Chapter 9
Tealfeather awoke with her throat on fire. Not literally, but she had seen fire once from a distance - a sweeping wave of orange tendrils turning the landscape to blackened ash - and imagined that it would feel something like this. It had been two days since she'd last drunk anything. It was early in the morning, still dark, and an earsplitting wall was tearing through the camp. Teal opened her eyes and saw a desperate Scarletfeather attempting to hush Indigofeather, who was making a high-pitched keening cry. Amberfeather walked over with Orangefeather limping behind her. "Here." Tealfeather heard her say as she handed Scarlet a leaf with a pitiful splattering of water droplets on it. "Water and narcoberries. She'll be asleep in no time. But... this will be the last time. I've run out if berries *and* water."
Somehow, Bronzefeather had slept through the commotion, and was soundly dozing in an uncomfortable position. Cuts and scabs riddled his pale, pale green skin. Over at his nest, Bloodfeather was watching Indigofeather with a disapproving expression on his face. Not sad, or tired, but disapproving. Teal felt a sudden stab of anger. It was no secret that the clan leader was indulging himself with the limited water and food they had. *How dare he!* Scarletfeather's hatchlings were dying. Silverfeather had already seemingly given up, curled in a trembling ball. The elders were dying. Teal spotted a dangerously thin Limefeather trying to strike up a conversation with another elder. It had been five days since Teal had bought back any prey. It seemed... smarter than the dodos and lystro that were the main source of food back home. *Home.* Oh, how Teal wished she was home. She suddenly felt a wave of tiredness wash over her, and rested her head on her talons.
Tealfeather dreamed. She dreamed of Star, the raptor always in the back of her thoughts. Star, the raptor Bloodfeather had killed in cold blood. She didn't miss him exactly, after all, she didn't know him. But he likely had family and friends and people who would care that he was gone. Teal saw the jaws clamp down on his neck as she had so many times before; in her dreams, and also in the waking world. There was nothing she could do, she already knew that. Without a word, Tealfeather turned away from the scene and let out a sigh, weighed down by the grief for the raptor she hadn't know and could tell no-one about.
A blood-curdling cry split the peacefulness of the silent sunrise. Tealfeather looked up in alarm and saw Tawnyfeather crouched over the sleeping figure of Goldfeather, her mother and Greyfeather's grandmother. "Mom!" She cried, pain and grief clear in her voice.
Tealfeather looked closer. She had felt that something was different, and realised with a stab of sadness that the uneven breathing of the elder had progressed to stillness. Goldfeather was dead.

Chapter 2-
Chapter 2
Tealfeather had seen One-Eye act like this before. She turned around and saw Bloodfeather standing behind her.
"Hello Grandfather," she said dryly.
Bloodfeather hesitated, as if he was considering punishing her. "Nice catch," he said in the end.
"What do you want?" Tealfeather asked coldly.
"What makes you think I would need anything... from you," the Alpha Raptor hissed.
"Oh please, it's not as if you ever chat with me. The only times I see you is clan meetings and when you ask me for help."
Bloodfeather growled at her and walked away.
Tealfeather sighed. She knew she was treading dangerous water, but there was something strange about her grandfather that just wanted to make her bite him whenever she saw him. The sun began to set as she walked toward the river. Best case scenario, she would catch a fish for dinner. Worst case scenario, she would tire herself out. She crept slowly along the riverbed, looking for fish. An odd nagging was tugging at the edge of her mind. It meant she had to lay an egg. The weird nagging had scared her when she was younger, but now it was more of an annoyance. She laid the egg by the riverbed and left it there - as far as she cared, the Titanoboas could have it. Teal saw something wiggling in a shallow pool of water near the river. Score! There was a Sabertooth Salmon flopping around in the small puddle. Tealfeather killed it with a quick bite and carried it back toward camp.
"Psst, Bronze."
"Teal?"
"I caught a salmon."
"Um... cool?"
"Let's eat it."
"But we have to put it on the pile."
"No we don't! Besides, I annoyed Grandfather today. He'll give me the most maggot infested, rotten piece of meat he can find."
"Not my problem."
"Oh come on."
"No, I'm eating with Grandfather tonight. He told me to. I don't want to get in any trouble."
"Fine."
"Thank you."
Tealfeather strolled into the forest, looking for a spot to eat her kill. She sighed. Why was her brother so obsessed with following the rules? Surely it was unhealthy to be so disciplined. She ate half of the salmon and left the rest for the pile. As much as she loved breaking rules, she wasn't hungry, and she couldn't exactly come home with nothing - she smelled of blood. The sun was setting now, and the rest of the raptor were heading to the pile for dinner. Teal dropped off the salmon, muttered something about not being hungry, and made her way back to her nest. It wouldn't be Teal's for much longer. Her mind shied away from the prospect of her pairing. She lay down in the sheltered pile of moss, leaves and twigs and curled in a ball, her feathered tail resting on her nose. When Yellowfeather came in a few minutes later, she was asleep.
One day I was going to tame a spino so I thought I should use the raptor method so I got some arrows in but then my raptor (blue) died and I was going to tame the spino in honor of her and get her implant back but the spino ran and I never got the chance to tame it I went searching for blue who was a light green color but the spino ate her body ever since then I have blamed my self for that moment and the next raptor I tame if I do will live in her honor and I learned something that day...in ARK you can always get your self back but you can't get the pets back.

2nd last time I had a raptor, I thought it would be powerful enough for it to go into the swamps. The raptor was named “Big Joe” and was around lvl 165. Big Joe had around 1450 health and was a useful mount; more than my last raptor. One weak kaprosuchus actually managed to kill it. Maybe because I told it to be passive. Once I killed that kapro, another one killed me. I wish I still had him.

Claws death MAKES ME VERY SAD AND MAAAAAAAD!!!!!
Okay LITTERALLY I was so lucky today. I was trying to get a mesopitecus, the little monkey, and this raptor killed me. So I went back, trying to see if the monkey was still there and it wasn’t, but where I died I found a raptor egg- I hesitated, grabbed it anyway. And my energy was so low so I couldn’t even run, I walked majority of the way back to my base, and when I got energy, I just ran to my base and threw the egg into my storage. I was scared, I have no idea why no raptor just went and hunt me down, am truly lucky today.

Prologue
—————————————————————————
There was an ancient tribe of raptors. They were the rulers of the Ark at the time. But then the Ravagers invaded, and drove them away, killing most of them. A female escaped with her eggs, and travelled far away. She found a pack, and joined them. She then started the raptor tribe, swearing to take revenge for destroying here tribe. The eggs then hatched, and there were two males, and a female. Sorry I had to cut this short. Part two soon
So I crafted like 100 bolas, slammed them into my storage box, and then grabbed 6 out. I made 3 tranq arrows, went out looking for a raptor, and then I saw one that i really liked. It was a beautiful silver. I tried to tame is, but my bola misfired. Then it jumped on me and started eating me. I repeated this cycle about 6 times, until I finally actually aimed correctly. Now I had a frozen raptor. So I shot it with a tranq arrow to the head, and waited like 4 seconds, and then it passed out. Then I gave it meat, and finally tamed it. Since I went through such pain and suffering to tame that thing, I named it Victory Trophy. (Vic for short.) Now here I am, 1 month later, living on a raft, (yes I live on a raft and travel the island.) with a pet raptor. I gather resources and find landmarks from different places on the island. And everywhere I go, I take a certain raptor with me. This raptor’s name is Victory Trophy.
