The raptor is a good beginning mount.It is good at gathering meat and is fast. The raptor however has low stamina and health so fight smaller dinosaur to level up and then move on to fight larger dino. The raptor is a pack animal and in a group can easily kill players. It is also good at base defense if you put your raptors on aggressive and wander IN YOUR BASE WALLS. They are a good first mount and even helpful later on when you tame multiple and make a pack

Despite what people tell you these are no early game only tame I have 4 and I am undesputed king of the area no level 150 Rex dares take me on packs of 5 Allos run from me my raptors are monsters

This is great for taming other small creatures, because of it's pounce ability you can pounce small creatures such as sabertooths, direwolfs and terror birds without getting damage a little...if you pounce an creature then use your crossbow to tranq them

Use 1 campfire and 1 standing torch to hatch egg (In base)

Speedy, deadly and agile the raptir is the perfect mount for getting around the island if you have just started playing ark. The saddle for the raptor is unlocked at lvl18. Raptors efficiently kill small dinosaurs, and can even kill a trike. Once upgraded they can take on low level Carnotauruses.

If your raptor is level 200+ then if you are careful you can easily kill level 50 Rex, you just have to lead it to a paracer or a diplo the Rex will attack the diplo and you can take it out from behind. people can get easy levels

Pump wight to start they don't have much

I tamed a raptor and named him Peter! Then when i was chopping tree a crocodille came and tried to kill me! Peter jumped on the crocodille, killed him and saved me! After that i named him Blue!

To everyone who says this is the worst dino, Utahraptor Prime, sub-species of Utahraptor, did you know you can tame one? It’s really not that hard. 😂

The best early to mid game tame. Once you get just one, your hide and meat problems are made much less difficult. A high level with a pack of weaker raptors are enough to take down most regular Dino’s and the occasional alpha without losses.

I recommend leveling to around 2k~ hp assuming use of saddles. Then maxing damage. Stamina shouldn’t be an issue for high levels and most mid levels.

Bolas are recommended, crossbow/bow is nice, but slingshot can also do the job. Just don’t expect to tame the entire pack with bolas and a slingshot.

As a travel mount they are ok. Trikes are generally better because of their great knock back and weight early on.

Typically you’ll see packs of 3-2 but you can see packs of 6-7 if unlucky.

These creatures are actually based off a Dino called a utahraptor and not a velociraptor!

uses for pvp:

early game protection: raptors are decently strong, and a pack can take down threats much larger than itself.

Raiding? you bet! : This Tactic Will require two players on a tribe.

the first player pounces the player you are raiding.

the second player starts tranquilizing the player you are raiding.

the pounce will not let the raid target move, nor attack. the tranqs are to render this effect permanent. (cuz he'll be knocked out)

mid game uses: not a whole lot they are good for... backup mounts is what i use them for.

late game: ... what? you thought there would be a use late game? yeah right.

Breed these with Rexes. Legend says their babies will attack anything you point a laser pointer at.

These guys are basically speedy rideable less annoying dilos.

You can tame several Tek Raptor's with 4 males and 20 females and make a slaughter house that produces electronics, oil, scrap metal and element dust. It's money in the bank.

These guys are so useful I once was being attacked by a carno and my two raptors kicked it's a** you can craft a saddle and ride them or have them follow you and protect you

On mobile a taming two of three of these and leveling them up will allow you to take almost anything. Keep their inv full of food and their health basically never goes down. One of the best tames I’ve found because they’re speedy killers and regain Health at unheard of speeds

In my opinion if you don’t have raptor in early game you feel weak but if you tame a raptor (any lvl even low) you feel unstoppable like me
