Tips & Strategies

What are tips for ravager? Tips and strategies for ravager in ARK: Survival Ascended & Evolved.
I would suggest bringing 5-10 bolas and a decent health and/or attack creature, and killing all but the one or two highest levels in a pack, then using bolas and taming one. Also bring LOTS of tranqs, took me about 30 hits on a 150 to down it
ravagers are basically hyenanodon on steroids ( and crack). them dudes can climb, faster than a raptor and of course, deals damage. 1 ravager isn’t much of a problem. but three, four, five…yeah you can kiss your ass goodbye. how to get them? simple. craft yourself a crossbow ( no longneck here. them things are goddamn ferrari). and make yourself A LOT of those green arrows. find a pack of your choice, and…do your thing ( make sure there’s no larger carnivores or those smaller ones or other packs). how to tame the alpha? you got two choices. one, tame the whole pack or two…well, kill his/her minions and knock the living live out of them. once knocked out, feed them meats (if you could get your hands on some prime or mutton, even better). and wait untill its tamed. don’t have the saddles yet? no problem! you’ve got youself a pack of a redbull-coccaine driven hyenanodons. so those raptors and carnos gonna think twice before they yoink yo ass. but if you find yourself faced with a more larger creatire such as drakes, rex, giga and god forbid a fi-ng carcha or reaper, sometimes its best to back down. those two were no joke.
Don’t tame a whole pack of these for combat unless you know what you’re doing! Ravagers have excellent stats and weight reductions for being a mid-level carnivore— but their pack boost is deceptive! According to the ARK wiki, that boost raises their attack by a measly 5% per member while REDUCING their defense by 3.5% per member. This is a worse bonus than what even the Compy gets; don’t rely on the pack bonus to keep your precious Ravagers from dying!
Lure one away from the pack, throw bola. Kill it. Do the same until all are gone.
Be vigilant. First one I encountered jumped over me to attack from behind.. Very jumpy puppies!
Use mutton op as frick and use bolas
They do NOT break stone
Ravagers prefer base meat to your best kibble, so bring your meat
Hello survivor, if your reading this is means you want to learn more about the ravager and how to tame it! Welcome the the ARK Taming and egg stealing guide For all ark creatures!
What to bring:
you will need four stone foundations, 16 snore doorframes and two wooden ramps, as well as some tranqs, I recommend around the same as a spino or maybe a few less (go check out my spino tip)
How to find:
Ravagers are found in packs roaming around the abberation map, But only in the green zone and the blue zone, as ravagers are able to take radiation damage, and will probably get mucked by the red zone creatures.
Trapping a ravager:
The trap for a ravager is simple: a square of foundations two long, and wall with doorframes two high because ravagers will and can jump one doorframe, but the ramps in the direction of the ravager pack or ravager and shoot at them, once you have it’s aggro lead it into the trap And start to tranq it out, Before tranqing it I suggest you remove all hostile Dino’s from the are beforehand
Congratulations! You now have your very own ravager!!
Hope this was helpful

They can break thatch, 2 of them broke my walls down and ate me alive.
Very dangerous. Easily tamed if you build a decent trap first.
If you want a ravager early bola one and riddle it with tranq arrows then bola the rest or lure them to another dino feed them mutton for a fast tameing process:)
The weight of raw metal, stone, wood, fiber, and thatch are all halved in their inventory. Great for travelling as they can jump and travel along natural and manmade ziplines, even when following. Also good for combat, highest level has alpha status and they get a pack bonus of +4. Can gather fiber and mushrooms with their claw attack from a some wild mushrooms. (Have been able to collect from blue mushrooms, but not the red or brown ones.)
Thought they were hyenas. Will not make this mistake again. The blood. So much blood.
Dive deep in the water if you just started and theres a pack after you. Or get as moschaps upgrade its strength ride it when they pounce in a group start attack to kill them all at once.
100% if you going for a high lvl use a Pitt fall trap also if your going for pack game 3 females and 1 male high lvl then breed them then keep the higher lvl male and get all the new females and keep rinse and repeat until you happy with army Byee!
What I did is I went and used a bola on it and shot in the head you need a few but not a lot tranq arrows but bring extra just in case once knocked out find either Ovis or parasaur (ovis is better for raw mutton)then there, you have a ravager!
If you knock out a ravager and it goes underwater and starts drowning, you can save it if you have a lasso and equus you can lasso it out of the water. This might work for other creatures around this size as well and I hope this helps.
