The speed to outrun raptors is 114 movement speed

They are annoying cause if you get cought you will die it’s so hard

I lost my Dilophasuars to this shit. There is no escaping it. It will pound on you and it will kill you and it will have no mercy.

I was in the progress of knocking stego out so I can tame it, then this little fella came out of nowhere and then starting attacking it and basically killed what could’ve been my potential tame in like 3 seconds. These things are vicious 😭

The easiest place I’ve been able to find raptors is by the island in open fields :) I found mine at the moment there but beware because there’s a lot of bees and other small enemies that you may not see until they attack

Watch out for alphas! They have a red cloud around them. If you see one, RUN! I saw one and thought, well, might as well kill it. Went it with 2 dilos, a carbonemys, 2 iguanadons, a dimorphadon, and a diplodocus. I died once. The only reason I went back for more was my diplodocus. The diplodocus was the only survivor. YOU CAN NOT KNOCK OUT AN ALPHA.

Raptors are fast and agile best thing to do is get on a cliff and try to bola them and shoot the in the head with a slingshot. I have one and it is awesome.

Found a 150 so I went back to base and grabbed my kibble. I came back and it was still sitting there. I used a bola and trapped it and knocked it out. Turns out it had a buddy. Killed its buddy and then waited for it to tame. It tamed and came out at 215. It’s so OP. I love it so much.

I would recommend if you see a tek raptor to tame it and not kill it since they are pretty rare 😃

Not too much of a problem, just watch out for alphas. I was playing splitscreen with my brother the other day on Xbox, and one jumped out and slaughtered him (He was very new. I had given him some gear, but not any bolas, and he wasn't good at fighting yet.). I had only brought my raptor. I whistled for my raptor to attack, and he eventually killed it. However, the alpha brought him down to about 37% health, and I was shooting the thing with my crossbiw the whole time (I ran out of bullets earlier in the trip). He was a level 100 at the time, and the alpha was a level 15. They aren't a joke in combat.

For new players... Just stay in one place and hold the punch button...And keep punching them, They will KO in 7-8 punches

keep a close eye on a raptor or else bc they scare the frick out of you and pounce you if you're not aware of one . keep ur bola out just in case you see a raptor running towards you. you must imedietly kill or tame it bc the

bola lasts 30 secs.

i hate that raptors scare me alot when im lvl 12 with low health.

Okay listen if you are lvl 16+ you can kill a raptor with no tames and just a stone axe so I was lvl 18 walking around when I saw a raptor I thought 💭 this is just for fun I will never actually kill it….it’s too powerful 💭but I hit it and hit it then It pounced (luckily I found out that when a raptor hops on you if you are holding a weapon you can still smack a raptor until you kill it)it was low level and it had low health because I hit it so much I just decided to try to smack it while I was pinned down to the ground but I killed it I thought 💭 😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁😁I am finally powerful enough to tame a raptor!💭I harvested its meat and hide. then filled with proudness of myself left………..12 min later I was killed by a argentavis🤦🏻

Be sure you have a Sleeping Bag or a Bed placed down in the local area. I died to a pack of Abberant Raptors and a Ravager, and due to having no checkpoint in Vanaheim I lost two in-progress high level Kentrosaurus tames. The same can happen any given cave in Fjordur and Valguero. Treat these areas as whole new maps; you never know, my packmates.

I'm not scared of Allosaurs, Alphas, Rexes nor am I Spinos when riding my Baryonyx or my Deinonychus, but if forget Abberant Raptors are around the corner... I experience as much fear as I do when facing a Giganonosaurus.

Regular raptors may not be able to damage above wood but an Alpha Raptor will chomp through stone like it’s cake. Be wary where you build your house.

So I've I was new to ark I built a base you know normal thing to do tamed a Dino until me and my base and my Dino's got sent to heaven by a raptor

There was an alpha by my base i moved out of fear to herbivore island witch was conviently a swims away from my base thing had 5760 health and more melee than a bronto and it had more health than a bronto too didnt want to shoot because it was 50 feet away and didnt want it to agro on my base so i just moved and am making my base and a fabricator and i am living happily on herbivore island. I also go over by my old base location to see if its despawned it hasnt and i watch hopelessy as it slaughters stegos, parasaurs, and ankys. Not the first time either oh and also i tried to tame an anky there once and it wasnt there but a rex was and that scared the sh*t out of me.
