Utility Tips
What is a reaper used for? reaper battling strategies in ARK: Survival Evolved.
Reapers. The rich mans rex. They are based of the alien franchise but that is irrelevant to this tip.
Tip 1. The reaper has no saddle, but takes WAY less damaged than other creatures. It has something like 80% damage reduction. Perfect for pvp and pve.
Tip 2. When getting your first reaper, consider these points.
A. Is it a turret reaper? If so, get as low a level as possible and don't attack anything while pregnant. It takes less element to clone.
B. Is it a combat reaper? If so, get as high a level as possible and cause an extinction event to get as many bonus levels as possible.
Tip 3. Although powerful in the right hands, reapers are no match for mutated gigas. A rex has as much chance.
Hope I helped.😚
You ever want to crush gigas and rule servers ? Take a couple of these bad boys, they only take 10% damage without a light pet and have witnessed them destroying a tribes gigas single handedley. Hands down the ultimate killing machine not to mention the tail attack grounds wyverns
They can bunny hop over large distances, are faster then most large carnivores, can solo a wild giga, and are relativly easy to get. 10/10 get a large army of these (7-10) and you will be unstopable. My 2 strongest have 50k hp and 1200 damage, and the other has 80k hp with 700 damage, and they are op, if u dont have one, than get one. (Or several)
These things are TANKS. They can have insane health (my best one has over 600k) and do an absurd amount of damage (the best I've gotten is 20k-21k). They have slow stamina drain, but even slower stamina recovery (although it always seems to fill quickly when I'm not watching). They have good weight even at low levels; both of mine sit a around 1300. They can harvest a lot of hide and meat. They're great for leveling your character and for leveling unborn reapers. They have a really good jump considering their size. They don't have a saddle but they do have a natural damage reduction.
These are brilliant they're C attack seems to have a 180 degree AOE and MASSIVE knockback and they can shoot a projectile from the tail which slows things so much a gallimimus would look slow with it! The slowing projectile and the fact they're brilliant prime meat gatherers makes them excellent for helping to tame carnivores!.. only one problem... You have to let a wild reaper queen stab you and lay her egg in your chest then let the baby hatch out onto the floor and feed it using reaper pheromones to stop it eating you alive.
Most seem to underestimate reaper kings, which if you aren't familiar with them is understandable but let me tell you this thing to the second strongest creature if not tieing with the giga unless the giga is bred but kings are way more mobile, have a base resistance of 70% but increases to about 83% riding it with full imprint and can easily get its health to upwards of 30k and it's damage 900%+ which with imprint is the equivalent of a giga with 200% dmg which may not seem like much but that's still 900+ raw damage and that's a lot for such a mobile creature..
