Cave Chapters: Aberration: Part 2/3
Later on Day 4 of AberrationâŚ
Sodden and Dorack rode their ravagers east across the Green Zone, continuing through the Mushroom Forest. The sunâs light was slowly fading from the cave. The cave was quiet, and all that made noise were creatures walking along the grass, some hunting down prey, some running from predators, and the occasional Basilisk hiding in the ground. The two survivors continued to their base, and as they did, Dorack turned his head and looked to Sodden.
âHey. So⌠when should we do the Grotto cave? You know, that cave in the Blue Zone?â Dorack said. Sodden sighed.
âWe might just have to take a few days to get scuba and resources to be able to go. Gonna take some time to do. Uh, so when we get back to the base, we gotta get a Anky then some metal. We need a fabricator and whatnotâŚâ Sodden said. Dorack nodded and looked forward The two kept going, getting closer to the base by the second.
Meanwhile, back in the Red ZoneâŚ
Marison stood in the giant, light blue chamber with the whirring strange machine in the center. The essence inside it was purple-pink, meaning it was critically damaged, and slowly turning gold, meaning it was dying out. Marison smiled at the sight.
âHeh. And Dorack seriously thought he could find her. Noob. Hmm.â Marison chuckled. He looked around the place, then, as he began to walk to the door, he got a notification on his implant. Marison looked down at it and saw that he got a message from Rod. Rod had set up a base in the Blue Zone and was advancing nicely. He also noticed the Rock Drakes from the Aberration Kingdom marching through the blue zone and towards the Green Zone. Marison chuckled.
âThese idiot Drakes have no idea whatâs waiting for them at the Green ZoneâŚâ Marison sneered. He walked out of the room.
~~~~
Dread crouched down near Serenity, who was sitting against the wall, shaking and breathing heavily. Dread gripped the club with his right hand and sighed.
âThe Aberration Kingdom is trying to find your little friends. We have a plan for them. We cannot let Sodden and Dorack see any of these guys. Hopefully theyâre still in that cave, getting decimated and all that.â Dread sneered. He then growled quietly and sighed.
âListen up. When Terad came down here, I already hated him. I so badly wanted to get control of the Assassin Heart. Thought theyâd just let me have it. They clearly did not understand how powerful we were. Not once did they back down, even when I kidnapped you, when I kidnapped him, and when I⌠well.. You know. Both our tribes suffered grand losses. Many creatures died, some survivors died permanently. Heh. Itâs funny, you know. You came back to your worst nightmare all because Sodden wanted to kill a bunch of creatures.â Dread chuckled. Serenity sighed and shook her head.
âI came here to find our way to the Assassin Heart. So we could destroy it and free the C Tribe and myself.â Serenity said. Dread then spat loudly and cackled loudly.
âYeah, sounds like a great plan. Just sneak into Dead Earth, find the heart and destroy it. Easy, right!? Heh. Thereâs just one little, tiny issue with that plan. Itâs impossible. These artifacts host the power of the Creator. He wanted to share his powers with the survivors to allow them to do what they want. You canât just go up and destroy it. Besides, even if you could get the resources to go down there and destroy it, the chances of surviving all the waves including the destruction are about as good as anyone getting out of this Ark alive. You know what that is? Around zero percent. Yeah. Yeah. Uh⌠like the odds of all of your friends, including you, getting out of this Ark alive.â Dread chuckled. He then started growling deeply as he picked the club up and stood up tall, looking down at Serenity. Serenity gasped.
âHmm. Not sure what makes you think you can get out of this Ark alive, let alone destroy such a artifact. Anyway⌠guess you donât wanna talk with Sylveevee about this whole situation. Yeah, just⌠just sit there and cower in a hole like the chicken you always have been.â Dread chuckled. Serenity gasped and stood up.
âWait⌠you did what?â Serenity said, her voice shaking.
âWell⌠we caught Queen Syl, brought her here, and injured her so she couldnât morph into a creature and leave. Donât worry, sheâs fine. Just on the first floor of the base. But you are going to stay near me and follow my orders. You know what happens if you donât.â Dread growled. Serenity nodded and Dread then walked upstairs, and Serenity followed him. Both survivors walked towards the staircase to the main floor of the base, right above the dungeons.
~~~~~~
Dorack and Sodden were on Reaper, traveling towards the Blue Zone. Both survivors had metal pickaxes, grapples, crossbows, and many, many tranq arrows. The two were planning to go on a resource grind and a taming spree. They were approaching the southeastern corner of the Green Zone, and they were scouting the area for any good creatures to tame. As they approached the cliffside separating the green zone from the blue zone, Sodden, who sat at the front, took out a spyglass from his bag and held it up to his eye, to look around the area for something to tame. There were a few Ankys nearby, but all of them were low levels. Sodden put the spyglass down and sighed. They kept going down the path. Sodden then turned to Dorack.
âSo I heard you nearly got Reaper killed the other day. I also saw one death message indicating that something happened while you were away. What happened?â Sodden asked. Dorack sighed.
âWell, I was lost in the blue zone at the time, and then I heard Reaperâs howling, so I went to her, then Marison and this other guy came up and injured us badly. We nearly killed Marison, but he managed to escape. His friend wasnât as lucky.â Dorack sighed. Sodden gasped and sighed.
âWhy did you not tell me this sooner? Okay⌠just say exactly what happened while you were in the Blue Zone. What happened to Serenity?â Sodden asked. Dorack looked around the area.
âWell⌠Marison and his buddy kidnapped Serenity and knocked me out so I couldnât follow her back to Dreadâs base. Like⌠come on. Itâs not like weâre gonna be able to raid the base anyway.â Dorack said.
âYeah. Maybe this is related to the Aberration Kingdom. Like⌠maybe it was to prevent us from finding them then raiding them with the help of the Aberration Kingdom.â Sodden said.
âOh⌠so you believe me now?â Dorack asked. Sodden nodded.
âYeah⌠well, apparently, Serenity was allowed to contact me with the implant and we had a little chat. Thereâs a lot of complex stuff going down here. Iâm still not totally sure exactly why or whatâs going on, but what I do know is that thereâs something bad going on and weâre part of it.â Sodden explained. Dorack nodded slowly.
âOkay⌠okay. Did⌠did she say what happened to Nal?â Dorack asked. Sodden shook his head.
âNo. She said she couldnât give any specific details about the plan. But she did say she had around 12 days to live before her essence is gone for good. Not sure whatâs happening with that.â Sodden said. Dorack nodded slowly in affirmation.
âInteresting⌠okay. Uh⌠you find any good Ankys?â Dorack asked. Sodden held up the spyglass and looked through it. He looked at a group of three Ankys. One of them was a 115. Sodden gasped and put the spyglass in his bag.
âThereâs a 115 to the northeast. Letâs go.â Sodden said. Reaper growled softly and began running northeast to the slope where they saw the Anky. It was in a bright blue bush, eating some berries off of it. There were mushrooms scattered around the place and the plants were glowing brightly with blue-greenish colors.
âOkay. Dorack, you can tame the Anky, since you have the trap. Iâll get the metal.â Sodden said. Dorack nodded, then they both hopped off Reaper. Sodden turned back to the raptor.
âIâm going to need the cryopod to transport that Anky, so youâre gonna need to keep a eye out for anything here.â Sodden said. Reaper screeched in affirmation.
~~~~~~~~~~~
Two large doors burst open. Dread had just kicked them open, as Serenity stood tall, walking beside him. They walked into a large hall, with a staircase on the two sides of the room and a narrow hallway in the center, that led to a large gate on the far end of the base. Then in the center of the room, in front of the narrow hall, was a large table, with two curved sides and a parallel pair of sides on the front and back. There were chairs scattered around, the table was not very wide, but sitting on the other end was Queen Syl, bruised on her shoulders and chest, messed up hair, and two other people holding her down to the chair. The two survivors were keeping Syl down to the chair and stopping her from escaping. Serenity walked towards one of the chairs that sat directly across Syl. Dread stared at Serenity.
âWell, go sit down.â Dread said. Serenity nodded and sat down in the chair. Syl looked up at her.
âAh, so we meet. Been waiting a while for this, you know. I wanted to meet you in a different fashion, but eh, itâs fine. We have bigger problems now. Until a few days ago, we had no problems with Dread and his tribe. Which is good. But when you got here and one of your friends died super violently somehow, I suspected something was up. Serenity, one of my friends remembers you from the last time you were here, over a year ago.â Sylveevee said. Serenity sighed.
âYes. I met them one time. They were cool. I bet they told you about everything that happened.â Serenity said. Syl shook her head.
âOh, no. He didnât need to tell me. I already knew. Then I heard of Rodâs messages and learned about you and your friends. I wanted to protect them, but⌠Itâs too risky.â Sylveevee said shakily. Dread chuckled.
âYeah, you think I didnât know that? I-â Dread said, then he was interrupted by a sound. His implant made a ding, and there was a message from one of the Rock Drake hunters. Dread growled quietly.
âGimme a sec.â Dread said as he turned around and lifted his arm to see the message. He gasped when he saw what it read. He turned on voice communication just then.
âStay out of sight. Do not let them see you. If you see Sylâs army approaching, attack immediately.â Dread growled. He turned off the voice, sent the message, then put his arm down and turned back around. He chuckled and growled.
âLooks like we have a bit of a⌠predicament. My army has discovered you-know-who in the Blue Zone right now. Sylâs army is approaching fast. Hmm⌠Queen Syl⌠recall your army. That way, you wonât have to lose any of your troops.â Dread sneered. Syl gasped and stood up, pushing the two survivors behind her away.
âOne, itâs Highness to you. I guess you hate royality, huh? And two, Iâm not giving up my army. We will fight, no matter what it takes.â Syl yelled. Dread growled and stormed over to her then grabbed her neck. Syl gasped in pain as Dread held her down to the chair. Serenity gasped and stood up.
âSerenity, you have anything to say about this crap?â Dread growled deeply. Serenity stammered.
âUh⌠well, where did you find the army?â Serenity said. Dread chuckled.
âWhy do you care?â Dread growled as he gripped tighter on Sylâs neck, causing her to start choking.
âListen! I saw where the army was going. If Sodden and Dorack are nearby, theyâre quite close to the Hidden Grotto. IâŚâ Serenity stammered. She then looked around and whispered something.
âIâm sorry, Sodden and Dorack. I love you two.â Serenity said under her voice, then she looked back up at Dorack.
âLead them to the cave entrance. Thatâll lure them away.â Serenity said. Dread chuckled.
âAh, yes. Good.â Dread sneered. He released Sylveeveeâs neck then threw her onto the table. She shouted in pain as she sat up, groaning.
âSerenity, stay here. Watch her and do not let her heal. And one more thing. If I find you anywhere else⌠well, you know what happens.â Dread sneered. Serenity nodded. Dread turned away and walked through some doors on the right side of the room. The second the doors closed, Serenity looked at the table , flipped a chair over, and took a bag out from under it. The bag had multiple medical brews. Serenity chuckled.
âI think he forgot how smart I am. I know how to outsmart you, Dread. Iâm not scared of you.â Serenity said. She took out some medical brews and turned to Syl. Serenity then held two of the brews to Sylâs mouth, and she gulped the liquid down. As she did, her bruises slowly dissolved and her energy was slowly regained. Syl sat up and looked at Serenity.
âWha⌠do you know how risky-â Syl said, but Serenity interrupted.
âYou need to morph into a Rock Drake and escape this place. Find Sodden and Dorack and protect them. Do not let Dreadâs army stop them.â Serenity whispered. Syl nodded and looked around the place. She stood up then looked up at the thick stone ceiling, which had metal right above it. She then yelled and her body started glowing pink, magenta-ish, then her arms and legs began to extend and feathers grew from them. Her neck extended and her head began to morph into one similar to that of a Rock Drake. Her tail formed and her arms had become the wings. Serenity nodded. Syl growled quietly as she lifted off the ground right as Dread burst into the room.
âWhatâs going- oh.â Dread growled. He was silent.
âGET THE DEFENSES. DO NOT LET HER LEAVE.â Dread snarled. Syl then broke through the ceilings, shattering the top metal wall and exposing the middle layer to radiation. The insulated base would protect everyone inside from radiation. As soon as Syl left the base, the towers surrounding each corner of the base walls lit up with survivors holding crossbows. The guards continued to shoot at Syl as she glided away, dodging all the arrows. Then some Rock Drakes guarding the front gates saw Syl leaving and they took off to chase her down. Dread stormed over to the front walls.
âSeal the ceiling now! Serenity, get back to your cell. Iâll handle you later.â Dread growled. Serenity gasped and ran in the other direction, towards the staircase going down to the dungeons.
~~~~~~~~
Sodden and Dorack sat near the unconscious Anky, feeding it berries and keeping watch. Reaper kept watching the area. Then as she was sniffing the place, she smelled something strange. She chittered and growled softly then started sniffing as she followed the trail down south. Sodden looked up to see Reaper walking away.
âBro⌠whereâre you going? Did you find something?â Sodden asked. Reaper sniffed and looked around the place, then she noticed something walking towards her from a distance. She then screeched loudly and ran straight at Sodden and Dorack, then she grabbed their arms and threw them both on their back. Sodden yelped and grabbed the saddle, and so did Dorack. Reaper roared and ran straight from the Anky.
âBro⌠what⌠what happened!? What did you see?â Sodden asked. Dorack turned around and gasped.
âUh⌠dude⌠I think I know whatâs going onâŚâ Dorack said as he pointed to behind him. Sodden turned around and gasped. There were 10 rock drakes running at them, and there were two survivors on each one, shooting arrows and bullets at the survivors. Sodden gasped.
âCrap. We need to find somewhere to hide!â Sodden yelled. Then, as the Rock Drakes approached, another one showed up in the sky, gliding straight at the survivors. But this one was unusual. It had a fully magenta body, with slightly bruised wings and a bright red tail. Then it swooped down and grabbed Reaper and the two survivors and swooped straight east, speeding towards a giant lake.
âWhat!? What the heck⌠who is this?â Sodden yelled, gripping Reaperâs saddle tight. The Rock Drake roared loudly. Dorack gasped as he stared at the rock drake. It was completely pink-magenta colored, and the feathers felt more like human hair.
âThis⌠this is her. This is her. This is Queen Sylveevee right here!â Dorack yelled. Sodden sighed.
ââCan we not right now?â Sodden groaned.
âNo. Heâs right. I am Queen Sylveevee. I just escaped from Dreadâs base. His army is hunting us down. Weâre going into the hidden grotto. Hold your breath, weâll talk later.â Syl said. Sodden nodded then him and Dorack iinhaled some air and held it in as Syl dove into the water, going straight down a large, deep hole that led into a cave system. They flew straight through the entrance, then Syl started glowing as her body shrunk. Her tail then became more flattened and her body became slimy. She then became a diplocaulus. Sodden and Dorack gasped and jumped on her back, then held the air pockets to their mouths as the diplocaulus swam past multiple cnidarias and eels.
Meanwhile, on the surface, the rock drakes were put into cryopods by the survivors.
âWe need to go down there now. Kill them all.â One of the survivors said. The others nodded in agreement and two of them walked to the shore of the lake and took a cryopod out of their bags. They threw out a Bary, then the two survivors got on it and dove down, wearing scuba armor, to find their targets.
Meanwhile, deep in the cave, Reaper, Sodden, Dorack, and Syl all arrived at the surface chamber of the cave. Reaper screeched loudly as she inhaled the oxygen in the room again and again, and Syl then leaped forward, Sodden and Dorack jumping off, then Syl glowed and she became taller and her tail disappeared, and her normal human form returned. Sodden was shocked and confused. Dorack was speechless and confused.
âOkay⌠you might be asking what the heck is going on. So⌠basically, I had no part in all this until Dread invaded my base and took me away. I was forced to get my hazard suit to protect from the radiation and then we got to Dreadâs base. They badly injured me so I couldnât morph into a creature. Then Serenity was brought upstairs to talk with me.â Syl said. Sodden gasped.
âOh⌠howâs she doing?â Sodden said. Syl sighed.
âSheâs badly bruised and bloodied on her entire body. Looks like Dread gave her quite a beating. She had tears in her eyes as she was walking with Dread. But she was determined to protect you two, so she healed me and I was able to escape. Weâre not safe for long, though. Theyâre definitely coming down here to kill us.â Syl explained. Sodden nodded slowly. He then turned away and sighed. Reaper growled softly and walked to Sodden. She whimpered as she moved her head onto his shoulder. Sodden sighed and petted her softly. Syl walked over to Sodden.
âSo you must be Sodden. I heard of you when you came to Scorched Earth. Quite a tough mission youâre pursuing here, but itâll be worth it. Anyway⌠uh⌠whoâs the raptor?â Syl asked. Sodden turned back around to Sylveevee.
âThis is Reaper the Raptor. She has a creature implant, something very rare for us survivors.â Sodden said. Syl gasped as she noticed the glowing speck on Reaperâs big red claw.
âIâve seen many creatures with implants down here. Many of their implants dissolve within hours, though. Some persist for days or even weeks. Itâs rare for one to last forever, as it only happens if you tame a creature with a implant then get a baby from that creature. If the baby has the implant, then the tame will keep the implant forever until it dies. So you donât see these often in your Ark⌠right?â Sylveevee said.
âNo, we donât If I had to guess, the reason so many creature implants occur here is because of mixes with survivor implants and radiation. It may cause the implant to have different host data, so itâd be put on a creature of some sort. Because of its radiation, though, it dissolves quickly. Unless itâs put on a imprinted creature. Like Reaper. Thatâs why sheâs had it for so long.â Sodden said. Syl nodded.
âMakes sense. Uh, I donât know much about this whole plan or what Dread wants to do, but I know that you two are in danger and we need to leave the place fast. Okay, we need to go.â Sylveevee said. Sodden and Dorack nodded. Sodden took a cryopod out of his bag and put Reaper in it, then Sylveevee walked to the other side of the chamber, to the underwater passage. Sodden and Dorack walked closer to her, then Syl began to glow magenta-pinkish. A bright red hue surrounded her body as she began to shrink, her body becoming more slimy. Her legs and arms flattened and her tailbone extended from her rump and became long and flat. Her head became flat and some openings appeared in the sides of her body. She them stood on four legs, as a Diplocaulus. Sodden and Dorack hopped on and the group shot down into the passage, the two survivors holding the air pockets on the sides to their mouths, and they continued through the tunnel of deadly creatures.
After some time of manuvering through the cave, dodging creatures, and speeding through cave tunnels, they arrived to a bright blue room full of water, where there were multiple cnidarias around. There was a small, bright blue container on the bottom of the room. The container had a small, light green beam of light going through it. Syl swam down to the container, and Sodden then got off, holding the air pockets, and mumbled as he pushed the lid off, groaning. He quickly got the artifact of the Shadows and got back on the Diplocaulus. Then they dashed away as the cnidarias closed in. However, something was waiting for them back up at the surface chamberâŚ
As they rose to the surface, a loud sound went off and a bullet flew straight into the Diploâs body, and she immediately threw Sodden and Dorack off and morphed back into her human form. She collapsed to the ground, groaning as she clutched her chest. There were two survivors standing right in front of the group, and they had some Megalosauruses with them. Then someone came from behind the creatures. He had a thick, black and gold armor, made of metal and element, and he was wearing a helmet with bloodied horns on the top. Then the survivor stormed over to Sodden and Dorack. Sodden gasped and stood up in front of him. Then he took his helmet off and put it down on the ground.
âSo⌠we finally meet.â The person growled. Sodden gasped.
âYouâre⌠youâre him. Youâre Dread. I know you. What⌠what are you doing here and what have you done with-â Sodden said in a rising voice, then Dread interrupted by punching Sodden in the shoulder and then picking him up, and throwing him aside. Sodden slammed into the ground, and got up slowly, groaning in pain.
âI want none of your business. Did you really think you were going to be able to escape this cave alive? Ha! I came over here on my Rock Drake to talk with you personally. Heh. Yâall are idiots. Sodden⌠yes. I know you. Rejected by Nudon on day one. You canât run from Terad forever, you know that. Dorack⌠ah, yes. Heâd do anything to save NalâŚâ Dread growled as he walked towards Dorack, who gasped as he stood up and looked at him, shaking a bit.
âYou are ignoring what Rod gave you. What he told you. Just⌠hmm. Iâll give you back Nal. Iâll give her back in her full form and essence, and sheâll be left unharmed. I just need you to do this one thing.â Dread sneered. He took out a shotgun, which had red-black streaks across it and orange-cyan colored bullet chambers. Its trigger was painted yellow, and its handle was painted entirely red. Dorack gasped as Dread held the shotgun out. Dorack took the shotgun from his hands.
âJust shoot Sodden and Syl down. Do it. And Nal is yours.â Dread sneered. Dorack gasped in horror and stared at Sodden, who was sitting on the ground, groaning from bruises on his back, and Syl, who wrapped a bandage on her chest to heal herself. The two looked up and gasped as Dorack looked around with the shotgun. Dorack was gasping quietly as he tried to find a way to get out of this.
âDo it⌠and your girlfriend is yoursâŚâ Dread whispered. Dorack struggled to keep all his anger inside. He mayâve looked stressed and chill on the outside, but he was boiling as hot as lava with rage inside of him. Dorack continued to gasp, and he started growling quietly. Dread growled deeply and spat on the ground next to him.
âWell? You gonna save your girlfriend or what?â Dread sneered. Dorack knew what was happening. Dread assumed Dorack was stupid because of his brain injury. He assumed Dorack wouldnât care about Sodden. Dread thought that Sodden was merely an acquaintance. Dread didnât understand that Sodden is the whole reason that Nudon got the courage to hunt down the Assassin Heart. Dorack then whistled quietly. He started whistling a quiet howl, a sound that sounded like a raptorâs call. Then Soddenâs bag shook. A cryopod fell out of it. Then Reaper rose from the cryopod.
âDistract him. Iâll cryopod you as fast as possible. Syl⌠morph into a Rock Drake. Now.â Dorack whispered. Syl and Reaper nodded softly. Then Reaper lunged far and forward, then grabbed Dreadâs head with her claws, and he shouted in pain. Dread yelled in anger as Reaper distracted him. Reaper pinned down his shoulders as Dread grabbed her neck and tried to push her off. Reaperâs claws were strong, but Dread was even stronger. Reaper got pushed away then she lunged again, this time she bit straight into the armor and starting ripping off pieces of it. The other two of Dreadâs tribemates got on their Megalosauruses and ran straight at Reaper, and Syl stood up and began glowing magenta. She dove into the water as she did and she transformed into a megalodon. It roared loudly as it began to glow again, this time rising out of the water and becoming a Rock Drake. Reaper got shoved off Dread by the Megalosauruses, but Dreadâs armor was badly damaged and he was mildly bruised. A Megalosaur then ran straight at Reaper, who was groaning as she stood up, and opened its mouth and grabbed Reaper by the body. Reaper screeched loudly as she was plummeted down into the water. Then Dread growled as he stood up and yelled as he ran at Dorack, who held Dreadâs shotgun. Dorack fired the gun, and jumped to the other side as soon as he pulled the trigger. The bullets cracked his armor and did even more damage to his armor. Dorack then saw the Megalosaur and its rider continue to bash Reaper, chewing through her flesh. Blood spread across the water. Reaper growled softly as she began to suffocate. Dorack gasped and dove straight in, then he used the shotgun to bash down the Megalosaur and its rider, then after the rider andd creature died, Dorack grabbed Reaper and swam back up. Dread was lying on the ground, groaning, while the other survivor grabbed him and ran to his Megalosaur. He put it in a cryopod and threw a Baryonyx out.
âBro.. where are you⌠goingâŚâ Dread groaned.
âWeâre leaving. That raptorâs dead anyway. Just forget these idiots.â His tribemate sneered. He stared back at Syl, Dorack, and Sodden. Then he and Dread got on the Bary and dashed for the exit. They both swam upwards to the exit. Dorack took some gauze pads and pressed them down on Reaperâs body as he put Reaper on Sylâs back. Sodden got on too and the three dashed into the entrance, dashing out of the cave. As they rose, the army at the top started shooting arrows and rocks at Syl. Most of them missed as Syl glided away. Then a arrow with a strange purple tip flew through the air and struck Sylveevee in her rump. She screeched in pain as Dorack and Sodden held tightly on Reaper and Syl.
âI got her! I got her!â A survivor shouted as he jumped up and down. He saw the Baryonyx rise from the water. Dread had a scratch on his shoulder, but he was barely able to stand up. His implant flickered orange and green rapidly. Dread growled as he jumped off the Bary and saw Syl swerving through the air and glowing pink, then she began descending to the ground.
âUgh. Whatever. With Soddenâs raptor and Sylveevee out of the way, we can finally do this. Army, get back to the base. We need to repair our armor and fix the damages. Besides⌠I have someone to talk to.â Dread growled deeply. The survivors standing around him nodded and they got on their Rock Drakes. The Bary was put into a cryopod and Dread got on one of the Rock Drakes. Then the Rock Drake army screeched as they took off. Sylâs army had long been called off because of Dread. Serenity was in danger of going to the Reaper Queen, Sodden and Dorack potentially exposed their location, and both the Queen of Aberration and Reaper were in critical condition.
~~~~~~~~~~
The magenta-colored Rock Drake rapidly fell to the ground, near the base. Sodden and Dorack screamed as they held onto the feathers and Reaper. Syl screeched in pain as she shrunk quickly, then they all struck the ground hard. The impact ejected a lot of dust and dirt and most of it flew across the place, towards the base. Sodden groaned as he stood up. He was moderately injured, and so was Dorack. Dorack grunted as he stood up, picking up Reaper, who was losing blood quite quickly. Sylveevee didnât get up, though. Dorack set Reaper down on the ground, and started putting some gauze pads on her wounds. She had a open wound on her back, her tail was badly bruised, and her neck was bleeding a bit. Her legs were not in good shape either; there were cracked claws. Dorack wrapped Reaperâs body in a roll of gauze and put bandages on her legs. Sodden ran to Dorack and gasped.
âYou have to put her to sleep. Okay? That way, we can help her without hurting her.â Sodden said. Dorack nodded and took some narcotics from his bag. Sodden turned around to Syl and ran to her. Sodden crouched down near her body and put his fingers on her chest.
âShe still has a pulse. She seems to be unconscious.â Sodden said. Then he saw a arrow sticking out of her upper leg. Sodden then grabbed the arrow and slowly lifted it out. Then as he did, blood spurted out of Sylâs leg. Sodden took the arrow out and got some bandages from his bag, then pressed them down on Sylâs wound. Then he looked at the arrow and gasped in shock. The arrow was a poison arrow. Syl had gone unconscious from the poison. The poison was spreading through her body quickly. Sodden picked her up and walked into the base, and set her down on Nalâs bed.
âOh⌠I wonder how Serenityâs doingâŚâ Sodden said. He then put more bandages on her chest wounds and some of her bleeding bruises. Syl then started gasping quietly, then blood started pouring out of her mouth. Her breathing then stopped suddenly and she started making noises. Sodden gasped.
âDorack, get in here now!â Sodden yelled.
~~~~~~~~~~~~
Meanwhile, at the Rock Death baseâŚ
Dread stormed through the halls of the base. He had just arrived at the base and immediately burst through the gates. He then stormed down the staircase to the dungeons. He then walked down the hall to the other staircase, leading to the bottom cell. Dread then took out a long metal club that had small spikes on it. He burst open the door. Serenity was sitting in the far corner and saw Dread come in. Serenity gasped as she saw Dread coming.
âNoâŚâ Serenity gasped, her heart beginning to accelerate. Dread growled. Serenity whimpered and turned her head away, and Dread grabbed her neck. She screamed, trying to get out by hitting Dreadâs hands. Dread then threw her across the room. She couldnât stand because the impact broke her legs. Tears began appearing in her eyes.
At this same time, Dorack was trying to stitch up Reaper and Sodden was trying to stop Syl from choking on her poison.
Meanwhile, Serenity backed up against the wall, gasping quickly. Dread lifted the club and Serenity looked up at him.
âNO!!!â Serenity screamed as Dread brought the club down quickly. It struck her chest and everything went black.
To be continuedâŚ

These things are beasts!!! I have mine named Junker and i was exploring green zone and fell off a cliff with him leading to blue zone. Im a noob and a big dum dum, so i was lost and didnt know where to go. We were camping on a zipline, when a pack of ravages rushed us, I thought I could fight on zipline with him but was knocked off of it and into the river below. To my surprise and Doom there was an Alpha Karkinos that grabbed me off of him and killed me, but not Junker. HE FOUGHT LONG AND HARD, while i was rushing back for him with his mate (Queen). I arrived in time to draw aggro from him and finally we took it down, along with tons of other dinos and nameless along our way out. I started Abberation like 3 days ago and I'm still discovering the map.

Chapter 5
âHow to you know so much about this place Feather?â Asked the direwolf âthis is my home, some humans brought me to the island a long time ago, those hairless things where called nameless, and the black one was a reaper kingâ replied Feather âokay, but whatâs that?â Spat the direwolf, pointing toward Renegade âuh, oh, um, thatâs a ravagerâ replied Feather sadly âwill any of you tell me whatâs going on here?â Asked Renegade âhi there! Iâm Lynx, the grumpy direwolf is Rorin, and the featherlight is Featherâ replied the thyla, Rorin growled âwell um, since you just saved me, if you donât have anywhere to stay, you could come stay at my place for a little while, by the way, Iâm Renegade or Ren for shortâ said Renegade âthat be great! But can we go hunting first?â Asked Lynx âLynx, you canât just go around trusting everyone you seeâ growled Rorin âI know that! But I have a feeling about him, and besides, I trusted you and that came out just fine!â Joked Lynx âAND I trusted YOU and YOU dragged me HEREâ growled Rorin âhmph! Letâs just go already! We need a place to stay and something to eat anyway!â Cheered Lynx, following Renegade to the closest source of food.
The four of them returned to the cave dragging a parasaur, barley enough for the five of them, Ceilia flew down from her nest in the cave wall âyouâre finally back Ren! Iâm st-â Said Ceilia as she froze in place âCeilia?â Asked Feather excitedly.
Ahhhhh gotta go!

Chapter twenty seven: King James Aragorn.
Chapter twenty seven:
The hood fell to reveal, a face distorted with age and injury, and filled with anger and pain. He had raven black hair that fell to his shoulders, he had one dark brown eye and the other was white and his face was scarred. Ugly red scars. Emma trembled sadly, tears running down her face. The words from her vision of him rang through her memory. âA terrible price must be payed for those who defy deathâ.
âI cannot do it.â Nora said, standing in front of Cyra, Sylvia, and Emma. The shadowy figure cocked his head at her. âPlease NoraâŚI canât give her up.â He said, desperation creeping into his voice. âIt it wrong. Youâll only hurt her more than dying did. Bringing people back to life ends with terrible results.â Nora said. The shadowy figureâs face contorted with rage. âYou think I donât know that!!!!â He yelled. âYou donât know how it feels to be torn apart from the inside, and tossed back her into this HORRIBLE world!!! You donât know the pain of realizing that thereâs nothing left for you in this world!!!â The man shouted, his face full of pain and anger.
Nora turned slightly and addressed Cyra. âCyra. You know what to do. Youâre the fastest.â She told Cyra. The shadowy figure blinked, unable to comprehend what she was doing. Cyra sped toward the shadowy figure, at the speed of lightning and pressed her hand against his forehead.
Instantly Cyraâs hand, at first cold, became burning hot. Memories came coursing down on him. Memories. Memories of her. The one he loved. âAre you, are you, coming to the tree where they strung up a man, who called for his love to fleeâŚâ She had sang. Her sitting next to him in a garden. Her tossing her hand in his face, exasperated with him. Her crying. Her dancing. Her lying on the shore of a lake, unconscious. Her kissing him. Her singing softly, while rocking a baby. Her laughing. Her watching him gently. Her singing with him. Her. And then the memories took a dark turn. Her being hung in front of him. âItâs okay.â She had said.
But it didnât feel okay. It hurt. Dying and then coming back. Pain. Burning pain. But even the pain of coming back, didnât match the pain of losing her, his beloved, his wife. Consumed with rage at the ones who had taken her from him, heâd gone on a mission to kill them all. He felt nothing. No regret. Nothing. His pain had clouded out the possibility that they didnât deserve to die. If anyone did, it was him. âIt is well. With my soul. It is well with my soul. It is well with my soulâŚâ
James shot up breathing hard. His sword clattered to the floor. Nora stood in front of him now. The other woman behind her. Tears began to fall, running down his scarred face. âIâm sorry. I didnât mean to.â He cried. âPlease I donât deserve to live..â Nora shook her head. âNo James. You were blinded by your pain. We need your help. Your children need your help. Youâre the only one, who can defeat Tom the slayer of dreams. â Nora said. James was breathing heavily. âI donât deserve to live. I killed innocents.â James whispered. Nora straightened her back and looked him in the eye, with a look that reminded him of Arianna when she was reprimanding him.
âNo. What would Arianna say if she was here? She wouldnât want you to be pouting. She would want you to help us. Do it for us! Do it for your kingdom! Do itâŚfor Arianna. Rise King James! Rise!â Nora exclaimed. She held his sword out to him. James drew in a deep breath. Nora was right. He would do it. For Arianna. Slowly, wearily he rose to his feet, took his sword from Nora, and turned toward the Krakos. âThomas!!!â He roared. The Krakos turned to face him. âJames. Iâve been expecting you.â Tom rumbled. James cracked his neck. âLets finish this, brother. Shall we?â

Chapter 6
The two featherlights flew strait into each other and, well hugged? Can birds hug? Hugging, the only way to describe it. âWhoâs that?â Asked Rorin âthis is Ceilia, sheâs my mateâ replied Feather âwhat happened to you?!â Asked Ceilia âthe humans took me away! But Iâm back now, thatâs all that mattersâ replied Feather. âWell Iâm happy you where reunited, but, from the sounds of it weâre all starving! Letâs eat!â Said Lynx. The five of them sat down and ate, by the end of the, um, day? They where stuffed and had exchanged stories and explanations. âIâm sorry you got exiled Ren, they must be a really sucky family if they just abandon you like thatâ consoled Lynx âLynx! Come here!â Growled Rorin âWHAT!?â Hissed Lynx as Rorin dragged her to the back of the cave where no one would hear them âwhat if heâs lying? What if he just wants to make us feel sorry for him so weâll help him take back his tribe, and turns out heâs evil!â Whispered Rorin angerly âRorin! How could you say that! He was nice enough to give us shelter and help us find food, thanks to him we even reunited Feather with his mate! Feather is the happiest Iâve ever seen him, and heâs been really sad recentlyâ Growled Lynx in return âIâm going to tell Ren about the prophecy!â Finished Lynx as she got up and walked back to everyone âbut we donât even know if itâs real!â Yelped Rorin, chasing after Lynx. âRen, I have something to tell you, me, Rorin, and Feather discovered a prophecy and we think youâre part of itâ said Lynx abruptly âits possible, my tribe has seen many prophecyâs over the yearsâ replied Ren with a curious look on his face. Rorin had a blank look on his face, prophecyâs werenât real, where they? âWeâre gonna need some help too, so far at the end of each world we go to thereâs always a bossâ finished Lynx, Ceilia squeaked. âI think I know what youâre talking about, and I can get you some help.â Said Ceilia, shyly âplease help us! If you could get us help and show us the boss that would be great!â Replied Lynx excitedly âletâs get some sleep firstâ said Rorin, finally absorbing the truth. Feather and Ceilia slept in the make shift cave wall nest, Lynx and Rorin slept close together, sharing warmth, and Renegade slept by himself, excited, maybe he would get his tribe back.
âWhere are you taking us Ceilia?â Asked Rorin âdeep, deep into the dark zone, ah! Weâre here! Put youâre ear against the wallâ replied Ceilia. Only Lynx, Rorin, and Ren put there ear to the wall as the birds had already heard it. Ren listened, he could hear whispering, telling him to dive deeper, let it absorb him, he couldnât escape from the...rock...wall? âYou guys here that too, right?â Asked Rorin, panicking âyeah, itâs weird, itâs like its trying to lure us inâ responded Lynx, confused. âCeilia, are you fully charged?â Said Feather as he turned to look at Ceilia âno, Iâve barley charged at all, itâs too dark, wait, ARE YOU OUT OF CHARGE!?â Answered Ceilia ây-yesâ stammered Feather as the light from his Feathers started to fade âwhat does that mean?â Asked Rorin âit means...theyâre comingâ replied Ren, spooked, as a rumbling sound appeared and a reaper burst out of the ground âitâs just a reaper king, we can handle it, thereâs a charge node nearbyâ said Lynx, relieved âNo, no no no noâ mumbled Feather, him and Ceilia, terrified, only Ren new why, âitâs a reaper queenâ growled Renegade.

Renegades Shadow
Chapter 11
Renegade jumped on a large rock as the tribe starred in shock. âI know you all think I betrayed the tribe, but that is a lie made by Vengeance in attempt to become leader, then, later he and an accomplice poisoned the king, the accomplice hoping to gain leadership after killing Vengeance, how, how you may ask, how will I prove this, well the answer is simple, Andrea come hereâ called Renegade from atop the rock. Andrea stepped forward in shock as the crowd moved away from her, Andrea joined Renegade atop the rock âtell them, I will not stand for your liesâ whispered Renegade, Andrea was terrified, she had seen what Renegade was capable of, she did not want today to be her last âV-V, Me and Vengeance lied to you, Vengeance and I both wanted to rule, the plan was to lie to you all, then poison the king so Vengeance could rule, and after about a year, I-I was planning on poisoning Vengeance so I could rule, I-Iâm sorry, please forgive me, banish me if thatâs what you wantâ Andrea bowed her head in shame, she did not expect what was coming next, âAndrea, sister, I know your rights were taken away from you the moment you where born, mother only wished for you to rightfully rule, but new father would not allow it, now that I am ruler I will change that law, if the oldest child of the previous ruler is female she will still be able to lead, there will be no punishment this time Andrea, riseâ finished Renegade with a calm smile in his face, Andrea got up, smiling.
It had been about a week and they already had all the artifacts, the alpha basilisk fang, and the eight basilisk scales, claw, but they still needed nameless venom, reaper pheromones, rock drake feathers, an alpha reaper king barb, and now, Renegade was sending Rorin and a large team of Ravagers to get the alpha karkinos claw.
The alpha karkinos had been spotted, Rorin and his team where perched on a cliff, watching it when the whole cave started to shake, earthquake, thought Rorin. Rorin hurtled a clinking sound and turned around, a weird human concoction, I think Feather called it a medical brew remembered Rorin as he picked it up and stored it in a log so he could come back for it. Rorin sent one of the ravagers to lure the alpha karkinos to the cliff where the rest of them jumped onto its back and clawed it to death. Rorin carried the medical brew while four of the ravagers in his team carried the claw.
Rorin and the team returned with the claw, Renegade thanked Rorin and the rest of the team, Rorin finally starting to warm up to Renegade. All of a sudden Feather came flying in as fast as possible âRenegade! Thereâs something wrong with Lynx!â Called Feather âtake us to her!â Yelled Renegade, Rorin following with the medical brew still in his mouth. Feather led Rorin and Ren to where Lynx was laying, moaning, with Ceilia beside her. Just then Lynx let out a loud hiss and her stomach exploded with a little creature bursting out of it, the little creature tried to attack Lynx but Renegade jumped on top of the little creature. âCeilia! Here! I found a medical brew!â Called Rorin as Ceilia grabbed the medical brew in her talons and gave it to Lynx, her injury from whatever that just was, healing almost instantly. âWhat is that!?â Growled Rorin âIâve only heard of it...â mumbled Feather âtell themâ whispered Ceilia âI-itâs a reaper king, thereâs this legend that if a reaper queen stabs you in the stomach when sheâs close to death, youâll be impregnated, I didnât think it was realâ said Feather, anxious âshould we kill it?â Asked Renegade, still on top of the baby reaper king âNo! Waitâ said Lynx, weakly, as she got up, barely able to stand, she walked over to it and touched noses with it, it calmed down instantly âdid you just imprint on it!?â Question Rorin âum, I think soâ replied Lynx, dazed. Renegade got up slowly from on top of the baby reaper king, it shot towards Lynx, faster than anyone could stop it, and, hugged her leg? âWhat are you gonna call it? It clearly not going to hurt youâ asked Ceilia âum, how about Stalker?â Replied Lynx âoh yeah sure letâs just keep AND name the creature that just exploded out of and nearly killed Lynxâ said Rorin sarcastically âRorin, hush!â Growled Renegade, leaving Rorin grumpy.
Stalker grew up quickly, in only a week, and I would do anything Lynx said and anything to protect her, he was nice to most people but for some reason would completely ignore Rorin, wonder why, wink wink.
Thank you for the name Stalker, Shadow, lol bet you didnât expect me to use it this way,

Chapter 4
Renegade hadnât been given long to recover and now he was about to be banished. âPrince Renegade has betrayed his pack, his family, and his subjects. Now Prince Renegade will be banished!â Said their father as everyone cheered, their father nodded his head âdo itâ said Vengeance proudly. The guards started to surround Renegade on all sides except the one facing the dark zone, the guards growled and slowly came closer. Renegade backed up closer and closer to the dark zone, trying not to show his fear, fear would only tempt them, Renegade must show no fear, he would be back, Vengeance would lead the tribe to their death. Renegade spun around and ran into the dark zone, knowing he could not fight his tribe.
Renegade had been walking for about an hour when hairless creatures appeared from the ground, growling. One of the hairless creatures started to swell up and turn red, Renegade new what these where, he had seen them from a distance and heard stories, such horrible, terrible, ugly creatures could not have a name that described them for they where all to terrible, they where nameless. Renegade fought them off but he didnât have enough strength due to being chased by the basilisk. Renegade realized he could not win this fight so he jumped over the smallest nameless and used his long claws to climb up a cliff wall and into a small cave, there was light in the cave. Renegade went closer to the light was, until, it made a squeak âplease donât eat me! Iâll keep you safe from the nameless! Just donât eat meâ begged the glowing thing, it was a featherlight, Ren(Renegade) laughed. âIâm not going to eat you, Iâm not even hungry, but it would be great if you could keep the nameless away for me, whatâs your name?â Asked Ren politely ây-you arenât? M-my names Ceiliaâreplied the featherlight ânice to meet you Ceilia, Iâm Prince Renegade, but you can just call me Renâ replied Ren sitting down âyou must be from one of the giant ravager tribes!â Thought Ceilia. Ceilia explained how she new about the ravager tribes, Ceilia explained that she never left the cave, when Ren asked how she survived without leaving the cave Ceilia explained that there was water in the cave, fast growing glowing mushrooms to eat, and her light and the mushrooms light kept out the nameless. Ceilia asked Ren about why he wasnât with his tribe and explained to Ceilia that he had been exiled.
Renegade had been staying with Ceilia for about a month now and they worked together to get food and survive everyday, only leaving the cave to get supplies, taking Ceilia with Ren so nameless didnât attack them, and finding the best places to avoid. Today Ren was going out alone as he was going to stay close to the cave and new how to tell if nameless where going to pop out of the ground or not, but today, today, something was different, there hadnât been any earthquakes and it was quieter then usual, as if something had disturbed the whole cave (btw this takes place in aberration). All of a sudden six nameless popped out of the ground, growling, as the alpha swelled up and turned red. Ren tried to fight them but they kept appearing and out of no where the ground started to shake, the nameless stopped attacking, and a Reaper King arose from the ground, roaring. Ren could not defeat infinite nameless AND a reaper king, he was definitely dead. âINCOMING!â Yelled a voice as a direwolf with a featherlight on its back and a thylacoleo following jumped into the circle of nameless and the reaper king with Ren. The featherlight shined as bright as it could, wounding the reaper king and nameless causing them to go back underground âare you alright?â Asked the thylacoleo.

Chapter 3
Renegade woke up seeing that he was in front of his father, who now had a giant basilisk head sitting next to him âFather! It was terrible! We tried to tell Renegade that it was a terrible idea to lead the basilisk to camp but he didnât listen! The guards where barely able to warn anyone, but Renegade led the basilisk to the back and we didnât know that was where he was planning on doing it! I was barley able to stop him!â Complained Vengeance. Their fathers head snapped toward Renegade âis this true?!â Yelled their father, Renegade was about to answer when Andrea answered âits all true father! I saw it! Renegade betrayed us! He was so upset about you reconsidering his rights to the throne that he tried to lead the basilisk to you so he could take the throne before you could revoke his rights!â Called Andrea, stepping in front of Renegade, Andrea could spin anyoneâs words, especially her own, into extremely convincing lies, and this was how she manipulated their father on a daily basis, especially without their mother to keep their father from getting trapped in Andreas web of lies. âI, leader of our glorious tribe, revoke Renegades rights to the throne, banishing him to the dark region, and giving Prince Vengeance Renegades right to the throneâ called their father, everyone present cheered, both Vengeance and Andrea had dark smirks on their faces.
