EXCEPT..... Metal/stone Hatchet. Even though it doesn't show any hitting animation. You will see that while pinned downed You can cause damage to it through a hatchet.(MOBILE TRIED). Up If Anyone Does Experiment. Good luck. Try it.

Lost my raptor, my other raptor when I went back to get my stuff, gave up on whatever I had in my inventory and got mauled by a normal raptor when I respawned random because my bed is in high CD

I'd rather fight an alpha carno and alpha rex than this b*tch.

Killed the alpha raptor with my ptera but then, few days later a fricking theri sliced my ptera to death. So I deleted that save and started a new playthrough.

Lesson: Don't mess with alpha raptors. And get the **** away from places with theri spawns.

If your running from this be near to water(If you near to water it will swim And it will not be able to pounce on you ) HIT IT WITH A PICK( alot)

If you start a new island I would recommend trying to get a raptor early as they are good hunters and only need a bowler and wooden club to tame. I would recommend taming at least 3-4 raptor as they will then have a pack boost in health and damage. If you get a pack early your going to be safe for a while.

When you see it at low level bola that’s best way to survive it and then nail it with spears to kill

i saw an alpha one time and it killed 3 of my very high level raptors and the first raptor i ever bred and my 2 dodos. It had about 3500 health and was impossible to kill without raptors and i was only on level 38 please stay far away.

They are annoying when they’re not on your Side. running into them all the time is probably why I’ve tamed over 25 of them. right now they are the most tamed Dino that I have in ark.

Raptors are really easy to kill

Just use sword or shotgun

To knock out or kill a raptor, let it see you. Then start running in circles around the raptor and keep hitting it. It worked for me so it can work for you!

Stay far away stand on a rock if possible

To be honest, just always have multiple bolas on you if possible and these guys shouldn’t be to much of an issue.

So i was in west zone 2 with my pteranodon and I spot a lvl 105 raptor on its own so I am like “why not tame one” so I go back to base and get everything i need to tame it and then I go back to west zone 2 for the raptor I tried to lead it to a safer area by attacking it with my pteranodon but when I was leading the raptor it aggravated on a lvl 100 something carbonemys and they fighted in the water and the carbonemys had 2 times it’s health but the raptor actually won and made it out alive with over half its health

This explains just how tough these guys are
