Viking bay is a place rexs can come down because the forest area right by there. So be careful! I was just minding my own business looking for a pterodactyl and boom I turn the corner and there it is. I ran but it was no use!

I was once looking for any thing new i could tame, then i saw an a dino running so i took a look and found a rex following it, it was a lv 2 rex that i tamed with almost 15-20 shot with a crossbow. The rex is very strong and would probably kill me 1 shot but was too busy killing the dino

All you need is a slingshot and three stones to knock it out and from there you can use cooked fish meat

Step 1. Get 2 takes wth over 2,000 hp just to be safe

Step 2. Put the tames on passive but have them follow u

Step 3. Have the tames tank the hits while u start tranqing

Step 4. Wait until the rexs torpor is less than 100 then put food in it u shouldn’t need any narcotics but take some just in case

It’s rlly only good for hunting once u tame it unless ur in pvp

All you need is a bola some berries and your fist!!

1: Bola it when it is distracted or coming to you.

2: hit it and then knock it out

3: open inventory and feed berries an wait about 5-10 mins!!

I was on a raft sailing into a lake there were two rexs on opposite sides of the lake I looked at one it was being killed by a brachiosaurus i saw it fall I was relived but the other one was still alive i shot it with my crossbow from the middle of the lake it didn’t go after me it was distracted by other things I knocked it down to 300 hp a alpha trike knocked it down 200 hp then the trike died so I shot it two more times it died yay.

For taming it will distracted easily so you can get the Rex stuck and easily knock it out. Prime from stegos or carnos/pacacers for scorched earth.

Get up on something that the Rex can’t climb up like a cliff, mountaintop or a big rock. And pump him full of tranq ammo.

Eventually when his torpor gets low enough he’ll run away from you so you have to chase him down. Just be careful you don’t run into something dangerous.

Once you got him knocked out give him your food of choice and narcotics. And don’t try and protect him. Basically nothing is going to attack a downed Rex. Just watch him from a distance until he is tamed. The only way he’ll get hit is if something tries to attack you and it accidentally hits the rex.

Bring tranqing equipment not a bola and a club then keep tranqing them you don’t need a trap in mobile because they are slow just keep running and shooting then bring lots of meat and 50 narcotics

Traps are very useful but you can out run it with 152% ish movement highly recommend a trap if it’s a high level but if you’re confident you can do it on foot

What I like to do is get a large bear trap put about 30 narcs in the Dino and get prime meat. ps get a fridge from fab to save prime meat for a longer time

1. Trap. Make 5×5 stone foundation trap with walls and ramps outside it.

2. Get crossbow with AT LEAST 20 tranq darts.

3. Find Tyrannosauris

4. When it's in the trap, knock it out.

5.Access its inventory and give it meat.

6. If the torpor goes low, feed it narcotics/narcoberries/Bio toxin.

7. Name it

8. Take it home.
