If you encounter one of these wolf like creatures then hit it with a bola then can either shoot it with a bow/crossbow/gun or run. You can also run into water because they cannot attack you and eventually they will run away. Stay safe survivors!

I tamed mine with stone tools and a bow with 6 narc arrows by letting it grab me, hitting it with a bola, and then a shmacked it with a club till it broke free and killed me, literally did this twice and then the third time I was used my arrows and knocked it out. Level 50 surprisingly easy and extremely fun

Apparently spawn in your brand new stone house and kill all your dinos. Good job wildcard. Nothing is safe from these things.

You CAN outrun this, IF you prepare correctly! Ravagers are absolute menaces in the early game, but if you prepare correctly you can survive them. First off this is also a general aberration tip, put the first 15-22 levels into movement speed, raptors and ravagers can’t run as fast as you if you do this. It’s pretty easy to outrun them even if they bite you if you have the right movement speed, keep in mind you CANNOT outrun them if you take out your bow. Make a trap if you can if you wish to tame one, another way you can survive though is luring a small pack (2-3) to stegos or other large creatures, hope this helps and also don’t run towards your base they will track you for a LONG time that’s how I lost everything also everything here applies to raptors, good luck surviving.

You wana make a box with door frams 2 blocks tall so it can’t escape by jumping.take out the back of trap and put small bear trap on the front of the trap. Lure it in get it to step on the trap and put wall behind it.and that is how you get a simple and easy raveger

Don't skimp out on resources for the trap since a few high level ones will destroy wood but a stone trap is very reliable

Have one with lots of weight to following you to get mettel ore because of its weight reduction they follow you on zip lines. Ps english is bad sorry

To say this from my personal experience, the ravager or properly named cave wolf is an absolutely massive pain in the rear. They're basically a significantly upgraded raptor that is surprisingly more annoying to deal with. Aside from the use of a Bola, many of the techniques used to get rid of raptors simply do not work on the ravager, as leading them to large herbivores may lead to bigger problems since they can heal from a kill. Since they have more than twice the health, it can be difficult to pick them off from a distance, and their ability to jump and climb ziplines and vines makes them a real threat to escape from. Thankfully the Parasaur is capable of scaring them off, and I have even seen wild parasur scaring away ravagers with their calls. Just like the raptor, the ravager is a challenging enemy that can become an equally viable attack animal. The best advice I can give to anyone about preparing for taking on or attempting to rid there yard of ravagers, is to treat them like the threat they are

They can follow you up a zipline... even untamed ones.

If you are stuck in the starting areas because ravagers and raptors are literally everywhere, I suggest a handy mount called the iguanadon, they are very fast and can run for a long time since while running they don’t lose stamina, I do not recommend fighting a ravager on an iguanadon tho, they can kill a raptor but can’t handle being overwhelmed by packs

These guys are stupid easy to tame on Crystal Isles. Pick it up with an Argee and yeet it into a taming pen. Knock it out however you prefer and give it some mutton. Bada bing, bada boom, Bob's your uncle.

This guy is your personal backpack that deals tons of damage and can ride ziplines

It is aberr Argentavis. He has reduction on big amount of stuff, has great stat boost to weight and can climb on zip lines.

Grab them with a crab on passive mode. Take somewhere safe. Super easy tame.

Ten steps to tame this!

1: make about 50 tranqs or 80

2: look around and find one

3: be on a mountain or at least something higher than it

4: tranq it

5: feed it meat

6: wait for it to be tamed

7: look around for any more ravagers just in case.

8: go home!

9: at least tame sum more for the animal to have besties:)

ravagers are basically hyenanodon on steroids ( and crack). them dudes can climb, faster than a raptor and of course, deals damage. 1 ravager isn’t much of a problem. but three, four, five…yeah you can kiss your ass goodbye. how to get them? simple. craft yourself a crossbow ( no longneck here. them things are goddamn ferrari). and make yourself A LOT of those green arrows. find a pack of your choice, and…do your thing ( make sure there’s no larger carnivores or those smaller ones or other packs). how to tame the alpha? you got two choices. one, tame the whole pack or two…well, kill his/her minions and knock the living live out of them. once knocked out, feed them meats (if you could get your hands on some prime or mutton, even better). and wait untill its tamed. don’t have the saddles yet? no problem! you’ve got youself a pack of a redbull-coccaine driven hyenanodons. so those raptors and carnos gonna think twice before they yoink yo ass. but if you find yourself faced with a more larger creatire such as drakes, rex, giga and god forbid a fi-ng carcha or reaper, sometimes its best to back down. those two were no joke.

immense fall damage reduction. you can jump from the overlook in the biolum to the very bottom of the radiation zone with a scratch.
