

Recently tamed two Rexes at the same time. Here’s a few tips to make sure if you’re trying to tame these boss killing beasts with best results:

1.Make sure you bring the proper weapons and enough tranq arrows/darts and narcotics to make sure you can successfully subdue your target

2. Given your surroundings are accommodating, find a higher elevation where it, or they in my case, cannot reach you

3.If you don’t have a high enough elevation where they can’t reach you, either build a trap like you would for a Giga, or build a 3x3 stone foundation with stone doorframes stacked three high as well as 9 ramps with enough space to be able to quickly shoot your chosen Rex unconscious (you can find the video to build the trap on YouTube created by MissVadams it’s titled Rex Taming: Beginners guide)

3.Once you have the proper placement for everything, use a flyer to aggro your chosen Rex and have it chase you to your desired location, then you can light it up with tranqs and knock it out

4. Traps/higher ground did the job to help capture it? Excellent!!! Now start the taming process by feeding it

good thing the fools from the giga section seem to be condemned here, cuz the rex doesnt ignore all tames

just test it with any dino that gets stunned by rex roar

If you see one try let other wild creatures weaken it ,if not only attack if required. DO NOT ATTACK IN EARLY GAME WHEN U ARE JUST STARTING A NEW WORLD

they dont agro on scorpions and pterodactyl thingy from what i know

I Tamed one at level 21 I stood on a cliff and it got stuck and I shot it with a bow and tranq arrows it was level 195

It wont aggress you when you are riding a mount

How to tame:

1 Get a longneck/crossbow I recommend ascendant longneck/crossbow

2 Make a trap for easier taming

3 get shooting balm if on mobile

4 trap the rex

5 knock it out

6 feed the thick boi

And boom you got a rex

Build 6 tall with pillars with ladders at the back then just use tranqs

These things are way easier to tame than i’ve heard just grab a bunch of tranq arrows (50 to be safe), taming food and head off to a mountain. They always spawn around there, and if you can get high up on a steep slope they won’t be able to get you and you can just tranq the hell out of it.

My friend and I tried to tame a 174 trek Rex with awesome colors, we tried landing on a medium sized hill but we didn’t know that Rex’s were mountain climbers back in the days so watch out, they will climb anything that doesn’t go exactly vertical

Make sure to kill any creatures it aggroed, and do not leave it by itself, I was taming one and an argie in the redwoods so I left it to check on the argie, and when I came back it was getting killed by a Dino it aggroed. I tamed this monster using a crossbow with tranq arrows, and 3 large bear traps...i almost died taming it. but it's kinda worth it because i tamed this powerful creature...

3- shoot that thing down.

4- if it comes charging at you you’ll have raptors.

TIP: put the raptors on attack- target.

Tek rex has random levels.

When your taming your first Rex I would suggest to trap it with STONE gates And also feed it prime meat

I saw the alpha Rex tip: as soon as it’s says you have entered a dangerous area I think you should run if can pretty much see you from space if your not behind a large boulder or in your base
