ravagers are basically hyenanodon on steroids ( and crack). them dudes can climb, faster than a raptor and of course, deals damage. 1 ravager isn’t much of a problem. but three, four, five…yeah you can kiss your ass goodbye. how to get them? simple. craft yourself a crossbow ( no longneck here. them things are goddamn ferrari). and make yourself A LOT of those green arrows. find a pack of your choice, and…do your thing ( make sure there’s no larger carnivores or those smaller ones or other packs). how to tame the alpha? you got two choices. one, tame the whole pack or two…well, kill his/her minions and knock the living live out of them. once knocked out, feed them meats (if you could get your hands on some prime or mutton, even better). and wait untill its tamed. don’t have the saddles yet? no problem! you’ve got youself a pack of a redbull-coccaine driven hyenanodons. so those raptors and carnos gonna think twice before they yoink yo ass. but if you find yourself faced with a more larger creatire such as drakes, rex, giga and god forbid a fi-ng carcha or reaper, sometimes its best to back down. those two were no joke.

immense fall damage reduction. you can jump from the overlook in the biolum to the very bottom of the radiation zone with a scratch.

Don’t tame a whole pack of these for combat unless you know what you’re doing! Ravagers have excellent stats and weight reductions for being a mid-level carnivore— but their pack boost is deceptive! According to the ARK wiki, that boost raises their attack by a measly 5% per member while REDUCING their defense by 3.5% per member. This is a worse bonus than what even the Compy gets; don’t rely on the pack bonus to keep your precious Ravagers from dying!

Can climb up and down vines/zip wires and gain a pack bonus like Dire wolfs, wild ones can deal a ‘gnash’ attack like allo’s and Giga’s, but like Giga’s lose this once tamed.

If only ravagers could climb up walls, maybe one day in a tox, that grand day will finally arrive, I don’t want to have to bring a thylacoleo to the abberation caves in valguero.

Great starter tames but very powerful. Also great for travel!

The weight of raw metal, stone, wood, fiber, and thatch are all halved in their inventory. Great for travelling as they can jump and travel along natural and manmade ziplines, even when following. Also good for combat, highest level has alpha status and they get a pack bonus of +4. Can gather fiber and mushrooms with their claw attack from a some wild mushrooms. (Have been able to collect from blue mushrooms, but not the red or brown ones.)

I use these guys as pack mules for loading and unloading tons of weight resources. Have a pair follow around a harvester and hae these stand on the back of a quetz. Lots of resources then. (Gotten some to 4k weight.)

The Ravager can not damage stone structures

Use bolas to stop these if you or your Dino is slowed by their attack. You can also run in water for safety because these cannot attack in water. 50% reduced weight for basically every important resource so these make great pack mules. These can climb across zip lines, press jump while looking at one (crosshaie should come up). These also jump high vertically unlike most mammals that usually jump forward, and these take extremely reduced fall damage! Great all around dinos with many uses!

really good when having more than 1, the hunt as a pack and get a buff! really nice to travel aswell, can use the ziplinez!

4hour 10min gestation, easy creature to raise early on. Be cautious when taking on a pack because yours will not apply bleed effect like the wild ones. Get bulbdog and explore hard zones quite easily. These things have high weight and decent stamina. Would recommend leveling up health and melee. Hope this helps

They can harvest the big blue wiggly mushrooms for fibre and shrooms with their claw attack

Lowkey there easy I got a lv34 aberrant for 2 bolas 15 narc arrows. In order to tame them just make sure your fast with choosing your bola to bow or crossbow or your dead these creature will completely destroy you if your not ready
