Tips & Strategies
Uses.
Hunting : these guys are usually underestimated in strength. In some youtube videos people say that you shouldn't try to fight trikes unless you have a pack of em.. kinda right.. if there low lvl!.. a high lvl can take on 2 trikes if it has a saddle on.. and the right amount of health and melee.. I have a raptor with 960 health and 40 damage per hit. And a saddle. And 330 stamina. And he could easily take on trikes and maybe even low lvl rexes.. and carnos!.. they also have there pounce ability which let's em pin down creatures and get a bunch of free hits without getting attacked back. And it usually means 75% death for most low lvl creatures that can be pounced.. next factor!.
Traveling : these guys are fast.. like in my opinion : 35-38 miles per hour. And they also don't use much stam.. 330 Stam makes my raptor hunter be able to run for 45 seconds.. and there speed is compared to iguanodons which are also fast af!.. when there in qaudripedle mode. Iguanodons. Not raptors. But continuing. Final factor!.
Some good stuff : there saddle unlock lvl is 18 and not hard to make. There easy tames.. just Bola em. And trang/club em out depending on the lvl and torpor they have. Can easily handle small creatures no worries. The only thing you'll have to worry about is stuff like therizenos and packs of raptors.. cause it'll take you a while to handle a pack and one raptor can pounce you of your dino and kill you and yo raptor. But definently a good early-mid game tame.. even is better then terror birds.. bruh gliding is ok.. but you can tame pteranadons for longer flights and better escaping. Raptors are still great tames..
More Raptor Utility Tips
If you watch the ARK: The Animated Series trailer youβll get an exclusive cosmetic.
I tamed about 20 of them and killed a bronto in like two seconds.
Handy tip: they canβt pin you down if youβre in water. Like so more people can see.
If high energy level these things can be monsters and beat caves in a heartbeat.
Inf stamina in the wild, but when u tame it, they still run fast but that stamina, that stamina runs out faster than my money
When tamed, a raptor is a very fast and strong mount but they don't have very much carry weight. Level up weight, speed, and damage.
Breeding not-so-basics 101:
Incubation: surround the egg in a ring of torches (recommend standing) and light them wooden poles on fire, if it says too hot, turn off a torch. Too cold? Light one up. If it is just right, there should be no βToo Hot!β Or βToo Cold!β Sign and should say βIncubating (10:00:00)β or something like that and the teal blue bar should go down. But if the red bar is going down instead of the blue, check the egg conditions again. If the red bar reaches zero, it cracks and it disappears. But if it hatches correctly, yβa got a baby creature, hooray!
Imprinting: this oneβs a doozie, so imma make it simple. Imprinting is a OPTIONAL a thing to do. βBut why so many YouTubers like Syntac do it???β Shush, I was gonna get to that. Imprinting provides health and damage bonuses, being best i remember +50% or 1.5x stats. But how do you imprint? Oh itβs easy. Once you have a baby dino and NOT let it starve (it canβt eat until itβs a juvenile) sooner or later it wants care, coming from a cuddle, walk, cooked prime fish meatβ¦ EXTRAORDINARY KIBBLE?!? Yeah thereβs a lot it can range from. And it varies per dino per imprint method per server settings, so if you have a giga you wanna imprint and the imprint times only like 10 seconds, each single imprint will make such a small dent itβs like trying to blow away the moon with your breath, itβs gonna take a bit, again. Depending on your settings
Age Stages: the shortest one of them all. So imma make this really wasteful of vertical space
Baby: 1/10 of max hp and weight i think
Juvenile: can start eating from troughs, i havenβt really cared much about baby stats so Iβm just guessing 1/2 of max hp and weight
Adolescent: 3/4 Of max hp and weight, I think it can start attacking, idk what or how much it does compared to fully grown
Adult/mature: fully grown, 100% usage of health and weight bars. Thatβs basically it

currently using as caravan guards due to their speed and damage definitely worth getting
Donβt listen to that goofy ahh lvl 20 uncle who said that there isnβt pack buff on mobile, yes there is itβs just not on raptors or compys the ones I know that have pack buff on mobile itβs allosaurus and dire wolves
Up so more people see this
Raptors are essentially better Dilos. Whe lacking the poisonous blinding spit of a Dilo, they have a much better DPS due to their speed. In groups of three or more they benefit from a pack boost, and in groups of at least four I notice they tend to take on bigger threats on the Ark (notably Sarcos and Kapros). Plus their pounce ability is not to be overlooked.
In short, tame Dilos for the early game, but Raptors as you move into mid game.
