Hi I love ark and I just want to tell you that a raptor is amazing!!! They are very loyal and are strong Dinos. I have two of them a male named fang and a female named echo (and yes there mating😍) there the most reliable pets I have. Please get this Dino. to knock out you need a slingshot or tranq arrows and at least 3 bolas then it’s all about feeding (please make sure that you don’t accidentally kill it I have made that mistake before)

currently using as caravan guards due to their speed and damage definitely worth getting

If you tamed one of these bad boys do not put it on a raft it ends bad even if you set it to stop I learned the hard way Twice!!!!! P.S here is a hint WARNING DANGEROUS DINOS NEAR BY

Bola raptor so it can’t pounce on you cause when it pounces you can’t do anything except sit there and watch it kill you.

Do not try to bola an alpha raptor!

These jerkholes are smart enough to dodge bola shots

Raptor taming guide

1. Craft bolas (there can be a pack, a lone raptor is rare)

2. Bola the raptor and use either a club or tranq arrows

3. Feed it any type of meat (idk about fish meat)

4. Wait for it to tame

When pinned by a raptor, jump. Press the button to jump as fast as you can as many times aa you can, and yoy will get up.

Early levels things things can make your life miserable. Try to get it to agro a trike or lure it away from your base, even if it kills you.

Just tamed a level 250 (after taming 317) raptor using bow and tranq arrow. Easiest way is to get yourself stuck on a ledge where raptor can't reach you (mere centimetres away from you so it doesn't move and you can headshot it a dozen times).

You know those orange'y cloud emitting Raptors? Yeah, don't approach, it tore down all 5 of my best raptors then I was next (you can guess pretty well what happened next, still not over losing my precious raptor T-T)

It says they can’t fit through doors.But they can.I tested this multiple times.

So basically, I'm new to Ark and I Caught a level 4 raptor. I named it Echo and i usually ride him when hunting for meat. Then I learned that they are actually great tames when gathering meat and running away but make sure to upgrade it's health and stamina so that he can endure attacks long enough to run away. Make sure to protect it well especially if it's low level. I hope this helps and take care.

If you are trying to get away have bolas if not you can lose it it water it swims slower than you

3 or more Raptors give you a pack boost. Breed these babies and be unstoppable

The simplest way to catch these guys is to bola them.

A high rock is ideal, but I’ve had that blow in my face a couple of times. Here’s how I do it:

1.) get in raptor’s line of sight with your bola already swinging. He’ll run in a straight line towards you… it’s hard not to miss.

2.) hit raptor with bola just as he is about to grab you, so there’s no chance of you missing.

3.) get behind trapped raptor and beat him unconscious with either club or fists. The reason I say behind is that if you’re in front and you approach him, he can grab and pin you still. Learned this the hard way once or twice…

You got him! Feed it raw meat, and enjoy. I have five lvl 10-20 raptors, and they kill theris and carnos in a matter of seconds. They’re a must have.

Once I was taming raptors when I saw an alpha raptor. I thought “these things can’t be any worse than a bronto “ so I get out my shotgun and shoot at it .
