How to Kill these guys: 1. Get a pike or a crossbow. If your using a crossbow, then climb up on a rock and start shooting. For a pike, get atleast 8 bolas to immobilize the raptor and then kill it with the pike.

How to Tame: 1. Get a crossbow filled with tranq arrows or tranq darts. Also get bolas and start shooting it at the head. This guy prefers mutton and prime meat. My way of taming these guys is parasaur kibble because it’s fast and easy.

Tip: kill cndarias for bio toxins just in case you cant afford narcs then feed it when taming a raptor (mobile works, i dont know about PC)

How To Tame: The Raptor.

Preparation:

-a bola

-a slingshot and at least 7 stones

-a stack of raw meat

Taming:

Find a Raptor, they can be be found on beaches or in forests commonly. when you find one, equip a bola, and hit it with the bola, now pull out your slingshot and heatshot it a few times. it wll be knocked out. now feed it raw meat and u got a raptor!

The Raptor is the best starter cave tame and PvP tame

1: craft some bolas( 3-5 would work just in case you miss or there's more then one)

2: make sure you have a Wooden club and meat( prime meat would be good if you can get your hands on it)

3: find a raptor and bola it

4: once it's trapped beat it up with a wooden club(lol)

5: once it's knocked out feed it meat in it's inventory

6: level 18 is when you can get raptor saddle for 9 points

7: to pounce swipe down on mobile

Can knock you out of a trike and some taller mounts with their 1 meter jump

The app says that Raptors cannot run through doors I made a trap out of doors. The raptor ran through the doors and ate me.

Best starter dino, easy to tame, can get knocked easily, just use bola and club (if u r low level + the raptor is low lvl too) or tranq arrow, even can clear cave of artifact for you ....

Raptors aren’t great in combat, but can usually help you out of an early game scrape so here’s a guide to tame one.

1. Raptors are all over the jungles in the southern half of the island, sometimes wandering down to the beach. They often spawn in groups so watch out for multiple. Kill all others you don’t want, because they will make taming really annoying.

2. Raptors can be bola’d so use that to trap them as they run towards you. IF TAMING MULTIPLE IN ONE PACK, bola them ALL before you start shooting, or they will harass you as you try to tranq the first one you bola. Once they are all bola’d tranq them in the order of first bola’d to last. That way the one that will break free soonest is tranqed first. If you are taming lots in one group and you can’t tranq them all before they break out, tranq as many as you can then get away and wait for the bola cooldown to reset, then repeat. You will need about 5 tranq arrows per max level or 3 tranq darts

3. I recommend feeding them prime meat, because it is readily accessible and saves a lot of taming effectiveness, but if you have simple kibble definitely use it for the extra levels. On official it’ll take 17ish prime, vs around 7 on single player.

I think if you are in ark mobile make sure to tame a t bone and get a saddle you can shot tranks from atop whale the rap can’t properly latch on to it 👍🏻 so that mobile can get one of these for once

It's very easy to kill raptors, if one or two attack you it's easy to deal with, just use the balls, trap them and kill them with the spear, if you want to tame them, use the balls and hit them with a club or shoot a tranquilizer arrow and add meat raw in their inventory, if there is more you run to the nearest forest, they are fast but very easy to lose through the forest.

If you have a FCKNG problem and there is an alpha raptor close to where you live, then you stay tuned lol

1. As far as I know, you can't tame it, so don't even think about it, apart from the fact that they are psychopaths, they kill all the dinos that appear in front of them, so if there is a parasaur near your base and the alpha goes to attack it, the parasaur can attract it to you. near to you

2. It has at least 14k life, that is, you alone at a relatively low level can't even touch it

3. I recommend you keep all your items in a chest and keep luring it away from your base like a kamikaze defense, attract it, die, be reborn, lure it further away and die again. Just to get him away from me. (Balls don't work on this demon)

4. If you have a bow and tranquilizer, tame about 2 brontosaurus and put a target on the raptor, I killed an alpha like that.

They may be the weakest alpha but they still kill (ok nvm get a trike to atleast lev 200 then spam it's attack don't move then you have a dead prime meat explosion)

Whether you are playing on, the island, aberration, scorched earth, gen 1/2, or extinction, if you want to tame one of these guys, then follow these simple steps.

1. Get 2-5 bolas depending on the pack size.

2. Get a slingshot, bow or crossbow with tranqs, or a longneck rifle with tranq darts.

3. Find the one you want to tame and make sure there aren’t any baddies around.

4. Bola it and shoot it with tranqs until it is knocked out.

5. Feed it raw primes, regular kibble, or mutton to get the best taming effectiveness.

6. Once tames craft it a saddle at level 18.

Tips: Raptors can jump, pounce on creatures with a drag weight below 100, and are really good pack animals.

Uses.

Hunting : these guys are usually underestimated in strength. In some youtube videos people say that you shouldn't try to fight trikes unless you have a pack of em.. kinda right.. if there low lvl!.. a high lvl can take on 2 trikes if it has a saddle on.. and the right amount of health and melee.. I have a raptor with 960 health and 40 damage per hit. And a saddle. And 330 stamina. And he could easily take on trikes and maybe even low lvl rexes.. and carnos!.. they also have there pounce ability which let's em pin down creatures and get a bunch of free hits without getting attacked back. And it usually means 75% death for most low lvl creatures that can be pounced.. next factor!.

Traveling : these guys are fast.. like in my opinion : 35-38 miles per hour. And they also don't use much stam.. 330 Stam makes my raptor hunter be able to run for 45 seconds.. and there speed is compared to iguanodons which are also fast af!.. when there in qaudripedle mode. Iguanodons. Not raptors. But continuing. Final factor!.

Some good stuff : there saddle unlock lvl is 18 and not hard to make. There easy tames.. just Bola em. And trang/club em out depending on the lvl and torpor they have. Can easily handle small creatures no worries. The only thing you'll have to worry about is stuff like therizenos and packs of raptors.. cause it'll take you a while to handle a pack and one raptor can pounce you of your dino and kill you and yo raptor. But definently a good early-mid game tame.. even is better then terror birds.. bruh gliding is ok.. but you can tame pteranadons for longer flights and better escaping. Raptors are still great tames..

First throw bola and hit them with how much tranq arrows or toxic arrows then watch them suffer as you hit them, then give meat once they sleep and if it looks like they’re gonna wake up give stone barrel of narco acid and the best thing to feed it is raw meat
