Taming Tip #2

Raptor

First you need to get a bola some meat and a club

Find a single raptor or bring more bolas for multiple tames

After finding a raptor ( low level for beginners) bola it

Then go to the back and use your club to knock it out

After you knock it feed it meat or prime meat to easily tame

So I was just walking around with my dinos (parasaur, moschops, dilo) and all of a sudden compys were attacking and their hit boxes are so tiny and I started hitting my para then the raptors came in I had 2 bolas missed the first got the second then they killed my dinos and killed me !!!

Just bring up to 6 bolas in case there's a pack or you missed

Good luck! Up for my dead dinos down if your mean and like stupid raptors.

If taming a raptor try to use a long range weapon like a slingshot, bow, crossbow, longneck rifle to tame it. This is because if you bola it, be careful if you get close it can still damage you.

Taming at least 3 maybe 4 raptors will allow you to hunt things like T. rex and diplo, you’ll need a minimum of 3 if you want a successful pack

Here is a tip I always use:

Step1= Find it,

Step2=Bola it,

Step3=Knock it out,

Step4=Check for safe environnement ( no other raptors allowed ),

Step5=Sleep if the raptor's hunger bar is full,

Step6=Wake up ( you should find raptor's hunger bar totally empty to work ),

Step7=Feed it ( it will be a really fast taming )

Step8=NAME IT HITLER!!

I don’t mind them, but they get annoying when they LITERALLY KILL THE THERIZINO AND QUETZAL LYING ON THE GROUND THAT WERE VERY HIGH LEVELS. They also killed the Tapejara that I really wanted to tame too. And, well, you know what happened in early game.

What makes a raptor deadly is it’s pounce attack, which renders the target similar to torpor unconcious for a few seconds( you will not gain torpor, but you will be helpless). During this timeframe a raptor can use its biting attacks while in the pounce stage to inflict serious damage to you and your armor. However, if you ride a medium/large mount, you can negate the pounce, making the raptor a nuisance rather than a killing machine.

So I was with my Trike by west zone 2 doing a note run and I see 1 raptor in the distance so I knock it out with my club and whilst I'm taming it I find a pack of raptors my trike was level 54 so it was doing fine and after I tamed it I died to the alpha and after my trike and raptor killed the alpha

When taming a raptor(mobile not sure if it’s different or not on other things) all ur gonna need is bola tranq arrows meat and narcotics , if ya don’t have tranq arrows or narcotics you can use narcl barrys and a bat/fists ( P.S I suck at spelling and I’m lazy ;v; so srry if I spelled some stuff wrong )

Tip1) Raptors usually spawn next to the rivers and sea shores but watch out for spinos,Sarcos,and therozinos,

Tip2) You don’t really need tranq arrows although they make it easiest to knock out. What you need are a lone raptor spyglass (optional) bolas about three and raw meat about 40 for the mid levels. You also need narcotics and about 20 but you could just bring 15. And finally a slingshot and the shots have to be aimed at the head for best knocking out effect. Hope my tip helped and if there are more than one your best bet is try to kill a few using pikes.

This is a Guide on how to get a raptor

1: you get prepared with bolas and tranquilizer arrows. (I suggest about 50 arrows and five bolas)

2: you go looking for raptors with a Mount. (I suggest a para or a iguanodon)

3: bola all raptors in pack and and at least knock out the alpha (you can kill the rest of the pack if you want)

4: Kill some creatures in the area for meat.

The best way to tame a raptor is get 4 bolas and 10 trank arrows I recommend to use a cross bow or a bow turn the tables around on it stalk it till it attacks a dino wait for it to kill the dino it will run towards you use your bola on it and shoot it on the head

Want your baby raptor to grow up faster?

Well, first you’ll need:

1 sleeping bag or bed

As much meat you can fit in its inventory

A quenched throat and full stomach

Now all you need to do is put the meat in the raptor, get yourself stuffed, and take a long, long nap. It’ll quicken the baby’s growth, but won’t ruin the imprinting, that will still be in theory minutes. Thirty real minutes! While if you sleep in ark, the baby grows! Try it out!

Since the raptors growing, it may mean it will be an adult faster, which means less imprinting. But it’s hard and tiring anyways (hence the nap).

This is my method when I want it just a little bigger and growing faster. You can use it if you like but don’t have to.

Beware of the alphas

I was using spyglass ona therizino and the alpha raptor literally one shotted it

I killed it after it went to my base😂

On mobile Once u've done the hunt dilo quest and received the mastercraft/ascendant bow it's just straight forward bola + tranq arrow to the head. Up to level 150 one tranq arrow to the head and one more anywhere else is enough. Higher levels might need two or more arrows on the head but either way its easy. Prime meat works fine as taming food but kibble is better specially since prime meat might be difficult to come by in extremely high levels. Also if u have enough kibble u do not need any narcotics (personally i prefer using prime meat and narcotics since the amount of kibble required by a lv200 and higher is quite daunting)

Y'all wanna know how real men tame a Raptor? We face it head on with no bolas, only with tranq arrows and a trusty crossbow. Works everytime in my play.

BRO THEY ARE AMAZEING I TAMED ONE AND IT KILLED A WHOLE SPINO BY ITSELF AND IT WAS LEVEL 16!! LEVEL 16 AND I KILLS A WHOLE SPINO THAT IS LEVEL 30!! HOWWWW?????!!!!

I built a house with my dodos but a pack of raptors by my house later when I had got a new dodo the raptors ATTACKED,,,AND KILLED MY DODOSgirl I hate raptors
