They tend to do very stupid things like attack a trike that's why they are so hard to find at least when you're looking for them

If you are aware of your surroundings and have at least a pike, you can easily kill these things before they pounce on you.

Uhh Rapter is the species of animal( the deinonychus is a raptor) if ARK was going for a Valocirapter that went WAY off, the Valocirapter is about the size of a chicken and covered( by covered I mead The whole body is covered ) in feathers.

Always keep an eye out for raptors. Their ability to pounce you off your mount and immobilize you is deadly and can catch you by surprise easily.

Also note for new players to ark: When taming raptors you should always check to see if the raptor is in a pack.

This annoying Dino can kill u if ur on under lvl 18.. so stay away from this Dino cause they have a skill that it will make u stuck..

These things are extremely overpowered so bring a dilophosaur or 2

If you're playing on scorched earth do not build a base where these annoying assholes constantly spawn.

I hate this stupid thing with a burning passion, they knock you off of any small mount and if they have you pin down, you can’t do anything until you’re already dead. I swear these things are worse than an early game theosoure and usually when you encounter a bigger things like T Rexis, and such are usually have good enough mounts.and I can easily kill them, and they’re not even very good tames compared to any flyer for anything

I enconted to of there’s they took down the diplodocus I was playing with kill all raptors praise diplodocus AND WTF TO A GASBAG

Okay story time so i was near biome snowy area with my hmm 35 raptors or 20 i forgot and then this rex (lvl 20)

Comes out of nowwhere and then i start running and put my raptors on attack mode or target these guys the raptors i mean have no mercy and killed that rex like hecka fast these guys are good gathers for these guys are good for getting prime meat

You can kill a raptor, but can you kill an alpha raptor? If you cant, heres how. But i think this might only work on mobile ark.

1- You must have a cage and a strong ranged weapon with its ammo, and you must have a flying creature, best to use is a pteranodon.

2-Now not only do you need to find an alpha raptor, but also an extremely flat ground, like EXTREMELY. And once you find a very flat ground, place the cage there.

3-Once you have placed the cage, keep it open, and use your pteranodon to lead the alpha raptor inside, do this by flying over the cage with your pteranodon, and once the alpha raptor gets inside, quickly close the cage.

4-The alpha raptor may start spinning and dancing, but thats alright, since its trapped now, use your ranged weapon to shoot the alpha raptor.

And when that alpha raptor is dead, congrats! You better enjoy that loot otherwise your walls are gonna fall over.

Those f*ker's can stunlock you in Ark Mobile so either:

1: go stand on water they can't lunge at you while ur in water

2: kill them before they kill you

So im bored, playing in a easy game i already have pretty much hard tames such as quetzal spino rex therizino and more...so i have an idea i save my progress to local back up and then make a new game that has medium difficulitiy then i spawn at the easy map such as south zone 2, as usual doing my mission, gather some stuff, make a campfire, days later im level 40, i already tame parasaur level 205, trike level 170, raptor level 157. My next mission is to tame high level carno while i have the soothing balm which u can get by completing hunt the mega piranha i think this is for mobile soothing balm used to boost ur taming progress to 10× faster. Theres an alpha raptor on my base my trike can defeat it cause it has knock back damage pretty good you guys should tame triceratops

Basically there is no way to get away from this dino *except point in speed and stamina* i was minding my own business wandering until a raptor JUST COME UP to me i tried to get away bu i caught up to me I got my raptor i tried to fight it until it's lv Was OUT OF THIS GAME FOR STARTERS it was lv 59 and was lv 21 so basically never encounter a raptor when you're wandering with cloth armor
