For an alpha, a bronto with good stamina can deal with them no problem, they have massive knock back so no issue

Or you can get a journey man sword and do it yourself

Step one: you wanna go in the forest (or near a swamp) bola him/her go behind and use a club or your fists to knock it out.step two: go in its inventory and put in raw meat.it’s that simple

Don’t go in with a turtle when trying to tame this thing the turtle will kill it easily trust me.

I encountered an alpha raptor, pulled the ol' mountain trick on it (Basically just rub up to the side of a mountain and climb uphill, that way it can't climb up to you)

Tbh the mountain trick works on most things, I used it to kill a level 100+ (Pretty sure level 135) Therizinosaur or whatever it was called. Just make sure to bring lots of arrows. Oh, and if you have good aim you can get an achievement thing which gives you an ascendant bow.

For this to be a tip, uh raptors can and will jump on top of you and pin you until you only have one health left. So be fast.

Fun fact when u kill them there is sometimes stuff in the inventory I did not know that but learned it with a price

I tamed a lvl 25 at the northern edges of the redwoods at the water, and I got attacked by a terror bird at night. Luckily my raptor finished taming about 15 seconds in the fight, and chased it away. My pteranodon also got me on its mount, I think, but I don’t know how. Moral of the story, don’t tame in the redwoods unless you are on an elevated platform.

Be careful with alphas. I saw it maul three trikes, a pachyrhiosaurus, and a bronto, and it still didn’t die. But somehow, my small pack killed it.

A Defence tip:

This is for protecting yourself from raptors pounce (i.e

when raptors jump on you and u can't fight back when it is up there).

Learn the wooden shield engram, craft it, equip it in offhand slot. Next enable 3rd person view and tap the crosshair icon (basically aim button) and keep it right in front of your face 'ALWAYS'.

Now whenever u r exploring and any raptor jumps on u and bites u, no health is lost.

Note: this have always worked on my 'ark mobile' singleplayer. I don't guarantee it on other platforms.

Don't try to tame a raptor immediately they are annoying ealry on because you can be taming a dilo for protection and then you're being attacked by a raptor! Also don't take anywhere dangerous until you have more l than at least 5. Happy hunting or taming and stay aware!

These guys are OP in large numbers. If you see a pack, and you’re alone, beware! If one pounces you, the rest of the pack will move in for the kill. They will shred through all your health and armor.

If you play ark get to at least 114 % speed or else they'll catch you... if you dont then run to the nearest trike, parasour, carbyonemys, or iguanodon If you can and let the raptors aggro to the dino... then run away... second way is by bolawing it and run away... 3rd way is to swim away to another island and run off cause they aren't fast swimmers and they'll de aggro to you... the 4th way is by mounting a flyer like a pteranadon or argy and flying away. Hope this helped

Raptor is hated by many, but there is a good tactic that works (she helps me, I don't know about you) in general, the Raptor attacks, you hit it and circle around it, but not too close and not too far away and hit that's the whole tactic
