Best 2nd tame, get yourself a trike and then a raptor and you have your berry gatherer for herbivore tames/narco berries and the raptor for meat gathering for carnivorous tames. Sorted.

2 tranq arrows to the face... your welcome

To tame velociraptor

1. Craft at least two bola’s

2. Search the west for them (most common there)

3. Throw bola before he/she pounces

4. Hit a few times with club

5. Bola a couple seconds after last bola (to not escape)

6. Feed at least 8 raw meat (depends on level)(more info on how to feed in Dododex)

7. Wait patiently for tame ready

8. Keep it alive...

To tame follow these steps

Step 1: Find a high level

Step 2: Bola it

Step 3: Use tranq arrows to knock out

Step 4: Repeat on opposite gender

Step 5: Breed for a berry good army and make sure your saddle is on the leader

How to tame raptors:

1.Craft bola.

2.Craft wooden bat/club.

3.Collect meat for the raptor.

4.Open quest: Hunt: Raptor, and get out your map and compass and find the raptor on the map, it’s location should be marked with a circle. Make sure you have the bola hotbarred.

5.When you see the raptor, get out your bola and throw it at the raptor immediately.

6.Get behind the raptor, as while trapped in the bola, it can still attack from the front.

7.Hit it on the tail until it falls unconscious, then feed it your recently claimed raw meat, and wait.

8.Should enough time pass, you shall have your raptor! Now train it with caution as while they are great damage dealers, they aren’t the tankiest in terms of health, so leveling that up is top priority. Thx for reading

If you hit a level 95 raptor, with a bola. It is very easy to knock out with Tranq arrows and fist. VERY EASY. The only hard part of taming a raptor is the part of just sitting and putting meat and giving it narcos or narcoberries.

If you tame a good 3 or 4 raptors,you can not only take down bigger and better dino's, but get meat,recourses, and a lot of hide by killing other dino's.

Bola the raptor, go behind it and club till unconscious, and then feed it raw meat and if the unconsciousness is going down fast, just give it narcotics, pretty easy to make at low level, i recommend to feed it 3 narcotics or 2,, I tamed a level 2 Raptor in less than 10 minutes with that method, just for it to die to a spinosaurus, so definitely come with a saddle :) , please like

Now,let’s start packing

You will need

1:Raw meat

2:narcotic (if you have motor and pestle)

3:bow and arrow(tranq arrows.you don’t want to kill the thing)

4:bolas(it’s always safe to bring extras)

5:a club

Now that we are done packing,let’s see what kind of taming mode you wanna do

Mode 1:Get on top of a rock and shoot it with tranqs and a bola

Mode2:hit it with a club or fists

Choose one of those modes and go try it!

They can in fact fit through doorways

Use a bola and tranq arrows on a crossbow

Most of them are by the mountains obviously,

But if your looking for them go there.

MOBILE TIPS

A way to trap one is to make a stone foundation and 4 stone doorways and place all of them except one of the doorways and lure a raptor in and place the doorway and block him off

When I was playing primal fear I saw a raptor and started to run. Suddenly I remembered a human against a raptor is a win for humans so I turned around and fought it! Then this message appeared: you were killed by an alpha raptor level 204. Oops...

These guys are pretty easy to tame if not high level. Just take a crossbow and a few tranq darts and shoot ast it but make sure they haven't noticed you. When it comes closer bola it and continue shooting until it's knocked out. Feed em Raw meat, they don't need much of it. They're useful too, but some things that aren't so well:

-they cant carry a lot of things

-they have low stamina

-they don't have much health

-they may be fast but are super slow in water, even high level raptors

Its kinda annoying that they are so slow In water, if you're lucky, 1 or 2 megapiranhas will attack you. If you're Unlucky, (Mantas sometimes) Cnidarias and megapiranhas can also come. Megalodons is pretty rare tho, depending on where you are.

When you are teaming the raptor don't get too close with it if you get enough close the raptor will jump on you and kill you

These creatures are fantastic! If you ask it to target a animal, like a para it can kill it it like, 2 seconds.

How To Tame:

1. I recommend being high like on a rock.

2. Bola it

3. Make sure to be behind the raptor, you can knock it out with fists, club, traq, etc.

4. Feed it raw meat if you don’t have anything else ( You can use soothing balm.)

5. Name your raptor! Enjoy!

If you want to trap a raptor, they can fit through doorframes but they cannot fit through doorframes with a wall on top. If you skipped the doorframe and just had an elevated wall they couldn’t go through because of their hit box.

No-one's shared a tip about raptor breeding so I thought I'd help you folk out!

Raptors hatchlings are really easy to take care of. They hatch with about 3 standing torches, although the number varies depending on the ambient temperature of your region and time of day. They'll need about a stack of raw meat to make it through the entire maturation process and can be fed from a trough once they reach the 'juvenile' stage (10% maturity), however you WILL need to give them food beforehand as they'll starve before they reach 10%. Otherwise you can really just leave them be. Obviously they can't be ridden and I strongly don't recommend fighting with raptors that haven't matured yet as they have less health than a fully grown raptor (which already has low hp).
