If you see an alpha, then run immediately! They will kill you in seconds if they reach you. Run to water; they cannot or will not (I don't know which) swim downwards. If one attacks you at close range, you are as good as dead. They have 15 times health and extra damage and cannot be knocked out or tamed. Normal raptors also can't swim down, so if you can't kill it, then it's time for a swim!

I am trying to get an anky but where the Ankys are I have to go through a bunch of raptors then like another 2km where there could be more, so how do I get through? Please help me get an anky….

If it helps to know I have one raptor pet two turtles a sarco and some dillos and my best weapon is a crossbow

Just tamed a green level 112 raptor. Named it Charlie. To ensure safety for the raptor I shot a Theri and it killed me. Can’t craft a saddle cause I got sent back to lvl 10. Watch out for theris.

I was walking with my raptor (Level 30).I was walking in the forest for hunting,and then I saw a rex! I was scared because the trex was level 50,and then I fight with the rex.but the rex was very strong and then my raptor died. I felt angry and then I kill the rex with my shotgun. I was very sad because the raptor was very dear to me.His name is might.(rip might)

When I got my first raptor I was at a swamp since my base was neighboring the swamp and I had to deal with sarco titano boa’s and those things and I was used to it then one day I was getting metal and I got attacked by a sarco which was normal for me but i forgot that I didn’t leave neutral on since I was hunting earlier and the raptor came and helped them a kapro attacked him and I killed the sarco but I was to late 1 like = I raptor egg don’t bring low level raptors to swamps that’s the tip.

This idiot killed the level 300 quetz knocked out on the ground that wasted many tranq darts with an argy

Then i got revenge.

Someone was asking about if they should try to kill an alpha raptor, No, No, No. Unless you have 2 Rex or Spino etc, they will kill all your creatures while you watch. My thoughts are to: 1. destroy all your structures, so you can start fresh. 2. Evacuate ALL your creatures. 3. find a safe, new island. 4. rebuild all of your stuff. Once an alpha raptor invaded my island and killed all my stuff except 6 things. Don't make my mistake.

So I ran into a raptor at about lvl 22 and I just bola it gave it 3 regular raw meats and it was tamed (raptor was lvl 11 at the time). Sadly its herd killed it about 5 mind later 😢 bye bye rappy.

How to tame a Raptor

Resources needed:

Bolas (being more if needed)

Bow with tranq arrows (bring more if needed)

Meat or prime meat (if your lucky)

Narcotics

And of course.. Love

Step 1

Find a raptor, if there's more than 1 then either you bait it away or kill it

Step 2

Approach Raptor and throw the bola to it

Step 3

Use bow with tranq arrows and keep hitting until ko

Step 4

Feed raptor with meat and keep an eye out on the torpor meter by feeding it with narcotics because once it gets to zero then the raptor will wake up

Step 5

Wait and defend the raptor, especially from annoying pests like dilos and other Raptors

Step 6

Other tips:

Narcotics are made with narcoberries and rotten meat.

Raptors can pounce on raptors and smaller prey.

Raptors have an extremely fast attack speed.

Raptors run fast.

Raptors get a pack bonus when there is more than 3 Raptors.

Annoying pest but once tamed then life gets good

All tek variant creatures drop the same amount of resources, although parasaurs are tempting because they are weak and passive, raptors are smaller and therefore much efficient for tek farms

Wild raptors are THE WORST. I was taming a theriz and two of these things came out of NOWHERE and killed the theriz. Although, I tamed one of the raptors…

Beware because these things can glitch your tame in mobile if they pounce on you and then die you won’t be able to move with your mount anymore

The raptors are perhaps the most annoying Dino I have ever encountered in ark. I was taming 2 allosaurus and cleared the area just to be sure that nothing can stop me from getting those 2 beasts into my gang but no out comes 2 level 5 raptors who ate my downed allosaurus

Just a warning: Alpha creatures can’t be tamed. Unless you are able to use commands

So if you have only 1 bolas you can escape or kill him and him is very easy for tame its will be my third dino good luck (so im russ and this can be a mistakes)

Make sure u guys have atleast 3 bolas if u want to tame them because there can be a pack or u might miss and I died cuz I miss once bolaed go BEHIND it I am telling u BEHIND it or else it will jump on u and eat u a tasty meal for him this happened to me too it jumped on my face and started eating my arm thankfull my dilos came and save me. Go BEHIND it and hit him with bat *bonk* shove meat in its throat while its eyes r still open(it's eyes stay open in mobile but idk about pc) and boom u got a raptor DON'T UNCLAIM IT NOW

If your attempting the Argy pickup method of taming make sure you do not have a Dimorphodon on your shoulder. The Dimorphodon can attack and kill the raptor while it is in the Argy's claws.

I had just crafted a raptor Sattle so I put it on my level 6 raptor and whent off to find the volcano. On the way we got attacked buy a swarm of titanboas I got flung off my raptor (Rex) but the first one and managed to kill that one I turned around and helped Rex finish off the one he was working on but because of the venom I got knocked out right after me and Rex recked that snake. While I was snoozing Rex beat 7 more snakes before I woke up! Right when I woke up I saw Rex fall to the ground unconsius right when the 8th snake died I was left with 4 snakes to deal with by myself and barely managed without my pal Rex but after I killed the last one in total we had killed 14 titanbows. I highly recommend getting a raptor mine killed 9 titan boaws at level 6! (Ps sorry for horrible spelling, I’m talking about the big snakes when I say titianboaws just so you know)
