Just got my Raptor yesterday, along with a Direwolf. Went out hunting with them, leveled them up got Gill a saddle. -(My Raptor) Then a Therezonasaur, or whatever you call it, popped out of nowhere, killed my Raptor, Direwolf, and me!

When I was on island I was looking around the forest like trees and stuff. When one of these guys came up to me, I it started attacking me. I try to kill a dodo earlier but I was out of stamina, and I couldn't fight back so don't try to kill a dodo.

My one tip is DONT GO NEAR THEM (: they jump on you and kill you and then they eat you

I encountered that guy once I thought it was a normal raptor but then I hit him a dozen times with my trike and started to confused because it was so much tougher than the normal and I just killed an alpha raptor with so much XP. Luckily he didn't jump at me😁

Ok, if you’re trying to get XP from an Alpha Raptor....DO NOT TRY TO BOLA IT!!!

I was a complete noob and landed with my Ptera to kill it for some extra XP, but my Ptera and I ended up getting killed. But thankfully I learned my lesson.

Alpha Raptors can destroy Wooden Spike walls in a single hit. Beware low levels.

A whole pack attacked me. I was on a cliff side and muttered the words “clever girl” before the thing pounced me off a cliff taking both of us down

When encountering this creature…you don’t have to be fast enough…you just have to have another player with you…and a bola.

These guys are part of the reason why you should always, ALWAYS have at least 3 bolas on you at ALL TIMES.

The Island map raptor location guide: you can find these guys at the riverbank that seperates southzone 1 island and the south zone 2 area, or the mideast-southeast coast of the island.

If you are looking for a raptor go to mountains or the red woods mountain they swarm the hole mountain after killing a few you can find a good level

One time near the swamp, i saw a pack of raptors. There were 9 raptors in that pack. That's all i have to say.

If you are going on a trip and see one of these in the distance, GO THE OTHER WAY as soon as they see you they will run at you and you can’t outrun them. One coming at you? The water, that’s all that will save you unless you have a bola.

In the ark mobile revamp, they don’t pounce anymore. Or so I’ve experienced. I don’t know if that changes when they get the pack buff, though.

Also, the tek raptors don’t count. I’ve been pounced by solo tek raptors for some reason.😭

If your a beginner do NOT try to fight an entire pack of raptors of you will die try to pick them off one by one.
